Primary Results, Prices Soar

Yesterday, we had some primaries to over-analyze today. Twitchy, PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS: WEST VIRGINIA AND NEBRASKA. The AP whines Trump-backed US Rep. Alex Mooney wins W.Va. GOP primary. Madeleine Hubbard at JTN called it a Mixed night for Trump candidates with win in West Virginia, loss in Nebraska, "Alex Mooney claimed victory in West Virginia, while Charles Herbster was defeated in Nebraska," while Breitbart crows Trump-Backed Candidates 58-1 in Primaries Following Races in Nebraska, West Virginia. I guess it depend on whether you're a glass half full kind of person. Chris Queen at PJ Media notes Biden Has Endorsed Fewer Candidates for 2022 Than Major Figures in Both Parties, probably because no one's asking.

The political weirdness of the day, from across da pond at Da Mail, Biden's sister invites Meghan Markle to join the Democratic Party because she would 'of course' make a good presidential candidate: She defends President's gaffes as 'truths' and confirms he WILL run again in 2024

Ace, Trafalgar: Dark Horse Kathy Barnette Is Suddenly In Position for a Major Upset for the Pennsylvania Republican Senate Primary

We have two unpalatable options in Pennsylvania: The Bush-backed Establishment jagoff McCormick, or the Oprah liberal Mehmet Oz. Oz was endorsed by Trump but, who cares, he's a lefty flake. But what if suddenly there was a third possibility?

12 Ft,  Wikipedia Deletes Page of Top US Senate Candidate "Wikipedia editors deleted a page for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Kathy Barnette after arguing she is not a notable person. Barnette’s page was later restored, but could be deleted at any time, editors said." Why do they hate notable Black Republican women? Thomas Lifson at Am Think, Wikipedia deletes article on PA senate primary candidate who is surging toward defeating Dr. Oz.  At Breitbart, Dr. Oz Roasted, Schooled by Gun Hobbyists After Releasing Awkward Shooting Video. Dr. Pander.

At PJ Media Stephen Kruiser hopes Dem Abortion Meltdown Isn't Slowing GOP Midterms Momentum. I don't think it will either. Capt. Ed at Haut Hair watches as NBC wonders: Has Schumer *really* looked at polling on abortion? Paul Bedard at WaEx thinks Biden on verge of losing Hispanic-black base. Bob Spencer at PJ Media hears Nancy Pelosi Wants a ‘Strong Republican Party.’ Really, She Does. There’s Just One Catch. Democrat-light, just like it was when she was 18. AP, It’s official: NY congressional primary moving to Aug. 23, after Democrat Gerrymander slain by court.

Biden finally took note that he was in trouble over inflation, and set out to fix it do something about it. At NYPo, Biden finally admits soaring inflation a ‘real tough problem,’ suggests it may get worse. The buck picked up speed as it passed the Resolute Desk, WaT, Biden blames Putin, ‘ultra-MAGA’ for inflation, vows to give voters ‘simple’ explanations and Ultra-MAGA takes Washington by storm. Remember what Menken said about simple explanations "There is always a well-known solution to every human problem—neat, plausible and wrong." JCN, President Biden’s Clueless Remarks on Inflation Suggest Americans Should Brace for Stagflation and Recession. Sundance at CTH, Joe Biden Rails Against Inflation He Created. Fox, Biden blasted for ‘lying’, ‘gaslighting’ speech blaming inflation on pandemic and Putin. Matt Margolis at PJ Media, WATCH: Did Biden Admit to Causing Inflation? Or was he just being incoherent as usual? Tampa Freep, ‘The Strength That We’ve Built Is Inflation’ Biden Attempts To Explain Plan To Address Rising Prices. Michael Goodwin at NYPo, says Biden isn’t fooling anyone — inflation is his fault and he has no solution to fix it. TR Malloch at Am Great, Future Misery and Joe Biden, "By 2024, America will be poorer, sicker, more terrorized, and economic growth will not have recovered from what it was in the Trump years." At Based Politics, Biden Press Secretary Caught in 2 More Big Lies on Inflation, "It's hard to stick to the truth when the facts are so damning." It is her job (for a while), after all. At WaEx, GOP Senate campaign chief Rick Scott asks Biden to resign presidency over inflation. Not gonna happen.

From the Center Square, Gasoline prices set record Tuesday as Biden deflects inflation criticism. At JTN, Americans fret about gas prices, don’t see country ‘headed in the right direction’, "Rasmussen Reports’ new poll shows that only 28% of likely U.S. voters surveyed “think the country is heading in the right direction.” Breitbart, Gas Price Average Soars to Over $6 in California Counties. Forget it Jake, it's California. At Da Caller, an EXCLUSIVE: GOP Pushes Bill Rebuking Biden’s ‘All Out Assault On American Energy’. Bloomies at MSN, Prices Are Going Up So Fast at This Restaurant They’re Using Stickers on the Menu. Althouse, "Across the country, many mothers say they are rationing food for their babies as they search for more formula."

Is President Biden doing anything to help? I searched the page for "Biden" and all I came up with was:

Republicans have seized on the widening anxiety among parents to blame President Biden, arguing that the administration has not done enough to ramp up production.

Barron's reports Retirees Face a Whirlwind Market. What Advisors Say They Should Do. "Advisors suggest retirees maintain enough cash or liquid assets to cover a year of living expenses." The Peacock, Household debt nears $16 trillion despite rising rates and inflation. Despite? Larry Brandes at Flopping Aces on Why Democrats Cheat. That's just too easy. Because it works, and because they're allowed to get away with it. D. Parker at Am Think wonders Why aren’t we allowed to question the 2020 election? Jordan Boyd at Da Fed notes how a Federal Judge Eviscerates Russia Collusion Hoaxer Marc Elias For Aiming To Undermine New York Elections. John Solomon at JTN, Panel rules Soros-backed prosecutor violated multiple ethics rules in pursuit of ex-Gov. Greitens.

At The National Desk, Parent finds urinal in girls bathroom at public middle school, put there deliberately. At Bounding into Comics, Marvel Star Tom Hiddleston Says “There’s Further To Go” In Representing Comic Book Characters’ Sexuality On Screen.
