Sara Dogan at Front Page calls the U. Maryland Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies  A Case Study in ‘Jew Hatred’

The Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) at the University of Maryland has repeatedly promoted Jew hatred and demonstrated its disdain for academic neutrality by using official university channels to demonize Israel, condone Hamas terrorism, and delegitimize the world’s only Jewish state.

On October 13, just six days after Hamas’s barbaric attack that killed over 1200 innocent Israeli civilians in the most brutal ways imaginable, WGSS posted a statement on the official department website concerning “violence in Gaza and Israel.” The statement was attributed to the National Women’s Studies Association and was reproduced in full on the Maryland WGSS departmental page as an obvious show of solidarity and agreement with its precepts.

Instead of condemning Hamas for its brutal and unprovoked attack on Israeli civilians or excoriating their use of rape as a weapon of war, the Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies Department attempted to whitewash the terrorist group’s action, urging that “The current escalation must be viewed in the context of decades of illegal Israeli military occupation and systemic violent campaigns.”

Using anti-Semitic language which demonized and delegitimized Israel, the world’s only Jewish state, the statement went on to condemn “the ongoing and persistent U.S. government’s support for Israel’s apartheid regime” and to characterize the Palestinians and Hamas as exemplars of “liberation and resistance movements led by other indigenous, colonized, and oppressed peoples everywhere.”

Lending a note of irony, the statement claimed that “As feminists, we recognize that violence and war often inflict gendered and sexualized harms on women and queer, trans and non-binary people.” It is clear from the context of the statement, that its authors believe such “sexualized harms” to stem from the actions of Israel, a laughable claim given that Hamas forces literally raped and mutilated women and children on video during the October 7th massacre and punish homosexuality in Gaza with death.

The statement also vowed its support for the genocidal and Hamas-directed Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel: “Today, we reaffirm our unwavering support for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) resolution, which NWSA passed in 2015.”

Not content to let this tribute to Jew hatred stand on its own, approximately a week later, WGSS posted a second statement on the official department website “in solidarity with the people of Gaza.” The statement was attributed to the executive committee of the American Studies Association.

Making absolutely no mention of Hamas’s unprovoked atrocities on innocent Jews at a music festival and elsewhere in Israel, the statement instead alludes only to “the escalation of violence in Palestine and Israel” as if Hamas—which controls Gaza—was not the sole instigator of the recent barbarity. It goes on to explain that the organization “continues to stand with the Palestinian people and their ongoing struggle for liberation” and to offer “support [to] those who speak out against the intensifying onslaught on Gaza, whose destruction has killed nearly four thousand Gazan residents and displaced hundreds of thousands more.” Instead of condemning Hamas’s brutal terrorism and violence to civilians, the statement urges the “need to situate today’s events in a historical, political and regional understanding.”

Rather than demanding that Hamas immediately cease its genocidal war on Israel and the Jews—an objective stated plainly in the Hamas charter—the statement instead called for “an immediate ceasefire and release of humanitarian aid to Gaza” as well as for “the US to end support of Israeli apartheid and work toward negotiations.”

For several weeks, a WOMEN’S advocacy group – the American chapter of Women’s Declaration International – has been planning an event at the Hollywood branch of the Multnomah County library.

WDI could be characterized as pretty left-leaning and woke themselves. But it’s their founding “Declaration” that is problematic for the uber virtue-signalers and grievance merchants of what increasingly appears to be the mainstream Progressive movement. Let me share a couple of the stickier points from their declaration:

1. Women’s Rights Are Based On Their Sex 

Sex is the physical and biological characteristics that distinguish males from females. Women and girls’ rights should be based on sex, not “gender identity”.

2. Motherhood Is An Exclusively Female Status

Maternal rights and services are based on women’s unique, sex-based capacity to gestate and give birth to children. These rights and services, and the word “mother” itself should stay reserved for persons of the female sex.

 4. Freedom Of Opinion And Expression

Women have the right to hold opinions without interference. This should include the right to hold and express opinions about ‘gender identity’ without being subject to harassment, prosecution or punishment.

5. Peaceful Assembly And Association

Women have a right to peaceful assembly and a freedom of association. This should include the right to assemble and associate based on their sex. Lesbians should have a right to assemble and associate on the basis of their sexual orientation. Women’s assemblies and associations should not have to include men who claim to have female ‘gender identities’.

 7. Participation In Sports And Physical Education

Women and girls are objectively physically different from men and boys in ways other than reproductive capacity. For women and girls to have equitable opportunities in sports, certain sports activities must remain single-sex.

 9. Protection Of The Rights Of The Child

Children should receive accurate information about human biology and reproduction, and not gender stereotyping through their education. Children should not be subjected to the use of drugs and surgery for ‘gender reassignment.’

You can see where the radicals in the alphabet soup sex cult have a hard time with this group. They repudiate everything the LGBQT agenda is actively agitating for, from NO MALE will EVER be a woman, EVER birth a child, should EVER be on a girl’s sport’s team, and keep your damn hands off our kids. Unambiguous and to the gender cult, unacceptable. They must be crushed.

 

When trans activists and their shock troops in Portland got word that this little group of women was going to do a small event at the library, they immediately started organizing, and it wasn’t a counter -protest. It was threatened violence from the very beginning. There is no middle ground.

If you thought erecting a George Floyd statue and taking down a Thomas Jefferson statue was the end of the craziness, you need to hear about the battle taking place in Palm Springs, California where the maniacs are going after a 26-foot statue of the movie star.

In February, California’s 4th District Court of Appeals overturned a motion to dismiss a lawsuit brought before the court by the Committee to Relocate Marilyn, which is fighting for the removal of the “Forever Marilyn” that stands in front of the Palm Springs Art Museum. The 26-foot, 34,000-pound Marilyn Monroe statue that’s been a controversy in Palm Springs for years.

At a 2021 protest, the Women’s March Foundation chanted that the 34,000-pound statue was misogynistic and exploitative. The Committee to Relocate Marilyn claims it’s mad at the placement of Marilyn because it blocks a museum road.

Meanwhile, in 2020, the art museum’s executive director at the time, Louis Grachos, was definitely triggered over Marilyn’s underwear.

“What message does that send to our young people, our visitors and community to present a statue that objectifies women, is sexually charged and disrespectful?” Grachos asked.

Death by “social justice” on the Fourth of July:

A woman hit by a car while she and others were blocking a highway in Seattle died, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Harborview Medical Center told news outlets that Summer Taylor, a 24-year-old local, died late Saturday. The Washington State Patrol confirmed the death.
Taylor was one of two women hit by a man driving a white Jaguar around 1:36 a.m. on July 4.
Police had closed down a portion of the highway, I-5, just before midnight on Friday. Seattle police said in a report that the driver, 27-year-old Dawit Kelete, entered on an exit ramp before turning onto the highway to go in the correct direction.
The driver was approaching vehicles that were parked across the highway by protesters to block it when he “made a sharp left turn entering the right lane and struck two pedestrians,” police wrote.
Video footage showed the impact flinging the two women into the air. Photographs of the Jaguar showed damage consistent with a crash, Washington State Patrol Capt. Ron Mead told reporters at a press conference near the scene of the incident.

The other protester hit was identified as Diaz Love, 32. She remains hospitalized in serious condition. Love was filming the protest in a video broadcast on Facebook Live that showed a group of a few dozen milling about on the highway. Just before the video ended, people began shouting “car.” The impact of the car striking the women can be heard as the broadcast ends.
Both she and and Taylor suffered broken bones and lacerations from the impact, according to the police report.
Kelete was taken into custody after passing sobriety tests. He was described as reserved and sullen. At one point, he asked if the two people that were hit were okay.
Kelete was booked on vehicular assault charges, according to jail records. Bail was denied. It wasn’t clear if the man had an attorney.
Protesters blocked I-5 for 18 straight days leading up to July 4, law enforcement officials said. Mead told the reporters that blocking the highway is illegal and a criminal act.
“We’ve said since May 30th, the freeway is not a safe place for pedestrians to be. Whether they’re protesters, whether they’re homeless, whether they’re broken down motorists, the freeway is simply not a safe place for pedestrians,” he said.
The state patrol said later Saturday that officers would arrest any protesters who tried to enter I-5.
According to Love’s social media accounts, she participated in other protests blocking the freeway in recent days. The Black Lives Matter supporter was recently at the so-called autonomous zone that protesters created in Seattle.

The video is just horrific.

The dead woman was a militant #BlackLivesMatter supporter and also identified as “non-binary.” The driver of the car was a black man, apparently an immigrant from Ethiopia.

So . . . white women blocking a freeway to protest on behalf of #BlackLivesMatter were hit by a black man driving a white Jaguar.

I confess, I had never heard of her before. It's kind of sad when someone's death is more memorable than their life.

Just last week, Amie Harwick offered this advice on Instagram:

And maybe some of Harwick’s fans thought she was referencing her relationship with The Price Is Right host Drew Carey, to whom she was engaged for about a year before they split in 2018. On the other hand, most of Harwick’s fans didn’t know that she was being stalked by an ex-boyfriend she broke up with about 10 years ago. Gareth Pursehouse is a computer programmer and photographer who dated Harwick when she was in her 20s and, evidently, had trouble “accepting that you may not have the ideal closure.” Big trouble:

The Los Angeles Medical Examiner revealed the cause of death of Amie Harwick, a family therapist and the ex-fiancee of comic and “The Price Is Right” host Drew Carey.
Harwick, 38, died of blunt force injuries to her head and torso, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. Police said they were responding to reports of a “woman screaming” on Saturday when her roommate said Harwick was being “assaulted inside of her residence.” When officers found Harwick at her home, below a third-story balcony, she was “unresponsive” and they determined her injuries were “consistent with a fall.”
The Los Angeles Fire Department then transported her to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
Police also found “possible evidence of a struggle” and “forced entry to the residence.”
The suspect, 41-year-old Gareth Pursehouse, was arrested outside his home in Playa del Rey and booked on murder charges, the release explained. . . .

I guess she didn't know as much about men as she thought she did. She chose poorly.

Victoria’s Secret fashion show officially canned after outrage

L Brands, which owns the storied lingerie company, announced the decision Thursday, saying it’ll be moving on in order to “evolve the messaging of [the company],” reports Fortune.

“We will be communicating to customers, but nothing similar in magnitude to the fashion show,” CFO Stuart Burgdoerfer said on an earnings call with analysts.

As The Post reported earlier this week, insiders have long predicted the demise of the show, particularly after catwalk staple Shanina Shaik leaked the news to the Daily Telegraph in July.

“Unfortunately the Victoria’s Secret show won’t be happening this year,” she said. “It’s something I’m not used to because every year around this time I’m training like an Angel.”

However, the company itself hadn’t confirmed Shaik’s comments until today. It comes after years of frustrations over what some call an outdated beauty standard — including former Angel Karlie Kloss, who quit the gig in the name of feminism.

The show, which has taken place annually around this time of year since 1995, used to be widely regarded for its cast of slender supermodels. Insiders told The Post that modeling in the show was once “the ultimate achievement.”

Well, at least that frees up an hour or two of last minute shopping time for countless guys.

Last year, Ed Razek, VS’s former chief marketing officer, made offensive comments to Vogue.com, saying that there was “no room” for plus-size models on their runway and that he would not cast transgender models.

And this summer, it was discovered that Leslie Wexner, CEO of L Brands, was a close friend of disgraced pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein used Wexner’s link to Victoria’s Secret to recruit young women by promising them modeling jobs with the brand.

Well, that'll show Epstein! Who, by the way, didn't kill himself.

Ultimately, with the brand’s revenue declining quarter by quarter and changing societal ideas of what’s sexy, Victoria’s Secret has been in trouble for quite some time.

Burgdoerfer also chalked their decision up to finances. “Did we see specific material impact in terms of a short-term sales response to the airing of the fashion show? As a general matter, the answer to that question is no.”

The outfits always looked silly, but who am I to complain?

I guess he was below the socially acceptable status to ask for a date with a celebrity.  She was on Kimmel last night saying how she was begging to go to Vegas with Magic Johnson.

She did not specify his race, which means... well, given how much Brie Larson likes to rag on "white dudes," let's just say I think she would have specified his race if he were white.

She went on to suggest that the (minority) male's aggression in just asking for her phone number was akin to rape -- she actually trotted out the "just asking for it" line.

Are men a threat to Brie Larson? I'd say so. Because Evil White Men are trolling her movie on Twitter, making claims like "I didn't like all the hardcore antisemitic propaganda in the film" and "I didn't really understand why Captain Marvel burned the gay flag at the end of the movie."
Men, you see, are a problem, and if they are permitted to sully theaters showing Captain Marvel, female spectators -- the only ones who count, according to Brie -- will have their safe space violated by unwanted penis-based behaviors.

Which is why I am stepping up to be a True Male Feminist ally to lead a new movement to stop men's shitty behaviors and sexual-assault-like invasions of sacred female spaces.

I am calling for all men to avoid seeing Captain Marvel, at least for the first four weeks of its theatrical distribution, to permit the legions of the "Carol Corps" fans to see the film in a positive, Sacred Feminine, female-only space.

My bold.

I am calling for all men to observe, recognize, follow and celebrate the initiative #HeFree4Brie -- a full four weeks of only women, or female-identifying (no transphobia here!) persons attending Captain Marvel.

True male feminist allies can best show their allyship by keeping their unwanted, rapish presences away from Sacred Feminine spirit circles.

Now, there will be some who object, and say-- but that would mean that Captain Marvel would make less money at the box office!

Really, cutting out half their audience would hurt the bottom line? Whoda thunk!

Don't be absurd; it means that Brie's movie will make more money. Bear in mind, the #HeFree4Brie campaign only asks men to keep their disgusting patriarchy away from theaters for four (4) weeks.

That means in four weeks time, Captain Marvel will have one of the biggest "holds" in Hollywood's history as men come flooding into theaters they've been waiting all their lives to see since they first heard of Captain Marvel eight months ago -- it will be the only major movie of the modern age to suddenly increase ticket sales nearly a month into its run.

It will make history -- or should I say, HERstory?

Furthermore, this means that Disney and Brie Larson will make more money. It is a fact of theatrical exhibitions that the theaters usually take a huge percent of the box office in the first few weeks of a film's release -- I've heard numbers has high as 90%, but I think Disney, with its outsized market power in the industry, gets a better cut of first weekend box office. Nevertheless, their take of the first couple of weeks' box office is low compared to the theaters' take, but rises after the first few weekends.

So that means that men who avoid seeing Captain Marvel for four (4) weeks will actually put more profit into the pockets of Disney (and Brie Larson, who probably has some kind of gross-points deal in the picture), unlike their sexist, sexually-beastly fellow men who insist on rushing into the theaters and displacing potential female ticket-buyers and reducing their enjoyment of the film with their Male Taint.

It's a win all the way around -- women get to see Captain Marvel in the "virtual safe space" that Marvel #2 (or Number #1) Sana Ahmnat spoke so favorably of, and Disney makes even moremoney on a repetitive, formulaic movie about a little-known and less-liked character than they otherwise would.

Men Need Feminists Like a Robot Needs Vegetables

Hey, remember when Gloria Steinem said "a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle"? It turns out that with women becoming unwanted due to the increasing sophistication of sex robots that feminists are starting to see the future less brightly: Swedish Feminists Demand State Ban on 'Dangerous' Sex Robots

Three Swedish feminist organisations, Sweden's Women's Lobby, the National Organisation for Women's Shelters and Young Women's Shelters (Roks) as well as the empowerment organisation Unizon have published a joint appeal in the newspaper Expressen, in which they demand a state ban on "dangerous" sex robots for men.

The debaters noted that today's sex robots often have the "appearances and attributes typical of the objectifying, sexualised and degrading attitude to women found in today's mainstream pornography".

"Why are men willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars for a robot that obeys their smallest command?" the feminists asked rhetorically. "A female robot cannot say no to something that the man wants, if she is not programmed to do so", the feminists complained.

The leaders of the women's organisations claimed that fantasies stimulated by such technology may lead to real violence against girls and women. They also drew parallels with pornography, whose consumption, they claimed, leads to sexist attitudes and actual violence. The dehumanisation of women justifies slavery, and the exploitation of the female body through new technology is part of this, they claimed.

Sex is easy, but can they make sandwiches yet?

The three organisations demanded that an inquiry be made to produce proposals on "how technology and activities that normalise abuse can be restricted and prohibited".

The feminists also want Swedish authorities to make it difficult for "brothels with sex robots and dolls" to open in Sweden. Unlike neighbouring Denmark and Finland, Sweden has yet to open an automated brothel with no human prostitutes. The organisations drew comparisons between sex robots and prostitution.

"Sweden has for 20 years had a regulatory framework that punishes sex buyers and which has reduced the demand for prostitution. <…> Now, Sweden must take the next step and dare to address the ongoing technological developments that are driven by the sex industry at the expense of real women and girls", they concluded.

Lastly, they demanded that such dolls and robots be included in sexual education curricula and addressed from a perspective that portrays the relationship between sexuality and power as problematic.

Now, I'm not advocating sex bots, but they have to be more satisfying than feminists.

Wow, a PhD in Romantic Comedies! I'm impressed. It must be hard to stay obsessed (and PhDs require an obsession, if not much else) on something so trivial.

In March 2018, Dr. Angyal boasted of her success in reducing the number of white males writing for Huffington Post:

The Huffington Post deputy opinion editor shared her publication’s policy for promoting minority writers, yet creating a quota-like system based on race or gender could violate U.S. discrimination laws.
In a series of tweets [March 14], HuffPost editor Chloe Angyal discussed the racial makeup of the news website’s opinion columnists for the month.

“Month two of @HuffPost Opinion is almost done. This month we published: 63% women, inc. trans women; 53% writers of colour.”

One tweet seems to disclose a kind of quota system at the opinion section, with Angyal discussing her “goals” for the racial and gender composition of contributors.

“Our goals for this month were: less than 50% white authors (check!), Asian representation that matches or exceeds the US population (check!), more trans and non-binary authors (check, but I want to do better).” . . .

As Angyal admits, she tracks the race and gender identity of contributors at the beginning of each week so she “doesn’t lose track” of meeting the diversity goals.

“I check our numbers at the end of every week, because it’s easy to lose track or imagine you’re doing better than you really are, and the numbers don’t lie.”

As the Daily Caller’s Joe Simonson noted at the time, this kind of “diversity” policy — a focus on “numbers” as “goals,” which could be interpreted as systematic discrimination — actually violates Title VII of the federal Civil Rights Act, as well as the state law in New York, which is where Huffington Post is officially headquartered.

Of course, Dr. Angyal’s “diversity” policy, while achieving its goal of eliminating opportunities for white male writers, did nothing to increase the diversity of ideas at HuffPo — quite the opposite. During her tenure, Huffington Post became even more of a monolith of left-wing opinion than it had previously been. Did she have “goals” for, say, pro-life Christians? Or libertarian writers? Did she check the “numbers” to ensure an adequate “representation” of pro-Trump opinions? Don’t be absurd! No libertarians or Trump supporters were ever published under Dr. Angyal’s tenure, and the opinion columns at Huffington Post remained fanatically pro-abortion, anti-Christian and, frankly, anti-American.

Oh, did I forget to mention that Chloe Angyal is a foreigner?

She’s from Sydney, Australia, and in 2014 got a Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales with a dissertation entitled “Gender, Sex, and Power in the Postfeminist Romantic Comedy.” So here we have an immigrant intellectual obsessed with “Gender, Sex, and Power” who has, by her own admission, enforced discriminatory policies that violate U.S. civil rights laws and, while I’m not saying President Trump should send ICE agents to arrest Chloe Angyal and ship her back to Australia, I’m not surprised that she’s unemployed. And I’m pretty sure foreigners don’t qualify for unemployment checks, food stamps, or other benefits. . . .

I would tell her to go home, but I like the Australians too much. Maybe she should take a few years to visit Venezuela and see how well socialism is working out. She might even be able to get a romantic comedy out of the experience.
