30-30

The wind was blowing 30 mph and the temperature was 30 F when we arrived at the beach this morning.  Well bundled and well furred we persisted. Click pics to embiggen.

It's not true. The scenery does change when you're not the lead dog.  You just have to look around.

The light patches are drifting sand.
A slide on the cliffs caused by the freeze-thaw cycle.  Water in the surface of the clay freezes, and loosens the material, which sloughs off when it thaws.  That slide is 3-4 inches thick

  1. Nice pics (especially the first), but glad I didn't walk.

Was the slide at Calvert Beach or farther north?
