Yesterday evening the air smelled faintly of smoke. This morning it was down right oppressive. This is smoke from the wildfires in Canada, and not local burning. You can see how the horizon fades out looking north toward Breezy Point, about 10 miles away.
The air quality index in both Baltimore and DC are abysmal today, code red, nevertheless, we risked a walk on the beach.
It was a low tide, almost near astronomical, after several days of above normal tides, with good lines of shell and gravel and we found a bunch of teeth, 40, and a couple of crab claws. These are 3 of my better.
