With the advent of "Snoctober", and a mass exodus of people from Zuccotti Park, the actual number of people remaining to "occupy" Wall Street stood at somewhere between 50 and 100. However, the number of 'working groups' had multiplied to 79. A quote from Robert Heinlein comes to mind:
A committee is a life form with six or more legs and no brain.
--Lazarus Long
What are conditions in Zuccotti Park like now?
"It's like Valley Forge out there now," a beaming middle-aged finance facilitator named Mercury John told me. "But it's a beautiful day ... We'll keep splashing in the puddles."It's like Valley Forge, without an enemy trying to kill you, with good, free food, good clothes, good shoes, good bedding and without typhoid, pneumonia, dysentery and jaundice. But they are generating similar unsanitary condition, so it may yet become more similar.
