Monday, the Show Trial Continues

Oh Monday Monday, can't trust that day. Too much stuff! Since the J6 Committee will start it's nonsense again today, let's try to wash the blood off the deck. Derek Hunter at Town Hall asks That Was The Best Hearing Democrats Had To Offer? as Rick Moran at PJ Media points out 'Young Sheldon' Rerun Crushes J6 Hearing in TV Ratings. At Am Great Roger Kimball calls it The ‘Get Trump’ Show. Tristan Justice at Da Fed, The J6 Inquisition Is An Obvious Soviet-Style Show Trial, with a producer. Shmuel Klatzkin at Am Spec say The Show Trial Is Back, The pursuit of truth this is not. Insty touts an INTERESTING BOOK: January 6: How Democrats Used the Capitol Protest to Launch a War on Terror Against the Political Right. At Da Wire, Tulsi Gabbard Slams Jan. 6 Hearings: ‘This Is Not America’ if you're looking for an honest Democrat. Tuckah! at Fox, Tucker Carlson: Jan. 6 hearing coverage is complicity in campaign to fool the public. 'Bonchie' at Red State, Here's How You Know the January 6th Committee Has Nothing. "This committee is a farce. Listen closely and you won’t hear anything at all. It’s a waste of time, rehashing what we already know in dramatic fashion in the vain hope that people will forget they are paying $5 a gallon for gas and $12 for a pack of bacon. It’s not going to work."

Dan Chaitin at WaEx records Jim Jordan blasting Jan. 6 committee: Investigators 'altered evidence and lied'. Matt Margolis at PJ, Jan. 6 Committee Called Out for Altering Evidence and Lying About It. Joe Lord at ET documents 4 Edited Tweets, Videos Shown by Jan. 6 Panel During Primetime HearingFalsus in uno, falsus in omnibus. And, Rep. Perry Says Rep. Cheney Lied About Claim He Sought Presidential Pardon. At the Business Insider, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweets at Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, and Marjorie Taylor Greene wanting to know if they asked for pardons after January 6

Bushie Never-Trumper Michael Gerson opines at WaPoo, History will accept only one Jan. 6 narrative. This committee has it. Althouse isn't buying it in "She is our indomitable, irreplaceable, unsinkable Liz."

I'm reading that only because the headline bothered me so much that I felt that I needed to know how any educated, intelligent person could say such a thing. What a static, impoverished view of history! He seems to have it mixed up with propaganda — specifically, the propaganda of a totalitarian state.

At Breitbart, Liz Cheney Uses January 6 Committee for Political Retaliation, Subpoenas Primary Opponent’s Campaign Adviser. Nick Arama at Red State, 'Surprise Witness' Called by J6 Committee Reveals Big Conflict for Liz Cheney. Twitchy twitches New ‘surprise’ January 6 witness means Liz Cheney will be interrogating her opponent’s campaign manager on TV. Sounds legit! Just a coinkydink., I'm sure.

Sophie Mann at JTN, GOP House Whip Scalise asks who is paying former ABC News chief to produce Jan. 6 hearings, ""It's against the law to use taxpayer funds to produce a documentary trying to promote their political agenda or go after their political opponents," Scalise says.. . . and if he did it for free, that's an in-kind contribution, which is also illegal."  I'm sure Merrick Garland will get right on that. Dan Greenfield at Front Page thinks Congress Must Hold Hearings on Biden Administration’s Domestic Terror Ties, "Forget Jan 6. Where’s the investigation into Democrat domestic terrorism?"

Via YaHoo! the Peacock whines, Donald Trump isn't sticking to the GOP's Jan. 6 hearing talking points. Well, his interests and theirs may not coincide. At Am Think, JB Shurk thinks The J6 Committee's Real Target Is You. Sundance at CTH, Washington Commanders Dissident Football Coach Fined $100k for Wrong Thoughts, calling J6 a "dust-up." It is a company town after all. Amusingly, Variety whines about Trump’s Truth Social Is Banning Users Who Post About Jan. 6 Hearings, According to Reports. At NR (cited at Haut Hair), Never-Trumper Kevin Williamson say The January 6 hearings are a story without a hero, while at WaPoo, Karen Tumulty opines The sedition didn’t stop on Jan. 6. It must be stopped. NYT, cited at Haut Hair is Haut that Pence aide warned against blocking electoral count, memo shows.

At the Peacock, Does the Justice Department want to charge Trump? Here's what could happen. "A person familiar with the matter told NBC News there have been conversations inside DOJ about the implications of pursuing a case against the ex-president, should it come to that." At PM, Bannon dares Merrick Garland to indict Trump, "On his show The War Room Bannon said, "I dare Merrick Garland to take that crap last night and try to indict Donald Trump!""

As for today's agenda? WaPoo warns Next Jan. 6 hearings to focus on how Trump’s ‘big lie’ fueled rioters. "Big Lie" is WaPoo speak for a sincere belief that something funny happened during the election. Only Democrats are allowed to question election results.

Da Signal decries The Eerie Silence Around Kavanaugh Assassination Attempt. Hey, it made it to page 20 at the NYT! Twitchy, Guess how the Sunday shows covered the attempted assassination of Justice KavanaughSteve Guest@SteveGuest, "How the Sunday shows covered the attempted assassination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh via TVEyes. # of mentions of "Kavanaugh": ABC's This Week: 0 mentions NBC's Meet The Press: 0 mentions CBS's Face The Nation: 0 mentions CNN SOTU: 0 mentions Fox News Sunday covered". 'Becca Downs at Town Hall, On Only Sunday Show to Cover Murder Plot Against Kavanaugh, Sen. Coons Fails Hard on 'Fox News Sunday'. At Da Wire, Dem Senator Dodges Question About Arresting Protesters Outside SCOTUS Justices’ Homes

AllahPundit at Haut Hair, Maher: The Times buried the Kavanaugh assassination story because he's a conservative "I’m sticking with my bet that Joe Rogan ends up fully red-pilled before Maher does. But I admit, clips like this make me wonder." Fox, Bill Maher buries NYT for burying Kavanaugh assassination attempt: 'They wear their bias on their sleeves'. At News Busters, Bill Maher Slams New York Times for Burying Attempted Murder of Kavanaugh. Natalia Mittelstadt at JTN says Many see Democrat double standard on political violence when it comes to Jan. 6, Kavanaugh threat.  I sure do.

At News Week, AOC Touts Blocking Supreme Court Security Bill After Kavanaugh Threat. At PM, Day after failed Kavanaugh assassination, protesters march by Amy Coney Barrett’s home. "A bipartisan measure to provide security to justices and their families had support in the Senate, but has stalled in the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives." WaPoo lamely opines Supreme Court justices should be able to feel safe at home, at least the liberals.

Jazz Shaw at Haut Hair, Pro-abortion protesters plan to "shut down" Supreme court ahead of ruling. So they're conspiring to riot? More on that later. BizPac Review, ‘Sounds insurrection-y’: Left-wing activists plan to ‘blockade streets around Supreme Court’ on Monday.  At Am Think Clarice Feldman calls The Democrats: 'A Criminal Organization'

So while the people openly planning a riot designed to shut down the Supreme Court are allowed to do so in peace, the police arrested a bunch of people from the Patriot Front in Idaho for allegedly conspiring to riot at an LQBTQRSTUVWXYX event. At WaPoo,  Men tied to hate group planned for riot, ‘confrontation’ at LGBTQ event, police say  'Streiff' at Red State, 31 Members of 'Patriot Front' AstroTurf White Nationalist Group Arrested in Coeur d'Alene for Conspiracy to Riot. Rick Moran at PJ, 31 Patriot Front Members Arrested Near Idaho Pride Event. It's an odd group. They look like Feds. I wonder how many were. There was certainly at least one insider.  They were even allowed to continue to wear masks as they were hauled away. Twitchy, The gig is up! Feds need a new look for covert operations of a suspicious nature. Will this prove to be another Fedsurrection like the Whitmer kidnapping?

Meanwhile, justice maybe delayed but not denied as John Sexton at Haut Hair reports a San Diego grand jury indicts 11 Antifa supporters with 29 felonies "So this was never declared a riot but it was headed in that direction. Last week a grand jury indicted 11 members of the Antifa group with 29 felonies related to that day’s events including conspiracy to riot. This is apparently the first time prosecutors have gone after an antifa group with conspiracy charges . . ." At the Guardian, Officials investigate fire that damaged an Oregon ‘pregnancy crisis center’ "The fire at the Gresham Pregnancy Resource Center comes days after a similar attack at another clinic in New York."  Anxious anxiously reports  ATF investigating "suspicious" fire at Oregon pregnancy center

The big picture: A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memo from last month said that law enforcement agencies are investigating social-media threats to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their clerks, as well as attacks targeting places of worship and abortion clinics, Axios' Sophia Cai and Stef W. Kight report.
  • Political acts of violence could be carried out by both anti-abortion and abortion-rights extremists, the memo stated.
  • The DHS publicly warned this week that the U.S. faces an increased threat of violence stemming in part from the court's ultimate decision.
