Bay Bridge Fishing

Got the call for a commercial trip with Pete for today on Sunday, and started preparing. The trip included Pete, Dan and someone new to me, Dr. Han.  We met the boat at 5:30 at Sandy Point Park, in time to see the sun rise through the Bay Bridge.

Fishing in the morning at the bridge was tough. We could see fish on the finder, but only a few would bite and we soon headed north to seek others.
We tried in several locations, with similar results.
Late in the day, we found ourselves back at the bridge, with a furious outgoing tide, and the fish which had ignored our offerings early were in a biting mood. I lucked into the biggest fish of the day, a fraction of an inch under 36 inches . . .
. . . while Dr. Han caught this nice 30 inch. . .
And Dan landed this 34 inch with much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth.

We ended up with 80 fish, and raw, sore, hands.
