Comedian Chrissie Mayr released footage from her recent comedy set in Dallas, where jokes poking fun at transgender dogma caused some audience members to heckle her and leave the show in protest.

A Business Opportunity

Insider, Tippity Wichity, a private island in a sheltered cove near the Chesapeake Bay, is on the market for $2.1 million.

Down river from the Chesapeake Bay lies a 5-acre landmass known as Tippity Wichity Island, just a 90-minute drive from Washington, DC.

It recently hit the market with Sotheby's for $2.1 million.

Current owners Gail and John Harmon, a couple in their late seventies, bought the island in the 1970s after seeing a small ad for it in The Washingtonian, a local paper. Gail, a retired lawyer, told Insider they were on the hunt for a vacation home by the water when they moved to Washington, DC, for a military commitment John had at the time.

 

That's when a listing for the Tippity Wichity listing caught her eye, which she said included a quote from William Shakespeare's play, "Richard II," that read: "This other Eden, demi-paradise, This fortress built by Nature for herself."

Records show that one of the first residents of Tippity Wichity Island was a soldier by the name of Captain Henry Howgate, the Sotheby's listing states. And depending on what you believe, it adds, Howgate was either a confederate or union soldier, who purchased the island in 1879 after the civil war.

Regardless of the side he was on, Gail believes he was up to no good on the island. "It's a house of ill repute," she said.

An article published in 1895 by The News, a publication from Maryland, reported that a person by the name of Captain Henry Howgate was later convicted for forgery and embezzlement. It's unclear if he was the same Howgate to have once owned Tippity Wichity.

 

While passing Tippity Wichity Island on a Potomac River cruise in 2017, Jody Argo Schroath reported in Chesapeake Bay Magazine that some locals believe the name suggests a bordello was built on the island after the civil war.

Schroath wrote that it's "a corruption of the name 'Tippling and Witchery Island,' named for a house of ill-repute located there following the Civil War."

David DeSantis, the broker in charge of the listing, told Insider it's not hard to believe the "debaucherous" stories told about the island's history. "Washington, DC, was still a small outpost in the 1800s," he said. "It was the wilderness. There was a lot of piracy on the water, it was sort of a lawless environment."

The island does have what appears to be a very nice three bedroom house on it. But how about access?

According to Gail, the island is a mere five-minute boat ride from a jetty on the mainland. It's so close, in fact, that she said her son and his friend once swam it when they were kids.

The proximity to shore and the fact that the island is equipped with a functional electric system and a backup generator means that it could be used as a full-time residence, DeSantis said.

"There is no reason why, if you didn't mind the inconvenience of having to get into a boat every day if you wanted to go somewhere," he added.

The cove it's located is pretty well sheltered in the back of the St. Mary's River, but in winter, that 5 minute commute in a motor boat could be kind of obnoxious.  Still, for the right kind of family it looks pretty interesting.

That detail is weird on its own, but it certainly gives credence to the Joe-Biden-is-Pedo-Peter theory.

Context: The Wisconsin Supreme Court recently held that these drop boxes are illegal. As The NYT wrote:

Former Gov. Eliot Spitzer used to smuggle his Russian-escort mistress into the luxury Upper East Side home he shared with his wife — by stuffing her inside a piece of luggage, she told The Post.

“He used to sneak me into his Fifth Avenue apartment in a black suitcase . . . when his wife was away,’’ Svetlana Travis Zakharova told The Post in an exclusive interview.

“My knees would be up by my face. When the doorman would ask if he could help, Eliot would say, ‘No, thanks.’ ”

That's pretty insane. But then, Spitzer strikes me as a special kind of insane.

Zakharova revealed the sleazeball sneak tactic — which she said the pair pulled off about 15 times at Eliot and Silda Spitzer’s home — as her lawyer prepared a new push to put the disgraced former pol behind bars.

The Russian sexpot first hit the headlines in early 2016 when she accused Spitzer of choking her during a sex-session-gone-awry at The Plaza hotel in Midtown.

And she's not the first to accuse him of rough sexual play.

Zakharova, now 28, said Spitzer would whine about another girlfriend and his wife when they met up for their anything-goes romps.

“He told me about problems with his wife. She complained about his drinking. She bought a dog without telling him,” Zakharova said.

Was he complaining about Ashley Dupré or Rebecca Woodward? He's had so many it's kind stunning. The best that his wife's money could buy.

But Spitzer, 59, got back at his spouse by not only going outside their marriage for sex, but by breaking Silda’s cardinal rule for their upstate estate: No one but family allowed, the ex-lover said.

“He used to take me upstate to the farm,’’ Zakharova said. “He cooked for me, omelets, and he would put a potato in the microwave.  He was not a good cook.’’

She said their relationship lasted so long because the pinstripe-loving former politician was a “sexual deviant’’ — and “his wife and other girlfriends wouldn’t do things.

“He complained about [another girlfriend] — he said she was annoying,’’ Zakharova said.

It's interesting that she was charged with extortion for demanding a payoff from Spitzer for not revealing that they had sex. The same thing is true for Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal. But then, Spitzer is a Democrat. But, in a typical SDNY move, prosecutors let him off the hook, and prosecuted her on unrelated charges:

Prosecutors never brought charges against Spitzer, although they targeted Zakharova, who was accused of trying to shake him down for $400,000.

The extortion rap was dropped as part of a plea deal involving an attempted petit-larceny charge against Zakharova, who was separately accused of trying to swipe rent money from an ex-lover.

Zakharova said she is now working on book and movie deals about her time with Spitzer.

In 2011, Judd joined the leadership council of the International Center for Research on Women. At the time, the ICRW applauded Judd’s “passion for empowering the world’s most vulnerable populations—especially women and girls—and focusing on grassroots solutions to transform their lives.” The actress is also a chairperson of the Women’s Media Center Speech Project: Curbing Abuse, Expanding Freedom. Her Twitter profile proudly notes that she is a Global Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund.

On Friday, the “feminist social justice humanitarian” promoted an event on Instagram, writing, “Join me LIVE in about 30 minutes from Paris, France for this powerful discussion on intersection of the #MeToo movement and prostitution.”

Judd’s social media was quickly inundated with criticism, causing Judd to double down on her anti-sex work platform. Kate D’Adamo, a sex-worker rights advocate and partner with Reframe Health and Justice, called her out, tweeting, “Congrats, ‪@AshleyJudd, on your hard work trying to make ‪#MeToo a space where those most likely to face and harm are unwelcome and unsafe. ‪#sexworkerlivesmatte‪r.” Judd eventually responded to D’Adamo’s thread, writing, “Hi, Thanks for your perspective. I disagree. I believe body invasion is indeed inherently harmful, and cash is the proof of coercion. Buying sexual access commodifies something that is beyond the realm of capitalism and entrepreneurship: girls and women’s orfices [sic].”
