Before we got to the beach, Skye and I found this Pileated Woodpecker hanging around close to the road in the woods. A hard picture to take and process, because the leaves screened most to light to green.
After yesterday's heat and humidity, today was quite a change, with temperature down to mid to high 70s, much lower humidity, and a stiff northern breeze. It made for lousy shark's tooth hunting, but Skye appreciated it.
Long Beach and Calvert Beach were lightly used, but Matoaka was crowded with visitors. I still think this is a rebound from the WuFlu shutdown.
