Election 2020: Maricopa Report Due Today

Matt Margolis at PJ Media, Maricopa County 2020 Election Audit Will Be Presented to Arizona Senate Friday. And today is Friday! Kaelen Deese at WaEx, Arizona Senate previews Maricopa audit report presentation. JTN has Ten questions the Arizona election audit could answer Friday "From ballot papers and serial numbers to poll books, a forensic audit has examined almost every imaginable aspect of voting in Arizona's largest county." Left wing outfits are already splashing leaks that imply they found nothing wrong. Capt. Ed at Haut Hair, WaPo: Arizona ballot review will show Biden won -- by a larger margin. CNN, Draft report from partisan Arizona review confirms Biden defeated Trump in Maricopa County last November. Drudge, REPUBLICANS: BIDEN WON AZ BY MORE. Not that I don't trust CNN or WaPoo, but let's hear the whole presentation before we jump to the conclusion. My guess is that the ballots exist to support Biden's win, but can't be  accounted for by legitimate voters.

Meanwhile, Texas secretary of state announces 2020 election audits in four counties (WaEx), and from Breitbart, PA GOP State Senate Forensic Investigation of 2020 Election Faces Partisan Democrat Attacks, GOP Infighting. From the Wombat's In The Mailbox: 09.23.21, The Geller Report assures us “Ballot Trafficking Will Soon Be Exposed On A Major Scale” In AZ, GA, MI, PA, & WI. But Anxious announces that the Fat Lady has not yet sung, The Stacey Abrams tourAt Da Hill, Heller won't say if Biden won election. Why aren't they asking Republicans if they think Biden won has become a thing. Try asking Democrats if they think Trump (and before him, GWB) won?

HE reports Biden’s Approval Rating Plummets to 43 Percent. It's hard to imagine why it's so high. Ace, Gallup: Biden Hits a New Low in Approval, Even Lower Than... Kumala's "President Diapers drops a load. WaFree Bee, POLL: Majority of Americans Say Biden Has Proven Himself ‘Too Old To Be President’, "A similar majority said Mike Pence was a better vice president than Kamala Harris." Damon Linker at Da Week admits, Democrats scare off the median voter. Matt Margolis again, Trump Still Rising.  Paul Bedard at WaEx, 2024: Trump over Biden by 10 points, Harris by 13. If we know one thing, it's not to trust polls three years ahead. Fox, Trump moving political HQ back to Mar-a-Lago, "Top Trump adviser tells Fox News the former president will 'ramp up his travel schedule.'" It looks like he's going for it.

But all is not well in the Republican ranks. From Mediaite, Mitch McConnell Dismisses Trump as a ‘Fading Brand’: ‘Sucking Up’ to Him ‘Not a Strategy That Works’. Actually it seems to, at least for primaries. Also, Trump Blasts Lindsey Graham and Mike Lee: ‘Should Be Ashamed’ For Ignoring ‘Crime of the Century’. Brad Slager at Red State says Never-Trump Politicians Are Quitting and One Leading Voice Claims This Spells Doom for the GOP. Some one is always calling for doom. Maybe they're spelling it wrong. In old news, also from  the Wombat's In The Mailbox: 09.23.21, The Geller Report reports Judge Orders Democrat Prosecutors To Release Jan 6th Videos, Now We Know Why Biden Admin HID THIS EVIDENCE From Americans, and at PM, Judge orders release of Capitol riot surveillance footage prosecutors wanted to keep under seal, and the original source at Buzzfeed, Prosecutors Lost A Fight To Keep A Set Of Jan. 6 Capitol Surveillance Videos Under Seal. Nice the them to break real news once in a while. Twitchy reports Tucker Carlson has questions the Dems’ 1/6 committee might not care to find answers for (based on newly released video). I'll bet he does. Atop Da Hill, Prosecutors face legal challenges over obstruction charge in Capitol riot cases

At least three judges in recent weeks have pressed prosecutors on whether the charge is appropriate in the context of the riot. If courts rule that the felony count cannot be applied to Jan. 6 defendants or that the law is unconstitutional, it would deal a blow to prosecutors’ efforts to crack down on those who overran the Capitol.

WaPoo smirks as House Jan. 6 committee issues subpoenas for Trump aides and advisers, including Meadows and Scavino. At CNN, Chris Cillizza claims Steve Bannon was knee-deep in January 6. But the, I almost always assume anything Cillizza writes is the opposite of the truth. Anders Hagstrom at Da Caller, Jan. 6 Committee Issues First Subpoenas To Four Trump Aides, Allies. Becker News? Jan. 6 Committee Issues First Subpoenas for Trump’s Inner Circle. Sundance at CTH explains, January 6th Committee Sends Fishing Subpoenas to Trump Administration Officials Looking for Information to Create 2022 Democrat Campaign Narrative. I'm sure Democrats will enjoy their turn in the barrel after 2022.

Wapoo reports Biden White House leans toward releasing information about Trump and Jan. 6 attack, setting off legal and political showdown. Capt. Ed at Haut Hair is on it, WaPo: Biden about to deny Trump's executive-privilege claims on 1/6 commission requests

I wrote about the conundrum for Biden last week. Legally, only the current president can exercise executive privilege, but it has long been customary for incumbents to do so on request from their predecessors. For one thing, the premise of executive privilege is the same regardless of current status — it protects frank and honest conversations among advisers and presidents. Undo that, and suddenly presidents will get much less of that and lot more a**-covering, or at least that’s the theory. For people who work in administrations and have longer-term political ambitions, the idea that their confidential input might get exposed by their political opponents might keep them from taking such jobs in the first place.

This move would have no end of ironies. Biden is perhaps the most establishment president ever, having marinated in Washington DC for nearly half a century before winning office last year. Executive privilege is designed to create strategic opacity over a limited set of functions, although the administration Biden previously served attempted to expand it significantly to Cabinet members in the Operation Fast & Furious scandal. It’s one of the key features of “the swamp,” if one is inclined to fulminate over such things.

As I said above, I'm sure Democrats will enjoy their turn in the barrel after 2022.

In the real insurrection, Antifa Activist Sues Portland Police for Livestreaming and Showing Faces of Rioters, (Oregon, my Oregon), John Sexton at Haut Hair rhetorically wonders Why isn't the media more upset about Antifa's attacks on journalists? Get back to them after a left-winger is attacked. Meanwhile, Da Wire reports FBI Director Wray: Domestic Terrorism Tracking Has ‘Exploded,’ FBI Has ‘Prioritized’ Threat From ‘White Supremacy’. Desperately seeking white supremacy because it's so rare. Julie Kelly continues her yeoman's work at Am Great An American Horror Story "Thomas Caldwell’s is just one of several stories of American patriots living the nightmare of being American political prisoners. " Arrested and jailed on suspicion of being an Oath Keeper

Caldwell never entered the Capitol building, has no criminal record, and honorably served the country for 20 years in the military, but Judge Hoppe agreed with the government to keep him behind bars. “The conduct and the statements of Mr. Caldwell . . . it really just is pure lawlessness and contempt for laws of this country,” Hoppe said, referring to some of Caldwell’s Facebook posts and texts. . . .

Caldwell communicated with some Oath Keepers prior to January 6, discussing travel plans and hotel arrangements. Twenty Oath Keepers have been charged with various crimes; none face an assault or weapons offense. Three have been in jail since last winter under pre-trial detention orders. (Judge Amit Mehta refuses to release the three detainees and just moved their trial date from January 2022 to April 2022.)
