Election Snow Day

The cable is back up, so I'll try to power through this, before it goes out again. From sundance at CTH, Media Begins Their Week Long J6 Attack on Democracy Narrative Engineering Effort. Once the cable was back, I tried to put on the news, but Fox wasn't up, but CNN was. And yes, they're pushing it hard. NYT, cited by Haut Hair, Every day is January 6 now. Insty, ALL HYSTERIA ALL THE TIME: Every day is January 6 now. "The Establishment is telling what it’s afraid of, and it’s desperately afraid of a grassroots movement on the part of the Normal-American community." Also, THE WAY THIS ADMINISTRATION IS GOING, HOW LONG UNTIL PEOPLE LOOK ON JANUARY 6 AS A LOST OPPORTUNITY RATHER THAN AN INSURRECTION? New polling on January 6 is a MAJOR BUZZKILL to Brian Stelter and many other journos, but Politico claims (without evidence) that the House's Jan. 6 probe is popular — even among many Republicans. Althouse,"34% of voters say the Republican Party is headed in the right direction, up 10 points from immediately after Jan. 6 and slightly higher than before the attack on the Capitol." also, "[T]o argue, as Liz Cheney and Nancy Pelosi do, that Trump didn’t have a right to contest the election is to replace the rule of law with the rule of intimidation."

"The Democrats and their partners in the media have used all their assembled might to coerce Trump and his allies into silence. His only crime is that he won’t shut up about the election being stolen. Nor for that matter is he the only one who thinks that the election was fraudulent. Millions of us independently reached the same conclusion. If any of those supporters had turned to violence at the Capitol, they should be appropriately tried, convicted and punished for their misdeeds, but that’s not on Trump any more than it is on the rest of us who encouraged our fellow citizens to work to prevent the installation of Joe Biden as president as long as doubts persisted about his legitimacy."

From "The Big Lie and the Elastic Truth: How to Invent a Coup" by Frank Miele (Real Clear Politics).

Fox, MSNBC's 'Deadline: White House' mentions Trump more than twice as often as Biden, "Nicolle Wallace fixates on ex-president, Capitol riot on daily MSNBC show." Capt. Ed at Haut Hair,  Jan 6 fevah: Progressive groups, media fire up insurrection narrative to take out the filibuster. To be fair, for them, anything is an excuse to nuke the filibuster. At Am Think, JB Shurk thinks Jan. 6 Is the USA's Own Tiananmen Square. I think he's right.

Breitbart, Liz Cheney: Republicans Can’t Be Loyal to Both Trump and the Constitution. Nick Arama at Red State, Liz Cheney Gives the Game Away When She Reveals What the 'Single Most Important Thing' Is

“I can tell you that that the single most important thing, though, is to ensure that Donald Trump is not the Republican nominee and that he certainly is not anywhere close to the Oval Office ever again.”

Get that? The little bitch, who got her seat by nepotism assumes the right, as part of the 'elite' to tell us who or who not is qualified for the presidency. Voters get to chose only from the groups she chooses to tolerate. 'Bonchie' at Red State lightheartedly wonders Did God Just Throw a Wrench in the Democrats' Gaudy January 6th Plans?

If you haven’t checked the weather recently in Washington DC, the nation’s capital is currently getting a healthy dose of snow. Some places have already gotten 6 inches, and there’s more coming as the day drags on. Why is that relevant? Because if you’ve ever lived there (I did for about three years, including during 2016’s snowmageddon), you know that the slightest bit of snow shuts down that city for days on end.

Politico whines, At time of Capitol prayer service Jan. 6, Trump will deliver remarks doubling down on the ‘Big Lie’ , forcing CNN to cover something else on Jan. 6? Delicious.

Jazz Shaw sees the Poll: A lot of people think violence against the government is sometimes justified. Of course it is; the only question is when. Read the Declaration. Da Caller recalls, Stephanopoulos Claims Clinton Supporters Didn’t Riot After 2016 Election, Forgets 2017 Inauguration Day Riots

Megan Fox at PJ Media reports D.C. Jail Cuts J6 Prisoners' Communications After Newsmax Interview. This countries Uighurs. Ace, Newsweek: The Acting Attorney General of the DOJ Unilaterally Deployed Secret Commandos to the Capitol on January 6 with Shoot-to-Kill Orders "Supposedly, they were deployed to "protect Trump and Pence." . . . Anyone believe that? . . . Also note that the DOJ decided to do this themselves, without anyone asking them to."

Shockingly (not), from Fox, Trump enters 2022 as clear frontrunner for next GOP presidential nomination. BPR, Alaska Gov. Dunleavy wholeheartedly accepts Trump’s Murkowski-snubbing endorsement. At Da Caller, Trump Endorses Illinois Rep. Mary Miller Ahead Of Member Vs Member Primary.

After doing everything in their power to make politics ugly, Da Beast warns The Next Year in Politics Could Somehow Be Even Uglier. At Red State Gil Gutnecht  says Brandon Phenomenon Is Bigger than Biden. It as much about the press. At HR, Adam Ellwanger discourses on the Linguistic Weaponry and the Rhetorical Mechanics of “Let’s Go Brandon!”

John Solomon at JTN, Texas election audit identifies nearly 12,000 foreigners suspected of registering to vote, "Suspected non-citizen voters have been referred to counties for investigation, and more than 2,000 have already been removed from rolls, Texas Secretary of State John Scott reports." Gabe Kaminsky at Da Wire, Biden Judicial Nominee Said ‘Proof of Citizenship’ is ‘Voter Suppression’. 'Lucretia' at Am Great Electoral Integrity For Me, But Not For Thee "What will happen when a significant portion of the electorate believes that a free and fair election is no longer possible because the system is permanently rigged to keep the ruling party in power?" At NYPo, Billionaire Ronald Lauder blasts Hochul over universal mail-in voting. Yuval Levin at NYT, cited by Haut Hair, Voting rights should not be the focus of election reform

The parties’ emphasis on voting itself also doesn’t lend itself to bipartisan action, which is essential to public trust. Democrats in Washington should see that using one of the narrowest congressional majorities in American history to nationalize election rules in every state in ways opposed by every Republican official — even if it’s well intentioned — would undermine public confidence in elections. Republicans should recognize that state laws restricting the times and methods of voting over the objections of every elected Democrat will be perceived as an attack on the voting rights of Democrats, even if they aren’t.

AB Stoddard at RCP claims Democrats Face a Brutal Reckoning With Hispanic Voters. Once can only hope, but give the Republicans some credit, they're capable of throwing it all away.

At Mediaite, Retired Gen. on CNN Says Military Has ‘Threat Within’ for 2024, Warns ‘Stop Listening to the Pillow Guy and Start Learning’. I don't listen to him, but I don't need a retired General telling me what I can listen to.

Stacy McCain, The Worst House Speaker, Ever

Good-bye and good riddance, Nancy Pelosi:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) “is expected” to retire after the 2022 midterms, the Washington Post reported Monday.
While rumors have been swirling for months about Pelosi’s next moves amid projections the Republican Party is to retake the House in 2022, WaPo named several successors to replace Pelosi. . . .
Pelosi represents the destructive impulses of the “San Francisco Democrats,” about whom Jeanne Kirkpatrick famously said, “They always blame America first.” Pelosi and her cohorts have done everything in their power to undermine constitutional liberty and to destroy the economic and social fabric of the nation. Well might we say of her what Cromwell said to the Rump Parliament in 1653: “You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!”
