Wombat's Tuesday Ruminations

Time to run through Wombat-socho's "Live at FiveSix: 05.19.15" for some news. Better late than never.

Islamic State Claims Full Control Of Ramadi, Capitol of Anbar Province opens the way to Baghdad - The fruits of the Obama/Clinton/Kerry foreign policies ripen like Durian, or even a rotten fish left too long in a bilge.

No Help From State Department For Americans Stuck In Yemen - My guess is that they're mostly Christian missionaries, or businessmen not giving Clinton.com their baksheesh. Compare to: Burundi President Fires Ministers After Coup Attempt, Defense, Foreign ministers sacked; no reason given, US Helping To Evacuate Foreigners - So we'll help foreigners in Burundi, but not Americans in Yemen? I've heard it said "A liberal is a man too broad-minded to  take his own side in a quarrel", but it's never been quite this obvious before.

Taylor Swift Tops Maxim’s 2015 Hot 100 - While I have to give her credit for a hell of a publicity machine, she's not even close, despite her lovely legs.

State Department Won’t Release Clinton E-Mails Until 2016 - Gee, I wonder why. . .  Uh, not really.

Oregon Governor Kitzhaber Scrapped Functional Obamacare Exchange For Political Advantage - Perfectly explicable. It was all about politics from the beginning anyway.

Brent Bozell Suggests Conservative Journalists Boycott ABC - Throw in CBS, NBC, NPR and PBS and we have a deal. Why should we allow the democrats to pick the battle site?

Iggy Azalea
Did Iggy Azalea Get Plastic Surgery On Her Face? Butterface. . .
“She definitely had some work done on her nose and chin. She already had so much done, I hope she’s not going for the Lil Kim look,” one said.

“The boob job was tasteful because it fit her body but the chin injections/implant looks incredibly fake and she got a cookie cutter nose job,” said one fan.
Supreme Court Rules Against Maryland On Income Tax Credits - But, but, but, taxing twice or even three times is the Maryland way! Sadly this one won't benefit us.

Leighton Meester
Another Hollywood star for Social Security stability Leighton Meester Pregnant, Expecting First Child With Adam Brody - Who names their kid Leighton?

Gov. Jindal Forms Presidential Exploratory Committee - Sure, why not, the more the merrier I always say. But I think he's running for VP.

Tighter Regulation Of Medical Weed Heads For Oregon Senate - Good luck with that. The whole southwest corner of the state runs on pot. The lumberjacks who used to cut trees now cut bud, and the whole of Portlandia is their market. It's about the only thing they have in common.

Cate Blanchett: I’ve Never Had Sex With Women - What? They couldn't find a lesbian as talented as you to play a lesbian?

Administration Seeks To End Immigration Enforcement By State, Local Police - Can't let the local yokels interfere in the plan to stack the voter roles for 2016, can we?

Staff Quit Clinton Foundation Over Chelsea - A boulder off the old Hill, eh?

Nikki Finke Sets Up New Site For Hollywood Fiction: HollywoodDementia.com - There should be no lack of material.

Former Thai PM Banned From Foreign Travel As Her Trial Begins - You mean other countries try their corrupt officials? What a novel approach.

Juncker Denies New Greece Rescue Plan As Negotiations Near End - Is it time to trade stocks for guns and gold?

Eleven Afghan Cops Get Prison For Not Protecting Woman Killed By Mob - Yes, all feminists need a stint in Afghanistan to learn the real truth about human nature.

Thanks, EBL!
Is George Stephanopoulos Future -And $105 Million Contract- In Danger? - He should be gone, but given his Clintonian connections, he could probably have blend a litter of kittens on live TV and not be fired.

EU Plans Military Response To Migrant Crisis - Another rotten fruit of the failed Obama/Clinton/Kerry Libya policy.

Saudi Arabia Advertises For Eight New Executioners To Handle Rise In Beheadings - They could a TV show and call it something like "So You Think You Can Execute?" And now, due to the failed Obama/Clinton/Kerry foreign policy, they're shopping for a bomb from Pakistan. And the one thing they do have is enough money.

President-Elect Buhari Credits South African Mercenaries With Crushing Boko Haram - Bringing in the mean white bigots to do the heavy lifting?

Bloggy Stuff:
The Jawa Report: ISIS Are Slow Learners
Michelle Malkin: Obamacare Exchanges On Life Support - It doesn't matter, in fact it's the point. Cloward-Piven.
Twitchy: Judicial Watch – Administration Knew About Benghazi Attacks Ten Days In Advance - So, did Defense and State not trust the administration with the information?
Michelle Obama’s Mirror: The Opposite Of Diversity Is University – So Shut Up! - The academic bubble can't burst soon enough.
American Power: Ceding Civilization To Barbarism - Sometimes the barbarians are better thinkers.
Blackmailers Don’t Shoot: They’re Baaaa-aaaack - SJWs declare unwar.
This Ain’t Hell: Saudis Cure Jihadism
The Christian Science Monitor writes about a kind of rehab center founded by the Saudis to cure jihadists with art therapy, water aerobics classes, ping-pong, Jacuzzis, and gourmet chefs at the Mohammad bin Naif Counseling and Care Center. The article claims that they have an 88% success rate and that they’re treating 250 reformed terrorists;
Joe For America: Oregon Gun Owners Reject Strict New Gun Bans, Will Not Comply - Portlandia declares war on the provinces, The provinces shrug and ignore them. They have all the guns.
Pamela Geller: Dennis Prager – “Why Pamela Geller May Be The Most Hated Person In America Right Now” - Because she speaks truth to power.
Protein Wisdom: What Happens In Vegas… - What the. . . ?
The Lonely Conservative: Jay-Z Posted Bail For Protesters - But not their damages.
Weasel Zippers: Ferguson Protesters Protest Not Getting Their Checks For Protesting - Bwahahaha!
On May 14, protesters, upset with not being paid their promised checks for protesting, protested outside MORE, Missourians Organizing For Reform and Empowerment, an ACORN organization which had received funding through George Soros to fund the protests.
Megan McArdle: Verily I Say Unto You – Christians Care About The Poor - Dammit Megan, stop being so sensible!
Mark Steyn: Nothing Another 42,000 Airstrikes Can’t Fix - As the administration thows away all progress in Iraq.

Wombat-socho  managed to get "Rule 5 Sunday: The Road To Sin City" done after all.

WAPO Admits "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" Was False

Michelle Ye Hee Lee, Glenn Kessler's understudy and  henchperson in the Washington Post's "fact checking" arm got around to cleaning up the mess left by the newsroom in its attempts to frame the message around Michael Brown's shooting in Ferguson by a white policeman in the line of duty as a crime:

‘Hands up, don’t shoot’ did not happen in Ferguson,

and awards the meme Four Pinocchio's, the maximum, as being a flat out lie. Being a liberal paper however, she finds it necessary to put some pretty wallpaper on the ugly truth:
We care about facts, how they’re used and the context in which the facts are portrayed. In this case, it is important for us to note that the initial “Hands up, don’t shoot” chant after Brown’s shooting has evolved into a message that is no longer connected solely to the Ferguson event. A series of other fatal shootings by police occurred following Brown’s death, and the “Hands up, don’t shoot” came to symbolize the need to hold law enforcement accountable. And the DOJ report on Ferguson Police Department confirmed the agency systemically profiled black residents.
In other words: "Sorry about the lie, folks, but it was more important for us to convey the liberal meme of the day than to strictly adhere to the truth. And the Holder DOJ backed us up by producing a report generically smearing the Ferguson cops, if not the cop who committed the actual deed."

Which is not to say that "Hands up, don't shoot" is still not an important concept. Why just a few days ago three bored basketball players in Philadelphia, who might have looked liked Barack Obama's sons, if he had any sons, killed an innocent man walking his dog in an attempted robbery:

Teen, Suspected of Pulling Trigger in Murder of Man Walking Dog in Overbrook, Surrenders
The three Overbrook boys, armed with a gun and fresh from a game of basketball, searched for their target, police said.

It was 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12. The boys - ages 14, 15, and 15 - first eyed a man and his dog.

Then Jim Stuhlman appeared on the 6400 block of Woodcrest Avenue with his labradoodle, Molly.

Stuhlman, 51, was older than the first man. And Molly, the boys later told police, looked "weak or soft."

There was a brief struggle. Stuhlman, married and the father of a young daughter, pleaded for his life. He was shot once in the chest. The boys panicked and left Stuhlman's belongings on his mortally wounded body.

"Nothing," said Philadelphia Police Capt. James Clark. "Nothing was taken, which makes this even more senseless and even more troubling. Nothing was taken at all, and he lost his life."
Interesting the that police captain would have preferred the robbery aspect of the crime have been more successful.

Rev. Al Sharpton and his portable mob of protesters have not been seen in the area.

Two Ferguson Policeman Shot in Mostly Peaceful Protest

2 Officers Are Shot Amid Protests Outside Ferguson Police Station
Two police officers were shot here early Thursday morning as gunfire rang out in front of the police station, throwing into panic what had been a spirited — and at times tense — but largely peaceful night of protests.

Demonstrators and police officers alike hit the ground when the gunshots echoed through the crisp air. Many people ran for cover. The police, clad in riot gear, dragged their wounded fellow officers to safety. Others crouched behind cars and walls, drawing their handguns or rifles as they rapidly swiveled their heads every which way to survey their surroundings.

One officer, from the St. Louis County Police Department, was shot in the shoulder, and the other, from the suburban Webster Groves department, was shot in the face. Both were in serious condition, but their injuries were not life threatening, said Sgt. Brian Schellman, a spokesman for the St. Louis County police.

The shots, which witnesses said they believed originated from the top of a hill about 220 yards directly across from the station, came just hours after the Ferguson police chief, Thomas Jackson, announced that he would resign, a move greeted with praise from protesters. Chief Jackson had been at the center of criticism that he ran a racially biased department ever since one of his white officers fatally shot Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager seven months ago.
Thanks, Mr. Holder, for helping to keep this situation in turmoil.

The Protruding Nail Attracts the Hammer. . .

An ancient Japanese proverb. Two different incident expose the media's propensity to attack ordinary citizens for their politics.

First, from Stacy McCain: Well, This Happened
Readers may recall @HollyRFisher as the mom whose Facebook image holding a Chick-fil-A iced tea in front of Hobby Lobby made liberals’ heads explode in July 2014. Her stand for religious freedom made her the target of rape threats from “tolerant” liberals, and conservatives responded with the #IStandWithHolly campaign.

She was soon appearing on national TV as a conservative heroine. Suddenly being thrown into the spotlight was apparently a disorienting experience that nearly destroyed her family. Her personal problems were entirely private, however, until somebody decided that gossip should benews. For reasons known only to himself, Chuck Johnson of GotNews.com applied his skills as an investigative reporter to expose Mrs. Fisher’s affair with a videographer named Joel Frewa.

Really, Chuck? Was this necessary? Did this serve any legitimate journalistic purpose? At a certain level, I can understand the logic here. Democrats are the party of lies and perversion and, as antagonists of such evil, conservative journalists are quite eager to report the typical Democrat behavior of Bill Clinton, Eliot Spitzer, Anthony Weiner, Terry Bean, Joe Morrissey, et al. So when we become aware of Republicans behaving like Democrats, conservative journalists are thrown onto the horns of a dilemma, faced with two choices:

Do we report the story?

or

Do we ignore it, cross our fingers and hope that the misbehavior of these Republicans doesn’t turn into a damaging scandal?

The answer is almost always Number Two, and we sometimes feel like awful hypocrites for staying silent. More than once, I’ve become aware of shady behavior by people on “our side” and kept it to myself, only to see the scandalous truth subsequently blazoned in headlines at Politico or some other liberal outlet. Well, OK, this is how the partisan game is played: Liberals expose Republican scandals and conservatives expose Democrat scandals, and it is not my job to help liberals do their work.

Is that cynical? Sure, but a certain amount of cynicism is necessary to be able to maintain your sanity in this crazy business. . .
And now, the other side. Remember those protesters who shut down the I93 in Boston and blocked the ambulance from reaching the hospital.  Reporters from WBZ Boston used their arrest records to track them down to their (parents) houses and try to confront them. They were mostly living in their parents basement, and were not happy to face the press:

As for Holly, she seems to have reconciled with her husband.

Would Anyone Have Noticed if Boston.com Fired an Editor”

A Boston.com associate editor who wrote an article making fun of death threats against House Speaker John Boehner has been fired.

Reached by phone today, Victor Paul Alvarez told the Herald, “Why not comment on the truth? Yes, I have been fired. That’s my comment.”

Alvarez, who posted a photo of the underside of a bus on Twitter earlier today, declined further comment.

His article, which was posted prominently on the website’s homepage “Top News” section for about 12 hours, was headlined: “Would Anyone Have Noticed if Bartender Succeeded in Poisoning John Boehner?”

“The question is: Would anyone have noticed? Stories about Boehner’s drinking have circulated for years. His drinking inspired a blog called DrunkBoehner, and in 2010 he brought booze back to Washington,” the article read. “Had he been poisoned as planned, perhaps his pickled liver could have filtered out the toxins.”
I'm sure this will be a short interval of unemployment. With insightful comments like that, I'm sure he'll find a place at Media Matters or a similar "news" organization shortly.

In other Boston news, fat white female protesters blocked an ambulance carrying a sick man to the hospital in protest of the Ferguson grand jury decisions, forcing the ambulance to go to another hospital, taking more life saving time.
A release sent out by a group claiming to be the organizers of the sit-in said it was designed to protest racial injustice.
“Activists have shut down Interstate 93 Southbound and Northbound during morning rush hour commute into Boston to ‘disrupt business as usual’ and protest police and state violence against Black people,” states the release.
I guess we can be grateful it wasn't a nude protest.

The daughter of the man rerouted was not impressed with their sense of injustice:
A beloved 83-year-old West Bridgewater grandfather has been left with spinal fractures and broken ribs after his ambulance had to be diverted around yesterday’s protest on Interstate 93, his daughter said, describing herself as “livid.”

“I understand your plight, but it’s moronic to put other people’s lives and public safety in jeopardy,” Nadine McGrath, daughter of Richard McGrath, told the Herald. “I’m just so angry. I’m livid. You’re protesting police brutality and people losing their lives but you’re willing to take other people’s lives to prove a point? That just doesn’t make any sense.”
Boston commentator Howie Carr called them terrorists:
This was a terrorist attack — on the working people of Boston, by non-working blow-in drifters, losers and knuckleheads.

Wombat's Monday News Fodder

A few morsels from today's "Live at Five: 12.22.14"

Two NYPD Officers Ambushed, Killed - I already covered this yesterday, but DeBlasio is now backing off his attacks on the NYPD who dissed him by turning their backs on him at a news conference. The left is worried that this will muddle their narrative. The right should make sure of it.

Florida Officer Killed In Weekend’s Third Murder Of Police: Officer Kondek shot, then run over by criminal attempting to avoid arrest - Is this a result of Ferguson/New York related anti-police protests?  Maybe, maybe not. But they certainly didn't help.

Satanists Mount Holiday Display With Little Fanfare - Ignore the silly little devil worshipers. That will piss them off the most.

Christie Tells Obama to Demand Return Of Cop-Killer Chesimard To Start Cuba Talks - There are a lot of things that need to be cleared up with Cuba before we start swapping spit with them. Their political prisoners, and their protection of US criminals are high on the list. Kudos to Christie for keeping that up front and center.

US Asking For Chicoms’ Help With Sony Hack? - Who do you think taught the Norks how to hack?

Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell, It’s Another Girl! - Another Social Security supporter among previous Rule 5 girls.

Wisconsin Government Accountability Board Agents Continued Partisan Probe In Defiance Of Judges - For continuing coverage of the amazingly lawless persecution of conservatives in Wisconsin, you need to see Althouse, who covers it routinely.  Her point on this one was that people trying to enforce the letter of the law, had better be prepared to abide by it:
The GAB is enforcing the letter of the law on its targets. You cannot defend them by saying but they are good people who mean well and who never departed from the spirit of the law. Sticklers must be judged by stickler standards.
Saudis Won’t Cut Oil Output - The quicker you run out the better.

Conservatives4Palin: Former NYPD Commissioner Bernie Kerik – DiBlasio And Sharpton Have Blood On Their Hands - It's not a sure thing that  Ismaaiyl Brinsley would not have killed police officers in Baltimore after killing his girlfriend, but in the absence of the ruckus over Garner it's dubious he would have bothered to go to New York to do it.

Protein Wisdom: “Lena Dunham, Al Sharpton, Eric Holder, And The New Barbarism” - For 100, Alex What are three dangers to civilization and their common goal.

Mandy Rice-Davies
Mark Steyn: He Would, Wouldn’t He? - Mandy Rice-Davies, a "figure" in the Profumo scandal which toppled the McMillan government in the UK back in 1963 has died.
The face of Britain's protean sex scandal was her flatmate Christine Keeler, a more fragile beauty, but Mandy was its voice - the only one among the dramatis personae who seemed to be having a grand old time as the cameras clicked and the hacks barked. She provided almost all the memorable soundbites, commencing with her assertion that she was the Lady Hamilton de nos jours and continuing through to her scornful retort in court to the news that Lord Astor had denied sleeping with her: "Well, he would, wouldn't he?"
Weasel Zippers: You Knew It Was Coming – Cop Killer Had “A Troubled Childhood” - Duh, He was from Baltimore.

Friday News from the Wombat

Some of the more interesting (to me) events gleaned from Wombat-socho's "Live at FiveSeven: 12.19.14".

Evidence In Sony Hack Suggests Possible Involvement By Iran, Chicoms, Russia - As Henry Kissinger has been reported to say of the Iran-Iraq War, it's too bad that both sides can't lose. I suppose that even though Sony is a Japanese corporation we have to consider them part of the home team and root for them, sort of like the Redskins. But it shows that we really need to shore up our cyber defenses.

Obama Bets On More Cigars To Win Over Congress On Cuban Embargo - I don't care too much about Cuba. I was in 6th grade during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and I remember when we cared enough to risk nuclear holocaust over them. But I think it's highly amusing that liberals, like say, Shepard Smith, are worrying that we might commercialize and "de-authenticate" the Cubans by bringing them McDonalds and Lowes.  They's actually need cash to have a McDonalds or a Lowes.
Ashlee Simpson
Ashleee Simpson Pregnant With Second Child - You know this is just an excuse, don't you? But still, another person to pay social security in 20 years.

What You Missed At Vladimir Putin’s Bizarre News Conference: Protests, a stuffed crocodile, and a bear in the woods - Too bad Femen wasn't there with some topless women, too.

Colorado Vows To Defend Legal Pot Against Neighboring States - Dude,  mellow out. This is some gooood shit!

Jennifer Aniston “Cranky And Irritable” When She Stopped Exercising - Yeah, exercise is good for you. That's why we all hate it.

EPA To Issue Guidelines On Handling, Storage Of Coal Ash - If you've ever stood on a mountain of coal ash that used to be a valley, like I have, you'd know that coal ash is a real problem. I would prefer an energy mix with a lot more natural gas and nuclear and less coal, but in the meantime, we need to deal with this.  My modest proposal, send everybody their own share of fly ash calculated by the utility that sends them the power. When the dump truck drives up and dumps several tons of that crap on your lawn, you'd be more inspired to seek a solution.

Old                                             New
Marvel Gives Spider-Woman A Modern Makeover - Looks like she got a breast reduction too, which makes sense for swinging around on webs.

$10 Billion UN-Linked Climate Change Fund Wants Immunity From Prosecution - What could they possibly fear from prosecution? Sounds like someone needs to investigate.

Obama Sets Up Commission To Improve Police-Community Relations - I think we can confidently predict that this will make them worse.

Madonna: Unfinished Album Leak “Artistic Rape” - Trying desperately to cash in on the rape controversy.

American Power: Transgender Movement Upends Feminism At Womens’ Colleges - As someone said, "For the last thirty years I have been claiming to be a lesbian trapped in a man's body. - It used to be funny."

Joe For America: Michelle Obama – Short People Are Racist - Who hasn't been asked for help in a store?
The Gateway Pundit: Second Major Chain Store Shuts Down In Ferguson - Nose, face.

The Lonely Conservative: No Recession For Government Bureaucrats

Weasel Zippers: “Fast And Furious” Gun Used In Phoenix Apartment Shooting

Around the World with the Wombat

A quick survey of Wombat-socho's "Live at Five: 12.01.14" for any exciting news.

Nope. none. . . . OK, just kidding:

Obama To Meddle Further In Ferguson Mess: Cabinet meeting will review DoD programs that provide military equipment to police - I haven't said much about Ferguson, mostly because I'm so disgusted with the behavior of almost everyone involved. I was 14 when the Watts Riots broke out in Los Angeles. It's quite clear that as a nation we have made enormous progress in providing minorities with equal rights under the law, but that has done little or nothing to ease racial tensions, and in fact has probably made the situation worse. But you have to admit, Ferguson makes a pretty good case for why small town cops might need MRAPs.

Hundreds Turn Out For Traficant Memorial Service Did they all wear the ceremonial orange jumpsuit and hairpieces? He rolled a farm tractor over on himself. Ugh.

Obamacare Small Business Site Opens To Weak Interest  - I guess this will have to pass as the almost daily Obamacare Shadenfreude. A quote:
The Post also reported that insurers are having trouble accessing their accounts on the site and are not appearing in the system's master lists of professionals available to advise small businesses. The paper reported, citing confidential federal documents, that parts of the online marketplace are still being tested. CMS spokesman Aaron Albright claimed that the sections of the site needed to explore and select health plans has been "thoroughly tested."
Another repeat of last year's computer debacle? This was the section of the law that the Preznit decided to delay a year? It doesn't seem like they took the extra time to bother to get it right.

Asian Crude Plunges As OPEC Refuses To Cut Production: WTI $64.60, Brent $68.31 - As I have said previously, I don't really mind OPEC and Russia trying to keep prices so low it keeps some shale from being profitable. Think of it as a strategic reserve we don't have to pay the federal government to maintain. And their plan may be working: Falling Oil Prices Just Put Two Major U.S. Shale Basins in the Red

"I'll take a case"
Girl Scout Cookie Online Sales Okayed - Samoas and Tagalongs without the guilt trip? That'll never work.

PNC Reveals Cost Of “Twelve Days Of Christmas” Gifts In Today’s Economy  - Only 27k ish, because those nasty Republicans held the minimum wage down (5 maids a-milking). Seems like a bargain.

Roku? Chromecast? Fire TV? Which Streaming Stick Is Right For You? - Been thinking about it but basic cable seems to keep us content 90% of the time.

Study: Social Media Misused By Researchers
In a paper published in the current issue of Science, computer scientists Derek Ruths and Jürgen Pfeffer of Carnegie Mellon outline a number of problems with academia's current usage of social media data to study human behavior.

These days, "thousands of research papers each year are now based on data gleaned from social media," so there are far-reaching implications to the poor methodology detailed by the researchers, Ruths told McGill University.

"Many of these papers are used to inform and justify decisions and investments among the public and in industry and government," he said.
Melanie Brown (Mel B)
I'm shocked, shocked to see science misused to fit government and business, aren't you?

Mel B (Scary Spice): “I Do Have A Big Ego, And I’m In Love With Myself” - I know you're also surpised to hear that a good looking, rich, talented woman would have a healthy ego. Doesn't she know she's supposed to be more self effacing?

Scarlet Johansson Weds In Secret Ceremony - Oh man, does this mean I'm out of the running? I'm always the last person to find out.

Snooki got married too. - Dodged a bullet there, I guess.

Bale tells Clooney to ‘stop whining’ - Always appropriate.

Iraq Graft Probe Finds 50,000 “Ghost Troops” So they learned a trick or two about governance from Washington DC?

Nigeria's Economy Challenged as U.S. Oil Exports Dry Up - Frack, baby frack. It's not that I hate the Nigerians, I just like us better.

Boko Haram Attacks Nigerian State Capital - But we should still help them make an example out of these guys.

Wombat-socho has the father of all Rule 5 posts, "Rule 5 Sunday: Ton O’ Luv" ready at The Other McCain.

Democrats to Flog Ferguson, Feminism into Fall Election

Justice Dept. to probe Ferguson police force
Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. this week will launch a broad civil rights investigation into the Ferguson, Mo., Police Department, according to two federal law enforcement officials.

The investigation, which could be announced as early as Thursday afternoon, will be conducted by the Justice Department’s civil rights division and follow a process similar to that used to investigate complaints of profiling and the use of excessive force in other police departments across the country, the officials said.

The move follows the shooting last month of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old African American, by a white Ferguson police officer who claimed he acted in self-defense. Brown, who was unarmed, was shot at least six times on the afternoon of Aug. 9.

Holder’s decision will represent the Obama administration’s most aggressive step to address the Ferguson shooting, which set off days of often-violent clashes between police and demonstrators in the streets of the St. Louis suburb.

The federal officials said the probe will look not only at Ferguson but also at other police departments in St. Louis County. Some, like Ferguson, are predominantly white departments serving majority-African-American communities, and at least one department invited the Justice Department to look at its practices. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the pending inquiry.
In a rational world, the troubles in Ferguson would be good anti-Democrat fodder for the news; the city of Ferguson, like its parent St. Louis, are Democratic strongholds. The city governments and police are controlled by the democratic machine, and the unions. Inequities there should be laid directly at their feet. But that's not where Eric Holder is going to take this investigation, you can be sure. No doubt he'll target the banks and retailers who provide what services they can to the community.

The democrats are desperate to hold the Senate, and inflaming their notoriously mid-term apathetic Negro, Black, African-American base when Obama is not on the ballot is the only way they see to get their base to the polls this November.

The same pattern is becoming evident with women. Single women vote predominantly Democrat and less in midterms, married women vote Republican, and vote more in the midterms. Hence we get:
Debbie Wasserman Schultz says: "Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand" and "What Republican tea party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back."

What does that even refer to? That's really shameless. The violent imagery is despicable, and disrespectful to victims of actual violence. Why bring in women'shair? It seems mental.
Yep, and expect even more.
