Politics On St. Paddy's Day?

Of course, it never ends. Breitbart has the poll that says 69 Percent of Voters Say Nation on Wrong Track Under Joe Biden. Vicky Taft at PJ Media wonders if there Will Anything Be Left of the U.S. After Biden Is Done With It?. Hopefully not a smoking ruin. Mad Max isn't out of the question, though.

A ray of hope? Stacey Lennox at PJ Media sees DeSantis Rising in Previously Deep Blue Miami-Dade County. Josh Kraushaar at National Journal is hoping Trump is staring at resounding rejection in GOP primaries. I dunno, he still seems pretty strong to me. Clearly liberals and anti-Trumpers still see him as the main target (with DeSantis #2). AllahPundit at Haut Hair feigns concern that Trump hints Pence won't be my running mate next time. Althouse reads the NYT, "... he apparently has no core beliefs other than the unshakable conviction that he should sit in the Oval Office."

So said somebody about Ron DeSantis — I'm reading that in some unedifying NYT essay — but I just wanted to say: Isn't that an apt description of everyone who's won the presidency in the last 60 years?

That unusually cynical even for her. I think Reagan had core beliefs, that I mostly agreed with, and so did Carter, that I mostly disagreed with.

The legislation, which passed in a 98 to 73 vote, gives the Georgia Bureau of Investigation the ability to investigate election fraud without a specific invitation from other state or local officials, Just the News reports. It also creates a detailed chain of custody requirement for ballot handling, and would allow for paper ballot inspections following an election. Additionally, it makes it a felony to threaten violence against poll workers and election officials, reduces the number of voting machines at election-day polling locations to account for those who voted early and requires employers to grant time off on election day for employees to vote.

On the inflation front, Breitbart reminds us  Producer Prices Rise 10% for Second Straight Month. Capt. WaPoo, Fed raises interest rates modestly, plans seven rate hikes in total this year, "The increase comes as the central bank is under tremendous pressure to cool down the economy without moving too aggressively or triggering a recession." Ed at Haut Hair cites Larry Summers: Fed, Biden about to launch That 70s Stagflation Show remake. I remember those times. Not so good. Insty, SO WE’RE BACK TO ARTICLES LIKE THIS: Feeling the pinch: Ways to budget during an inflation wave.. . .

Matt Vespa at Town Hall thinks Jen Psaki's Pivot on 'Temporary' Inflation Backfired Spectacularly. There's no inflation, inflation is good, inflation is temporary, inflation is all Putin and the Republican's fault and more deficit financed spending will help. Is that about right? Grabien, Sec. Breitbart points out how the  Reading Ability of Children is Far Lower than in Pre-COVID Times in Germany. Probably in the US too, but we won't know for a while. At Da Wire, Katy Jerkovich features Adam Carolla who says the Reason Why Kids Have Been Forced To Mask In Schools Is Much Worse Than COVID.

Carolla said it had nothing to do with the virus and told Kelly to remember one phrase, “crate training” as he explained that he thinks it is something much more insidious happening, because “there is no science to what they are doing.”

At Am Con, Jason Garshfield thinks it's time to Assert Civilian Control Of The Bureaucracy, "No unelected public employee should be allowed to gain Anthony Fauci-levels of power." I agree.

From the Wombat's In The Mailbox: 03.16.22, Mike LaChance at LI, Parents Outraged After Texas Elementary School Performs Racial Segregation Experiment,  “It was supposed to be a lesson on racism, but some parents are furious neither they, nor their kids, were told about it ahead of time.” You don't "experiment" on kids.

Ace, The Daily Imposition: "Men" Get Periods Too So to Be "Polite to Trans People" We're Going to Have to Further Deform Language and Society and Call Women... "Bleeders"

Literally the only thing that matters is that mentally ill people be made "comfortable" at all times. Or else they'll kill themselves. They say so 1000 times per day. No one else's comfort matters at all.

Insty, “BLEEDERS.” UPDATE NEWSPEAK DICTIONARIES ACCORDINGLY, COMRADES: UPDATE: Period product company that referred to ‘bleeders’ in an Instagram post is accused of ‘erasing women’ with ‘dehumanising and insulting’ language.

Breitbart, LGBTQIA+ Disney Employees Plan Walkout over Company’s Response to Florida’s Don’t-Groom-Kids Bill. If Disney were a rational company, it would be a good opportunity to get rid of potential groomers. Chris Rufo at City Journal, The War on Innocence, "A Kentucky summer camp teaches “sex liberation,” “BDSM,” and “self-pleasure” to minors." Who sends their kids to summer camp called Sexy Summer Camp? Joe Biden?

The agenda for last year’s events, which I have obtained from the organization’s publicly available calendar, reads like the syllabus from a radical queer theory seminar. The sessions included “Sex With Me Self-Pleasure Workshop,” “Gender Diversity,” “Let’s Talk About Sex,” “Sexy Trans Sex Ed,” “The 3 P’s: Pee, Poop, and Pleasure,” “Sex on Drugs,” and “Eugenics in Appalachia.”

You don’t start teaching kids about various sexual stuff in school unless you are hoping to have them sexually active young and that people refuse to see this speaks volumes about either their stupidity or complicity in such a goal.
