Christmas at the Beach

Skye and I were on our own today, since Georgia stayed home to tend the prime rib (it was excellent).

The temperature was just about freezing, the high for the day. The sky was clear and the wind was minimal. We were about half way up on a pretty good low tide.
Overall, a terrible day for fossils. Despite a good tide, and lots of shell and gravel I could only come up with one tooth, a decent P. contorta. However, I did spot a black circle in the sand that turned out to be a pretty good fish vertebra. It was frozen in, and I had to dig it out with my knife.
