And the Rockets Red Glare

Just like last year, we decided to watch the fireworks on the beach from the water. We left around 8:30 PM, in the wake of a small storm, that was still visible in the south when we got off the beach. But the radar looked good, and we had no further weather
Not a brilliant sunset, but a touch of red.
As usual, some of the firework users started while the sky was a bit light.
Gabi was initially upset with being put in her life jacket, but she settled down into the fireworks show.
I really enjoy the fact that our fireworks display, while totally illegal, is put on by many citizens who lay out their own good cash to buy fireworks in state where they are legal, and put on a display for the community.
And it's not just one person, it's many, up and down the shore.
Gabi thought it was great.
But after a while, even the fireworks couldn't hold her attention any longer, and she decided to take a turn at the wheel (not to worry, we were safely anchored).
