Hammack started playing music at age 13. While not getting much of a music education or vocal lessons at a young age, she self-taught by listening and singing songs on the country radio. The first time she had to turn down potential tennis scholarships was at age 15, after a surgery to remove a tumor. She wrote her first song, "Addictive", about the pain pills she had to take after the surgery. 

While her brother played Southern rock and her sister Britney Spears songs, she discovered the country genre for herself and counts Dixie Chicks and the SHeDAISY as her early inspirations. 

She received a full music scholarship to Belmont University in Nashville at age 18, but declined because her boyfriend persuaded her to stay in Ellaville with him. After she broke up with her boyfriend and was noticed by Luke Bryan, she moved to Nashville at the end of 2013 with about $1,000 of savings, a high school diploma, and her clothes in trash bags. She ran out of money and slept in her car. With a fake ID, she entered the music venues and bars and, after asking a bass player at the Honky Tonk Central on Broadway, she started to sing cover versions there weekly.  Before signing a recording contract, she performed several original songs, including "Redhead".

Caitlin Mae is a singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist with an energising and charismatic stage presence. Having sung with American Idol winner Carrie Underwood at just 17 years old, Caitlin Mae continues to delight the crowds at the venues she performs at across the UK as well as in Nashville, Tennessee where she has already toured twice this year with a third tour scheduled for the Fall.

Rule 5 Saturday - Jessica Chastain Demands 'Equity' in Nudity

For this week's Rule 5 post, let's consult Page Six, Jessica Chastain had one condition before going nude for ‘Scenes From a Marriage’

Jessica Chastain was only comfortable doing full-frontal nudity in “Scenes From a Marriage” if her co-star, Oscar Isaac, also bared it all.

“I said in the very beginning, ‘I’m comfortable with all the nudity, but any part of my body that you show, you’re going to have to show the same with Oscar,'” the 44-year-old actress shared while visiting “The View” with Isaac on Friday.

Chastain appears nude in a shower scene in the second episode, while Isaac, 42, appears nude in episode four.

 

“For me, I wanted it to be balanced,” the Golden Globe-winner explained.

Meanwhile, Isaac claims that he “didn’t know” that his full-frontal scene had made it onto the series and was surprised when people started talking about it

“You get sent the stuff to look at to be like, ‘Okay, I’m fine with that,'” the “Star Wars” actor said. “But I saw it on a laptop quite dark and I didn’t notice what was happening down there.” “I saw it clear as day on the big TV there. It’s there,” he added.

Well, it wouldn't scare me away, but I'm not spending a lot of time looking for it. 

Chastain has been vocal about how nudity on film has bothered her in the past, despite having “no issues” with nudity herself.

“For me, I’m uncomfortable with nudity when it feels like it’s not the person’s decision to be naked, when it’s something that has been put upon them. In a way, I see that as like a victimization,” the actress told Vulture in 2018.

Why Gingers are Different

Maybe.  Research reveals why redheads may have different pain thresholds

New research led by investigators at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) provides insights on why people with red hair exhibit altered sensitivity to certain kinds of pain. The findings are published in Science Advances.

In people with red hair (as in numerous other species of animals with red fur), the pigment-producing cells of the skin—called melanocytes—contain a variant form of the melanocortin 1 receptor. This receptor sits on the cell surface, and if it becomes activated by circulating hormones called melanocortins, it causes the melanocyte to switch from generating yellow/red melanin pigment to producing brown/black melanin pigment. Earlier work by David E. Fisher, MD, Ph.D., director of the Mass General Cancer Center's Melanoma Program and director of MGH's Cutaneous Biology Research Center, demonstrated that the inability of red-haired individuals to tan or darken their skin pigment is traced to inactive variants of this receptor. 

To investigate the mechanisms behind different pain thresholds in red-haired individuals, Fisher and his colleagues studied a strain of red-haired mice that (as in humans) contains a variant that lacks melanocortin 1 receptor function and also exhibits higher pain thresholds.

The team found that loss of melanocortin 1 receptor function in the red-haired mice caused the animals' melanocytes to secrete lower levels of a molecule called POMC (proopiomelanocortin) that is subsequently cut into different hormones including one that sensitizes to pain and one that blocks pain. The presence of these hormones maintains a balance between opioid receptors that inhibit pain and melanocortin 4 receptors that enhance perception of pain. 

In red-haired mice (and therefore, possibly humans), having both hormones at low levels would seemingly cancel each other out. However, the body also produces additional, non-melanocyte-related factors that activate opioid receptors involved in blocking pain. Therefore, the net effect of lower levels of the melanocyte-related hormones is more opioid signals, which elevates the threshold for pain.

"These findings describe the mechanistic basis behind earlier evidence suggesting varied pain thresholds in different pigmentation backgrounds," says Fisher. "Understanding this mechanism provides validation of this earlier evidence and a valuable recognition for medical personnel when caring for patients whose pain sensitivities may vary."

It's certainly true that redheads have a different response to both pain and anesthesia than the rest of us. Long ago, Georgia discovered that in dental anesthesia, she needed to tell the dentist to wait extra time for the Novocain to  take effect.

Busted Russian Spy Fears Mammoth Infection

Putin spy girl fears cloning extinct woolly mammoth will spread plague on world - SEXY ex-Russian secret agent Anna Chapman wants Russian scientists to halt efforts to bring back the extinct woolly mammoth.

The glamorous spy claims the prehistoric remains of the ancient creature could bring “lethal infections of the past to our world.”

She said: “The excavation of the bodies of animals that died long ago is a deadly risk. Modern researchers believe that ancient fears are scientifically grounded.

“Bodies taken from permafrost might bring lethal infections of the past to our world. However, genetic experiments continue.”

Chapman, who was detained by the FBI before being exchanged with Salisbury novichok victim Sergei Skripal in 2010, attacked a scheme to make Pleistocene Park in the icy region Yakuita, Siberia, as a home for the born-again beasts.

The red headed beauty also warned Siberian shamans are also against digging up remains of the beasts - preserved in permafrost.

She said: “Biologists are running experiments to revive the mammoths.  “Pleistocene Park is being prepared in the lower reacher of the Koyma in Yakutia. “This is where they will be brought back to life. “Siberian shamans are warning against further studies. “In the myths of northern peoples, the mammoth remains as a symbol of catastrophe.”

Now a TV presenter on a show claiming to debunk mysteries, Chapman questioned whether the genetic experiments are “becoming a symbol of the planet’s catastrophe.”

Well, then I give her the same credibility as other TV presenters, like the ones on "Ancient Aliens" and similar U.S. TV programs. And Bill Nye.

She asked viewers: "Is it okay to interfere with the evolution of nature even with the best intentions?"

Chapman's identity as a Russian spy was uncovered by the FBI in New York, who learnt she had previously lived in the UK.

On her return to Russia, she and other outed spies sang patriotic songs with ex-KGB spy and Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Anna was part of cell of sleeper spies, one of whose goals was to get close to Bill and Hillary Clinton, and who were thought to be part of the inspiration behind "The Amerikans" TV series. She may also be part of the inspiration for "Red Sparrow." The spy business has been berry berry good to her.

Lily Luahana Cole (born 27 December 1987) is an English model, actress and entrepreneur. Cole pursued a modelling career as a teenager and was listed in 2009 by Vogue Paris as one of the top 30 models of the 2000s. She was booked for her first British Vogue cover at age 16, named "Model of the Year" at the 2004 British Fashion Awards, and worked with many well-known brands, including . . .

Cole's first leading role as an actress was as Valentina in the 2009 film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Mean Girls actor Lindsay Lohan is back in news for all the wrong reasons.

The one-time teen idol, currently in Russia, posted an unsettling video of her ‘interacting’ with a family she claimed came from war-torn Syria.

“Hey everyone, I just want to show you a family that I met,” she said in the video, “a Syrian refugee family that I’m really worried about. They really need help.”

“You want to come with me? Come with me. I’ll take care of you guys,” she can be heard saying in Arabic and English. “Do you want to stay in a hotel tonight? Do you want to watch movies? It would be so cool to watch a movie on a TV or a computer,” she then said to a child.

Lohan proceeds to follow the family as they get up to leave. “Look what’s happening, they’re trafficking children. You’re ruining Arabic culture by doing this.”

“I’m with you boys, don’t worry. The whole world is seeing this,” the actor adds. “Are you from Pakistan?” Lohan is punched in the face by the mother of the children after she attempts to ‘wrest’ one of the boys.

The rule of law in Russia is a bit thin. She's lucky she didn't get shot. Poison is still possible.
