A follow up to this mornings post about Al Gore selling his Current TV Channel to Al Jazeera, the Qatar government owned media outlet. It turns out that Glen Beck tried to buy the channel and was turned down by Al Gore and his backers, based on his political outlook:
The Wall Street Journal caught the detail in its coverage: "Glenn Beck's The Blaze approached Current about buying the channel last year, but was told that 'the legacy of who the network goes to is important to us and we are sensitive to networks not aligned with our point of view,' according to a person familiar with the negotiations."The syllogism is pretty simple. Al Gore and his backers would not sell Current to Glenn Beck because they were not aligned with his views. They sold Current to Al Jazeera. Ergo, Al Gore and his backers are aligned with Al Jazeera.
