It's a warm (81!) muggy, and cloudy day here as we await the rains, first from a cold front, and then from the remains of Hurricane Nate. We actually interrupted Skye's couch nap so we could get a start before lunch.
It's getting late in the year for butterflies, but this somewhat worse for wear Common Buckeye was hanging out in the dunes.
The GBH's were out.
A small "Mako" (really a White Shark) tooth, as I found it, partially covered by sand.
Here it is free of the sand, and safely in hand.
Not impressed.
#14, 15, 16 and 18 of 21. Georgia found 6 as well for a total of 27. The Cow Shark tooth was the prize of the day.
I just had to add this, from a couple of days ago, a Red-Spotted Purple.
