Better Than a Sharp Stick in the Eye

As Tom (aka Barefoot) likes to say.

It being a wonderful, warm and almost windless afternoon after a rainy morning, I invited one of my fishing buddies, Barefoot, for an afternoon. I was warned in advance by Walleye Pete that big fish had become scarce at "Location X", having apparently moved north into the spawning grounds (fear not, they'll be back).
Fortunately, there were a goodly number of 20-24 inch fish to keep us busy, as well as a few annoying 12 inch fish.
We hung around until a little after sunset, and faced with a rising breeze, and no larger fish in sight we headed for the harbor.
