Pittsburgh Pictures

Georgia, Alex, Kelly and I ditched the dogs after lunch and rode the "T" (for trolley), from near their house in South Park, to Pittsburgh for a little sight seeing and dinner.  After arriving at Station Square, we rode the Monongahela Incline up to the top of Mount Washington (formerly Coal Hill) to view the city.
From the overlook on Grandview Avenue at the top of Coal Hill.  The Monongahela (foreground) and the Allegheny River (background) meet to form the Ohio River, (to the left).  The former site of Three Rivers Stadium, and a lousy TV show.

Panning right.  The Mon River (as it is more familiarly called locally) and downtown Pittsburgh towering over it.

Looking upriver on the Mon, still from Mt. Washington.  Then we went and had some iced coffee, and went back down the Incline.

A "Clinton Furnace" on display down in Station Square, on the Mon waterfront, with a bunch of shops and restaurants.  A little like Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, without the fish...

A statues in the garden of one of the restaurants in Station Square.

Another statue guarding a different restaurant.

After drinks and dinner, we caught the "T" back.
