Election 2020: Milley Madness

The story dominating yesterdays news was a story from Woodward (you know, they guy who got a deathbed confession from a well guarded and comatose former CIA director Bob Casey that he knew about Iran-contra), that, after Jan.6 JCSC General Mark Milley contacted his Chinese peers and told them that if a presumably insane Donald Trump ordered a nuclear strike on China, he would give them a heads up. Lots of reports. 'Bonchie' at Red State, HUGE: Mark Milley Pledged to the Chinese to Commit Treason in Order to Undermine Donald Trump and The Gaslighting Begins After Mark Milley's Treasonous Actions Are Revealed. And do you know who else was behind it? From John Sexton at Hot Hair, The conversation Gen. Milley and Speaker Pelosi had about Trump launching a nuclear strike: 'You know he's crazy' (Update) Tristan Justice at Da Fed, Treason?: Gen. Milley Undermined Trump White House With Secret Calls, Promising To Alert China Of Potential U.S. Attacks. Ace, Coup: Milley Secretly Took Control of the Military, Despite Not Being Elected to Any Office; Totalitarian Press Cheers. Twitchy, ‘If true, this is legit treason’: New book reports that Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. Mark Milley secretly coordinated with Chinese counterpart to undermine Donald Trump John Hinderacker at Power Line, Gen. Milley: A Traitor, Or Not?

If this account is true, Milley’s conduct, while perhaps not rising to the constitutional level of treason, is about the worst of which any military man could be accused. It would certainly require termination, and there likely is a provision of the federal code under which criminal charges could be brought.

The Lieutenant Col. who broke chain-of-command and usurped his authority is complaining about the Joint Chief’s Chairman breaking chain-of-command and usurping his authority.  . . . Yeah, you really can’t make this up folks.

Althouse read Trump, ""If the story of 'Dumbass' General Mark Milley... is true, then I assume he would be tried for TREASON..."

"... in that he would have been dealing with his Chinese counterpart behind the President’s back and telling China that he would be giving them notification 'of an attack.'... The good news is that the story is Fake News.... Remember, I was the one who took out 100% of the ISIS Caliphate. Milley said it couldn’t be done! For the record, I never even thought of attacking China—and China knows that...."

Also, "Milley, for his part, took what the authors describe as a deferential approach to Biden on Afghanistan, in contrast to his earlier efforts to constrain Trump." and "So intent was Pence on being Trump’s loyal second-in-command — and potential successor — that he asked confidants if there were ways he could accede to Trump’s demands and avoid certifying..."

XiNN, Democrats cut deal with Manchin to get party behind long-shot voting overhaul bill, Rick Moran at PJ Media, Democrats Continue Their Dog and Pony Show on Voting Rights

A group of Democratic senators led by Joe Manchin has hashed out a “compromise” voting rights bill that moderates hope will attract at least some GOP support.

While the new version of the “For the People Act” has dropped several of the more objectionable elements, it has kept many more, including the ability of Congress to override several state laws dealing with ballot integrity. This is a non-starter for all Republicans in the Senate.

Manchin had urged the inclusion of a national voter ID standard that was eliminated when the final draft of the bill was completed. In short, this “compromise” legislation does nothing for voting integrity and swells federal power to interfere in local election processes and procedures.

What kind of a person stands on the very spot where heroic, valiant Americans perished in a tragic last-ditch effort to save a symbol of their ruling class—either the Capitol or the White House, no one knows for certain—and dares to offer criticism of the American people? What kind of cretin could possibly stir himself to lecture the public while standing on the very spot where common, average, everyday people sacrificed themselves to save members of the elite?

WaPoo, Senators condemn protest at Kavanaugh’s home after Texas abortion law allowed to take effect

Senators from both political parties on Tuesday criticized an abortion rights demonstration outside the home of Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh a night prior.

A group of about 50 people gathered at his residence in the D.C. suburbs to protest the Supreme Court’s recent decision not to block a Texas law banning abortions as early as six weeks into pregnancy and called for Kavanaugh’s resignation.

Speaking at the start of a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) called the protests “another blatant attempt to intimidate the judiciary” and anyone who “disagrees with the radical agenda.”

He was joined in his denunciation by Democratic senators Richard J. Durbin (Ill.) and Patrick Leahy (Vt.), who said those unhappy with the court’s action should express themselves at the ballot box or outside the courthouse.

The should shoot those protesters  if they trespass, just like Ashli Babbit.
