"The Plan"

From a post at Watts Up With That, this newspaper clipping.  It looks like a pretty standard recipe for how we  are supposed be preparing for our future society for the threat of global warming climate change:

But I've pulled a "Breitbart"1 and cropped the clipping slightly. The original:

In somewhat more context now, we can see this refers to the threat of global cooling from the possible ice-age that was the climate scare fad of the 1970's. The post at WAWT has an exceptional compilation of the 1970's cooling hysteria, including this video clip narrated by none other than that paragon of reason, Mr. Spock:

So, heating or cooling, the prescription is the same, "rigid" government control of human activities, outlawing private motor vehicles, population controls (not that we need that now, we're barely at break even levels of reproduction here in the US, and below in most of Europe), restrictions in research (you might find a result that disagrees with the consensus), and even the end of democracy, the government presumably to be replaced by Bloombergian do-gooder dictators advised by cocooned, but well meaning scientists academic researchers giving them advice they are paid to produce and provide.

1I know, I know, Breitbart didn't really do this in the Shirley Sherrod clip, but I had to do something to memorialize him on the one year anniversary of his death, and since this kerfuffle may be his best known media event, it seemed appropriate.  Besides, calling it a "CBS" doesn't help distinguish it from all their other media malpractices.
