Some Sunday Politics

For what it's been lately, a relatively light load. Naomi Lim at WaEx, Biden hemorrhaging Trump voters who supported him in 2020. So, people learn from their mistakes? From Da Caller, ‘Biden’s Mistake Is … ‘: Musk Boils Down The White House, In One TweetElon Musk@elonmusk, "Biden’s mistake is that he thinks he was elected to transform the country, but actually everyone just wanted less drama" 'Becca Downs at Town Hall has Poll Results that Show Democrats May Be Doomed in Midterms Over Pro-Abortion Obsession. Abortion divides the country. It only helps Democrats in places they already win. At Da Caller again, ‘Life Hasn’t Improved’: Hispanic GOP Candidate Says Democrats Have Made Things Worse For Latino Voters. Why should they be any different than the rest of us? At the Wa Free Bee, Democrats Name Latino Outreach Program After Communist Slogan Popularized by Fidel Castro; most of them, or their ancestors, come from countries ruined by socialists and communists. From PM, It took the Biden administration 6 MONTHS of research to come up with 'ultra MAGA', ""All of that extremism gets captured in that brand," claims a member of the research team who settled on that phrase." At Mediaite, Jen Psaki Says ‘Ultra-MAGA’ is ‘The President’s Phrase,’ But New Reporting Blames Six Months of Focus Groups For It. Like abortion, it pleases those already in the house, and pushes away those outside. And Trump wears it like a crown.

At WaT, Susan Ferrechio and Mica Soellner contend that the Baby formula crisis punctuates steep decline in support for Biden, Dems, with suburban moms. FEE explains How Government Created the Baby Formula Shortage—and a Black Market for 'Unapproved' European Imports. Blaze, WaPo Fact Checker: Anger over baby formula sent to illegal immigrants when America's store shelves are bare is 'ridiculous faux outrage'. So, pretty much an opinion piece misleading labeled as a fact check. Pretty much their go to mode. HuffPoo whines (via Haut Hair) about how Elise Stefanik attacks "pedo grifters" for shortage of baby formula. Yeah; they're not all pedos. Reuters reports  Maker of Walmart, Amazon store-brand baby formulas sees shortages through rest of 2022. Across da pond at Da Mail, 'It's heartbreaking to see': Melania slams Biden over baby formula crisis and says it's 'sad' children are struggling to eat in '21st century USA – as formula boss warns crisis will last ALL YEAR.  Democrats, look on the bright side, that will take some attention away from gas prices.

Speaking of which, Fox Business reports National gas price average hits new high on Sunday at $4.47 per gallon, Diesel also hit its own highest recorded cost at $5.56. Just shy of that here, thanks to California dragging the national average upward. Meanwhile, PM reports the Biden administration cancels sale of oil and gas lease in Alaska, "The sale would have opened up drilling potential in over one million acres in the Cook Inlet." And Anxious anxiously explains why Summer vacation is going to be expensive

At the Peacock, Inflation is costing U.S. households an extra $341 a month. Here’s what’s more expensive and how you can save some money. Vote against the Democrats. Derek Thompson at the Slantic, cited at Haut Hair, lists Nine worrying signs about the economy. Only nine? At City Journal Allison Schrager says Elizabeth Warren’s Price-Gouging Bill Flunks Basic Economics "Price Controls?! Democrats look to resurrect a completely discredited economic policy." Yeah, but it makes her really popular with economically illiterate college kids. Nick Arama at Red State notes how Jeff Bezos Just Called out Joe Biden on Twitter, Grab the Popcorn.

In random election news, Da Hill reports Trump endorses Doug Mastriano for Pennsylvania governor, Uh, OK. In the other big Pennsylvania race, for Senate, NYPo sees Trump demands Pennsylvania voters to reject Senate hopeful Kathy Barnette, in favor of fellow celebrity liberal turned conservative, Dr. Oz. "“She lost her race as a congressional candidate by more than 20 points. She was really hit hard,” Trump said in Thursday night teleconference remarks circulated by Oz’s campaign. “The problem is nobody knows what she is, what she stands for, who she is. It’s very risky because you’re going to win this with Oz,” Trump added." The race is also causing tension among Fox opinion people. At Mediaite, Mark Levin Rips Fellow Fox News Host Laura Ingraham: She ‘Has a Cork Up Her Nose’ for her antipathy to Dr. Oz.

At Based Politics, New Evidence Shows US Attorney General Lied; FBI Did Target Parents Who Protested At School Boards, and from PM, Virginia high school launches Justice Department program that segregates teens into 'homogenous breakout groups' "The first day of the program reportedly places students in "separate homogeneous breakout groups" where they "have uncomfortable conversations about tensions in the school.""

Also from PM, Pedophile-defending prof hired by Johns Hopkins center for prevention of child sexual abuse, because nothing is too outre for academia. Also, School district files 'sexual harassment' complaint against 3 middle school students for using the wrong pronouns, "The mere use of biologically correct pronouns not only does not constitute sexual harassment under Title IX or the District’s own policy, it is also speech protected by the First Amendment."" Da Mail, Wisconsin mom says son, 13, was accused of SEXUAL HARASSMENT and hit with Title IX complaint for refusing to refer to non-binary classmate by 'they/them' pronouns. WaEx, Wisconsin middle schoolers accused of sexual harassment for using wrong pronouns. At ET, As Parents Resisted Transgender Push, Teacher Suggested Sending in Child Services. This one should really piss you off.

Mediaite, Bill Maher Rails Against Abortion Rights Protests at Supreme Court Justices’ Homes: ‘It’s Wrong! It’s Intimidation!’. AllahPundit at Haut Hair deigns to notice, "It's wrong! It's intimidation!": Maher slams protests outside the justices' homes. Like broken clocks, both Maher and Allah. Ben Whedon at JTN, Wisconsin Sen Johnson asks AG Garland why Madison anti-abortion center attack not domestic terrorism, "Johnson highlighted ongoing protests outside the homes of the court's Republican-appointed justices" and Nicholas Ballasy notes AG Garland pointedly refuses to say if he would prosecute protesters outside justices' homes, "Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin and members of Congress want attorney general to uphold a federal law that prohibits actions to intimidate judges at their private residences." Can I just eat my waffles. Jim Sherlock at Bacon's Rebellion, Fairfax County Declines Assistance in Protecting Supreme Court Justices as Unconstitutional
The Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, a career progressive politician unburdened by a law degree, has declared Fairfax County’s support of federal authorities in execution of federal law to be unconstitutional.

Not unaffordable; not wrong; but unconstitutional.

He offered that opinion to justify his decision that the Fairfax County police will not help the federal government protect three Supreme Court Justices who live in the county.

Nonsense. That is not the reason.

The Justices who live in the county are all conservatives – Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett and Clarence Thomas – under attack by the left and threatened with personal harm.

That is the reason.

If Justice Kagan had a home in Fairfax County and was threatened, the FCPD would stand up a new division to protect her. The perimeter would be a half mile in every direction. . . .

PM, Twitter alleges Elon Musk broke NDA over fake account/spam discussion. At Ace's, Pixy Misa thinks Elon Musk continues to use Twitter as his personal salt mine.

At Fox, Dan Bongino: Why the media and the left are melting down over Elon Musk, Owning history is power, said Bongino on 'Unfiltered'.  At WSJ, How Disagreement Became ‘Disinformation’ "America’s enlightened influencers mistake their interpretations of the facts for the facts themselves, giving themselves an excuse for censorship," cited heavily at The Daily Sceptic. At Da Caller, No, Jen Psaki, Trump Didn’t Start The DHS ‘Truth Ministry.’ That’s Literal Disinformation. Like a broken clock, Bill Maher Slams Biden’s ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ (Based Politics).
