Rule 5 Saturday - January's Tweet of the Month - January Jones

Apparently some journolist asked January Jones a few too many times if she was a strong feminist. Ms. Jones, a star in "Mad Men" the supposedly "sexist" cable show apparently got tired of being badgered and responded:

I take this as an invitation to STFU and worry about other things than her apparent support for the PATRIARCHY by playing a part in a cable morality play about a decade she doesn't remember and doesn't really care about.

Good for her.

January Kristen Jones (born January 5, 1978) is an American actress and model. She is best known for playing Betty Draper in the television series Mad Men since 2007, as well as for roles as Cadence in American Wedding (2003), Elizabeth Harris in Unknown (2011), and Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class (2011).

Jones was born in Hecla, South Dakota, the daughter of Karen, who manages a sporting goods store, and Marvin Jones, a coach, gym teacher, and fitness director. She is named after January Wayne, a character in Jacqueline Susann's Once Is Not Enough.
Which pretty much exhausts my interest in her life, although if that tweet is typical, might require I show a little more interest.

A little NSFWish material here, and here.

This week, in the 174th issue of his Blogging Magazine, GOODSTUFF is featuring the colorful Zoe Saldana. Linked at The Pirate's Cove in the weekly "Sorta Blogless Sunday Pinup" and at American Power in "Rule 5 Sunday." Wombat-socho has the master "Rule 5 Sunday: Shake It Off" post up at The Other McCain.

She is not the first January Jones in show business, as pointed out by one of the commenters in the Althouse post:
