Beach Report 5/3/22

With mostly clear skies, temperatures in the low 60s and not too much wind, it was a pretty nice day for a beach walk.
We had gone out this morning to pick up new glasses, so this walk was really the acid test for how well they work. Even though they still feel kind of funny (my prescription has wandered a bit since I got new glasses 3 years ago), they must be OK, since we found 31 teeth, 4 ray plates, a drum tooth and a ray dermal scute.

The best tooth of the day was, as they often are, a Snaggletooth. This one has a pretty wear pattern I don't recall seeing before.
However, the most valuable find was this Rapala X-rap-12, with minimal corrosion, broken off with a bit of leader. A touch of a file on the points and it will be a good as new (and cheaper).
