The temperature and humidity dropped to reasonable levels in the wake of ex-Hurricane Laura. A beautiful day in the upper 70s, with a bit of a NE breeze.
A few light fluffy clouds. The beach was lightly populated, except Matoaka Cottages, where the Sunday crowd was in full force.
Not an exceptional day for fossils, 17 teeth, none notable.
From a couple of days ago, birds working off the beach, marking fish pushing bait to the surface.
I didn't even see the the butterfly until I took downloaded the picture! A Gray Hairstreak in the Spotted Beebalm growing in the dunes near the parking lot.
