Thare's a Convoy a Comin'

I got a little off track yesterday, and never got back to the rest of the political/election links that I'd saved.  Let's see what I can do. Let's begin today by looking at the Freedom Convoy's taking shape in the US, and the Canadian crackdown that preceded, and prompted them.

Starting in Canada, a trio of posts from sundance at CTH, A Major Backfire – Is the Canadian Financial and Banking System in Serious Trouble as a Result of Their Attack on Private Bank Accounts? "Has there been a massive exodus of capital out of the Canadian financial system?" (Would you trust banks that will freeze your assets for wrong think? I think not). Facing Financial Peril and a Pending Senate Rebuke, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Revokes Emergency War Measures Act and BOOM, Trudeau Reversal Motive Surfaces – Canadian Banking Association Was Approved by World Economic Forum To Lead the Digital ID Creation. From Front Page, Jordan Peterson Video: "I Was Told to Take My Money Out of Canadian Banks Quickly"

Rebel News, Freedom Convoy donors names published on Google Maps, "Hours after the Google Maps link was posted, the tech giant removed and deleted the post containing all of the pins, citing a violation of the company’s terms of service." The laptop class might come to regret going to war against the class of workers that deliver fuel and food. At City Journal, Reality Honks Back, "The Canadian trucker convoy suggests a new class divide originating in our experience of reality itself." Global News, Trudeau to revoke Emergencies Act after convoy blockades end, “Today, after careful consideration, we’re ready to confirm that the situation is no longer an emergency,” he said. “Therefore, the federal government will be ending the use of the Emergencies Act.” Mary Chastain at LI, Canadian Senator: Trudeau Revoked Emergencies Act as Senate Leaned Towards Disapproval. Chris Queen at PJ Media wonders Are Trudeau's Actions Under Canada's Emergencies Act Unconstitutional? Matthew Boose at Am Great discusses  Trudeau’s Tyranny and the War on Civil Society, "The convoy embarrassed the elite and challenged their authority. And for that Trudeau made them pay. Other Western elites will follow." Insty, TRUDEAU BLINKED AND THERE’S FALLOUTBruce Pardy@PardyBruce "On Monday, use of the Emergencies Act was vital to the welfare of the nation. On Wednesday, they ran away from it as fast as they could. Nothing changed between Monday and Wednesday except the politics."  Ace, Revealed: Emails Between Mounties Show Them Gloating About Intimidating Protesters With Their "Jackboots"The neocons allied with the neoliberals support this, and keep telling us it's no big deal. As much as I respect most cops, some get into it because they're comfortable being bullies, and this is a way to do it and get paid legally. At Am Spec, Larry Thornberry on The Very Curious Ms. Justin ‘Fidelita’ Trudeau, "O Canada — where did you go wrong?" Stephen Kruiser at PJ Media, Canada's Commie Fascist Ways Warm the Hearts of American Democrats, Capt. Ed at Haut Hair, Hmmm: Dem support for Trudeau's protest suppression nearly 4:1. But, but, but, truckers live matter!

At Breitbart, Mike Pompeo warns What Is Happening in Canada Can Happen in America. Meanwhile, from Lesley Eastman at LI, Truckers Gathering in California as #PeoplesConvoy Prepares Journey to D.C, "Pentagon expected to OK National Guard for DC in response to convoys." Across da pond at Da Mail, 'We want to jumpstart the economy and reopen the country': 1,000 vehicles join the People's Convoy in California and start 11-day cross-country drive to D.C. to protest COVID mandates - fueled by $500,000 in early donations. TimCast, US Trucker Convoy Raises Over $300,000 Ahead of Wednesday's Departure. Rasmussen Reports@Rasmussen_Poll, "Would you support a US-based trucker convoy protest? Yes - 54% No - 38%" To arrive in D.C. on March 5. Even Althouse, "A group of US truckers embarked in a convoy of vehicles on Wednesday on a 2,500 mile cross-country trip from Barstow, California to Washington DC to protest against coronavirus restrictions." Politico, National Guard to help D.C. control traffic for truck convoys  "Guard members will not carry firearms or take part in law enforcement or domestic-surveillance activities, the Pentagon said." Nope, the DOJ and DHS will take care of that.

At Da Caller, Leader Of Trucker Convoy To DC Has A Message For Biden: ‘End The Mandates’. They're fading pretty fast on their own. Betsey McCaughey at NYPo warns ‘Blue-Collar’ Biden should not make Trudeau’s mistake and welcome truckers heading to Washington. Good luck with that. Jordan Boyd at Da Fed, No Matter How Peaceful The American Freedom Convoy Is, Our Corrupt Regime Will Demonize It

Insty, HAHA, ONLY WORKING-CLASS PROTESTERS GET THIS TREATMENT:

I&I believes America Has Two Major Political Parties: The Republicans And The Authoritarians No politician is free from the impulse, that's why we have to watch them all closely.
