We've been avoiding the beach for the last several days because of below freezing temperatures and stiff winds. Skye had to settle for street walks. We can do cold, we can do wind, but a cold wind is just too much. Today was just about freezing, and the wind down to a mere 10-15 kts SSE, easy to walk north, a little tough on the way back
Some interesting ice sculptures up the beach. Clay boulders capped with ice,
You can see the ice build up on the jetty. Driving by, most of the harbor was iced over with thin pancake ice.
Not the best fossil day ever, 5 teeth, and 2 crab claws.
Wind sculpture in the sand, a frozen surface eroded by high winds.
