Beach Report 8/4/24

Our first sight at the beach this afternoon was a thunder storm crossing the Bay to our north.
We started down the beach, and the rumbling got louder and louder. With a wall cloud clearly approaching, we let discretion beat valor, and turned back at the Calvert/Matoaka line.
Given the short walk, it wasn't the  most productive walk for fossils, with 6 teeth apiece, but Georgia was the clear winner with this Cow Shark tooth.

The wall cloud caught up to us as we approached the jetty/parking lot, but the rain held off until we made it to the car.
