Let Have Another Round of Russiagate

Here we are again, with another round of The FISA States of America, with "Adam Mill" at Am Great
Representative Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) smiled in response to my question. He had just opened the Kansas town hall for questions. I detected an eye roll as he composed his answer. “I don’t think Speaker Pelosi would go along with that,” he replied. It was maddening to hear this member of Congress seem to be representing Washington, D.C. to Kansas instead of the reverse.
. . .
Does FISA help prevent terrorism? As I noted here, the government obtained more than 1,000 warrants in a one-year timeframe to spy on Americans. That’s a lot of spying on a lot of Americans. The Justice Department’s lying to obtain these warrants has become so brazen that the court now questions whether it can trust any of the affidavits the FBI submits to justify its domestic surveillance. The fact that none of these lies are ever criminally punished further reinforces a cycle of dishonesty within the process.
Sundance at CTH, FISA Court Responds to DOJ and FBI Reform Proposals – Opinion and Order Does Not Outline Ramifications From FISC Abuses…
The FISA Court has responded to the overall reform proposal of the DOJ and FBI [FISC Link Here]. However, in the opinion & order today, written by Presiding Judge Boasberg, the court does not address the ongoing downstream investigative consequences from the fraudulent Carter Page FISA application. Instead the presiding judge focuses narrowly on the DOJ and FBI proposals for future applications.

Chuck Ross at Da Caller, Senate Panel Conducts First Deposition In FISA Abuse Probe, but for the life of him, Lindsey Graham can't remember who the first one was with. Some low level government fungus no doubt.
Graham said he did not not remember who was deposed Tuesday. But the South Carolina Republican had asked Attorney General William Barr for permission to interview 17 Justice Department and FBI employees who were discussed in a Justice Department inspector general (IG) report about the bureau’s surveillance of Page.

Miss Lindsey is... actually doing something besides running his mouth on Fox? . . .Whoa. This is paradigm-shifting, if true.

But this one's not, from Beckett Adams, WaEx, Democratic officials may have pushed bogus intelligence alleging the Russians want to reelect Trump. "May have?" and from Just The News, Trump camp sues Post over Russia stories "Trump campaign files libel case against Post days after one against N.Y. Times." Filed under suits I want to succeed that probably won't.
he Trump reelection campaign is widening its response to what it says are “falsely” reported stories about the Russia collusion investigation, filing suit Tuesday against The Washington Post.

The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia by the Donald J. Trump for President Campaign, which “seeks to hold the news organization accountable for intentionally publishing false statements" against Trump's 2016 campaign. The suit comes six days after the campaign filed a similar suit over an opinion story in The New York Times.

The suit against The Post focuses on statements in two stories: that 2016 Trump campaign “tried to conspire with” a “sweeping and systematic” attack by Russia in that presidential election cycle, and “who knows what sort of aid Russia and North Korea will give to the Trump campaign, now that he has invited them to offer their assistance?”

“The statements were and are 100 percent false and defamatory,” said Jenna Ellis, senior legal adviser to the campaign.

What the hell? What The Roger Stone Judge Just Started Doing With Jurors Is Criminal And We Are Footing The Bill, from News Thud
Now the judge has decided that the court will handle the legal fees for all jurors. In a decision on Monday Jackson appointed Alan C. Raul to represent the jurors. Bloomberg News reports:
In a hearing last week, Judge Jackson claimed that there will not be a review or questioning of the jurors because it puts their safety at risk. She then started ranting about how Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, and other conservative reporters pointed out the corruption in her courtroom, she got so mad he pounded her fists on the podium.

In a decision on Monday, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson appointed Alan C. Raul to represent the jurors. The ruling was made in response to an attempt by journalist and right-wing provocateur Michael Cernovich to intervene in the case and gain access to information about the jurors, including their responses to a series of questions before the trial to vet who could be impartial.
The court determined “it would be in the interest of justice and that it would aid the court in the full and fair resolution of this miscellaneous matter to appoint pro bono counsel to represent any juror or jurors who choose to participate in it,” the judge said in an order in Washington.
This is an outrage we are now footing the bill for corrupt jurors and a corrupt judge.
She should pay out of her own pocket. It's her fault that an entirely unsuitable juror slipped through onto the jury.
