Beach Report 9/21/21

Skye and I drove to the beach today, since Georgia had baby sitting duty. The first thing I noticed, before we even reached the water, was several Osprey hunting near the jetty.  I saw one pick up a fish and then almost immediately . . .
This Bald Eagle came out of nowhere and chased him out to sea, where the Osprey dropped the fish, and had to go back to work. I think it must have been a young Osprey, it didn't even try to dispute the robbery.
A lovely autumnal day here, partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s, a rising breeze from the ESE.

Not as good a day for fossils as yesterday, only 15 shark's teeth, with one reasonable Hastalis.
But a couple of old ladies spent a long time asking questions about sharks teeth, and petting Skye, so she was content.
