Beach Report 5/8/24

A warm, slightly humid day with partly cloudy skies. It felt like the start of summer. There were a few noseeums about, although it's been worse the last couple of days. They're not usually a problem here.
The tide was well on it's way up, but with lots of gravel and shell to look through. I got an almost record number of drum teeth, 7.
The heart-breaker of the day, the ruin of a big tooth, which might either be a piece of a Megalodon, of a big White shark tooth. It has no serrations like a Meg would, but it's very worn. I also think I see the remnants of a bourlette, the classic sign of a Meg.
I will let the pros decide.
I also found another "fish tail" aka hyplural bones.  My third so far this year.
