Flotsam and Jetsam - Baldwin Off the Hook, Hunter on the Hook?

Just a single link on this one, ABC, Charges dropped against Alec Baldwin in fatal on-set 'Rust' shooting. Obviously, I don't know the ins and outs of New Mexico Law, but it seems pretty open and shut involuntary manslaughter. He pointed the gun, he cocked the gun, he pulled the trigger, and someone died, and even if he didn't know the gun was loaded, and was told it was not, he should have checked himself. I wouldn't want him to go to jail, but some judicial reprimand (probation, fines, etc) seem warranted to me. I don't want to think he got off because he's well connected, but, well, there it is.

Continuing the story of the IRS whistleblower, sundance at CTH sees Two-Tiered Justice, IRS Supervisor Says Political Intervention Taking Place to Protect Hunter Biden – Requests Whistleblower Protection  and hosts IRS Whistleblower Lawyer Outlines Issues with U.S. Govt and DOJ Interfering in Hunter Biden Investigation – Media Reporting Attorney General Merrick Garland Lied to Congress

At Ace, CBS Reports on IRS Whistleblower Who Says the Democrat US Attorney Handling the Hunter Biden Sham Investigation Is Deliberately Tanking the Case. "The lawyer bringing this case forward -- who represents an anonymous IRS worker asking Congress for whistleblower protection, and remaining anonymous until he gets that -- says that his client is prepared to deliver proof that a "senior Administration official" lied in his Congressional testimony. CBS reports they have learned the name of that perjurious official... is Merrick Garland, Attorney General and top capo of the Department of Justice gang." The divine Miranda Devine at NYPo notices The left ignores the real Biden Delaware drama to satisfy their bias. Fox, White House insists no 'political interference' in Hunter Biden probe after IRS whistleblower comes forward, of course.

Ace, in Red Italic font, with the famous flaming skull,  Ex-Acting-CIA-Director Michael Morrell Admits That the "51 Intelligence Officers" Letter Was a Lie Intended to Interfere With the 2020 Election, Concocted at the Direct Demand of the Biden Campaign. From John Solomon and Nick Givas at JTN, Ex-top spy admits Hunter Biden laptop letter designed to influence 2020 election, Blinken involved, "Extraordinary admission by career intelligence officer Michael J. Morell provides stunning evidence that the now-infamous letter from 51 security officials in October 2021 was not an organic intelligence community event but rather a political dirty trick." Ace, John Solomon: The Biden Campaign Was Behind the "51 Intelligence Officers" Letter; Current Secretary of State Anthony Blinken was Directed by Biden to Organize The Campaign Op Updated!  "I have no idea what this means, but I'm going to assume it means that Jim Jordan is writing a letter to Merrick Garland telling him to investigate Anthony Blinken, and this letter will include the charges that Blinken used US Intelligence to Interfere in a Presidential Election."

Scott Johnson at Power Line sees Bobby Kennedy enters the ring and says "In 2024, as a conservative Republican, I prefer Kennedy to Biden (or Newsom, for that matter). I offer the prospective Biden campaign an adaptation of the old Carter campaign slogan for its use in 2024: Why not the worst?" Capt. Ed disagrees "All due respect to my dear friend Scott, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. RFK Jr is no Eugene McCarthy, or even a Jimmy Carter. All RFK Jr reminds us is that it could get worse than Biden, even if it seems difficult to imagine. And make no mistake, voters given a choice between RFK Jr and Donald Trump might be tempted to go with the worst, especially once Hollywood and the media jump in with both feet to support Cheryl Hines’ hubby if he managed to push Biden out." Insty, I THINK THIS MAN AIMS TO MISBEHAVE . . . Althouse, RFK Jr.'s presidential announcement speech is so good, but it made me wonder why is it so hard to be this good? Why isn't this just basic competence? "Possible answer to my question: It's really not that good. Althouse, Elon Musk is "personally" paying for blue check subscriptions for LeBron James, William Shatner, and Stephen King. "Now you know who are the truly elite of this world. Dave Strom is perplexed, Is this a joke, Facebook? Althouse catches the UK Making it a crime not to censor.
Here's Jonathan Turley in "The Tower for Twitter? UK Minister Calls for Jailing Social Media Bosses Who Do Not Censor Speech":
[A]fter Musk decided to buy Twitter, Hillary Clinton called upon European countries to force social media companies to censor Americans. The European Union quickly responded by threatening Musk and other executives. Now, Technology and Science Secretary Michelle Donelan has announced plans to jail social media executives if they fail to censor so-called “harmful” content on their websites. The government, of course, will determine what is deemed too harmful for citizens to see or hear....

On Thursday, a TikTok video began making the rounds on Twitter in earnest that featured a man who identifies as a woman laying down a threat to those who wish to stop him from entering women’s restrooms. In the video, he dares people to try to stop him or any transgender woman from entering women’s restrooms, saying that if they do, it will be “the last mistake you ever make.” He follows this up by advocating for transgender people to arm themselves and begin rising up violently.
. . .
The bottom line is this: In the event that my wife, mother, sister, niece, or any female friend or acquaintance makes her way into the women’s restroom and I see you follow her in after, it’s my duty as a man to either stop you or, if for some reason I end up failing that, I will follow you into that room myself.
