Study Finds, Are suntans healthy? 8 in 10 don’t use sunscreen despite risk of cancer, skin aging. Count me among them, mostly. Day to day, I don't use sunscreen, but if I'm going to spend more that a couple of hours in the sun, I might. I've been walking almost daily in the sun in shorts and T-shirt mostly since some time in April, and my arms, legs and face show it. I do wear a wide brim hat to protect my ears and face.
