I'm Back

We left Solomons in the dark at little after 5:30 AM. A muted sunrise over 'Mike's Rocks' on Hoopers Island. It was cloudy most of the day, with light rain threatened, but never materializing. We managed half of our boat limit of Striped Bass here, all on top water plugs.
Fishing over a wreck off Bloodsworth Island. Nothing here.
A familiar sight. The drowned back end loader at Holland Island. Everything from the boat to the load was land within the time I have been visiting here with Pete. A few fish here, too.
The harbor mouth at Ewell, on Smith Island. I was hoping for a floating Smith Island cake store, but alas, no. We did, however, finish our 2 fish per angler (not counting Pete) here.
From there, we went in search of Speckled Trout, Redfish and Blues, starting at the Middle Grounds near Smith Island, where we did get some bluefish bites, and 1 fish. Reds and Specs continued to elude us as we went north again, stopping here at the Hoopers Island Light.
