Beach Report 9/19/21

A lovely fallish day; cloudless, with temperatures in the mid 70's with a stiff northeast wind kicking up the surf
A close fly by from a juvenile Bald Eagle, too young to have a white head and yellow beak. I only saw one Osprey today (sorry, no picture). Was it a local youngster who hasn't left yet, or a migrant on the way south? I don't know.
Because of the high tide and choppy surf, fossil hunting was tough; seven sharks teeth, a drum tooth, a broken stingray barb (most are), and a little stingray "diamond."
Oh, and Georgia found this well worn chunk of whale vertebra.
