Amalie Bruun.
Danish composer and classically trained multi-instrumentalist Amalie Bruun has become one of contemporary black metal’s most vital exponents. Her self-tiled EP and full length debut ‘M’, produced by Ulver mainman Kristoffer Rygg, catapulted Myrkur into the forefront of extreme music, blowing down the doors of the black metal boys’ club. Amalie made her debut live performances opening for some of the biggest festivals in Europe including Wacken and Hellfest, scooping a slew of awards for her efforts. All this success took its toll however, with Amalie feeling drained and plagued by crippling night terrors and sleep paralysis. The Wombat has Rule 5 Monday: Hayley Atwell out on time.
