"What right do they have to pick and choose what part of government’s going to be funded?" - Harry Reid - 10/1/13
As
Smitty at The Other McCain points out:
All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills. - United States Constitution, Article 1, Section 7, clause 1.
and then goes on to editorialize:
And then Reid goes on to obsess about the obsession with ObamaCare. Here, the House reflects the hatred of the Unaffordable Careless Act with all due disrespect for its idiotic origins, foul drafting, brass-knuckle passage, moronic jurisprudence, banana republic exceptions, irresponsible roll-out, and predictable economic doom to follow.
Screw you, Reid, and the casinos that kept your undead cadaver cluttering our Senate.
Harsh, but well warranted.
