Just How Loud Did Pterodactyls Scream?

Quentin Tarantino claims to know:

Startling: The suit alleges the macaws, like this one, make 'obnoxious pterodactyl-like screams'Quentin is suing his next door neighbor for putting his pet parrots outside during the day, where their incessant screaming annoys him and disturbs his creative juices (I would think screaming might actually help...):
According to a lawsuit filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, his neighbours' Macaws emit 'earsplitting shrieks and screams' for seven or eight hours a day.

Startling: The suit alleges the macaws, like this one, make 'obnoxious pterodactyl-like screams'

'Nearly every day, Mr Tarantino and others in his home are subjected to the Macaws' obnoxious pterodactyl-like screams, which are not only startling, but have also seriously disrupted Mr Tarantino's ability to work as a writer in his home,' the court papers state.

'In short, the Macaws are a nuisance and have greatly interfered with Mr Tarantino's quiet use and enjoyment of his home.'
When I lived in Los Angeles as a teenager, we often had naturalized parrots visit the very tall palm trees at my parents house.  While audible, I don't remember them ever disturbing my study.  But then, I didn't study very hard.  Several species of parrots have been released and established breeding populations in the L.A. area.
