A Florida couple with no mortgage were served with foreclosure papers by a branch of Bank of America. After winning a judgment against the bank, and not receiving their payment, they filed foreclosure papers against the bank. Deputies entered the bank, padlocked it and started to confiscate assets. Guess what. The bank found the money to pay the judgment.
I can see how a bank might make such an error. A small typo in an address etc could easily lead a bank to file faulty papers. OK, shit happens. But having been called out on it, they should rectify the issue post haste, including any payment and a public apology.
