Another Nearly Perfect Day at the Beach - 6/4/11

We met Joel at 8:30 this AM for the walk as we had the  Flag Harbor Annual Meeting (and Picnic).   Today was another gorgeous day.  After three or four hideous days of heat and humidity, Thursday Friday and Saturday (so far) have been dry and just the right temperature.

A wild (in the sense of unplanted) rose on the cliff.

 Some silly husky tongue.
Skye making some new friends, and getting a pet.
A non-domesticated Day Lily growing in the cliff debris.  It appears many Day Lilies lived on the edge, until the edge came to greet them.

Joel lecturing some mother on how to train dogs and children (the child got a big wet kiss from Red).

Someone rowing back to shore using a fish net as an oar.  This is not terribly effective, but the distance was short.  It could either mean his engine quit, or he just had it off to avoid damaging his prop in the shallow water in front of the boat ramp at Calvert Beach (it is shallow there, but I would think you could motor in closer than that).  I didn't hang around long enough to find out the story.
