Since the local favorite, the Redskins failed (by a mile) to make the cut, I must shift my limited allegiances to the second nearest team, the Baltimore Ravens, playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers right now.
While this presents no particular problem for me, my #2 son, Alex, has conflicts. He went to school in Baltimore, and moved to the Pittsburgh area and married into a family of ardent Steeler fans.
Just as a point of interest, the Steelers remain one of the few NFL teams without a cheer leading squad.
But, have no fear, they do, however, have a number of devoted female fans willing to wear their colors
UPDATE: Ravens win, to take on Patriots in New England next week.
Wombat-socho got around to Rule 5 Sunday on Monday this week with "Rule 5 Monday: Midnight Snack."
