Flotsam and Jetsam - “Easy Like Sunday Morning”

It's kind of a themeless Sunday morning, cleaning up debris from the week. Either that, or I did a less than thorough job of collecting links. In misc Trumpiania, Matt Vespa thinks This Image Says Everything About Trump's White House Correspondents' Association Dinner Speech. RedState's Nick Arama likes how Trump Delivers a Funny Joke About Nicki Minaj at the WHCD - She Drops a Humorous Reply. Pop Base @PopBase, “After hearing the gunshots, many people yelled ‘Get down!’ which caused Nicki Minaj to start twerking. Can you believe it? She’s the only one that really understood what that meant.”

At Hat Hair, Salena Zito has an American Dream: Trump, McCormick and Dimon Unveil a Massive Manufacturing Push in Pennsylvania. USTR Takes Action in Forced Labor Section 301 Investigations, raising tariffs on countries that allow imports of the products of slave labor. “President Trump recognizes that decades of moral suasion have not eradicated forced labor from global supply chains. The United States has had a forced labor import ban for nearly a century, and rigorously enforces it; it’s well past time for our trading partners to do the same.”

Sundance at CTH sees the Plot Thickens – New Jersey Data Contractor Says Noncitizens Registering to Vote Not Our Error, they deliberately registered noncitizens.

Switching gears to foreign affairs, sundance has President Trump Notes Europe’s Refusal to Accept Elimination of Marshall Plan – New EU Scheme to Fine U.S. Tech Companies, Zelenskyy Pledges to Share Exclusive Ukraine Satellite Intelligence to Assist NATO/USA in Defeating Iran and Canadian NATO Intern at Military HQ Arrested for Spying for China. At Am Con, The Fight Inside Trump’s State Department Is About Power—Not Expertise, "The president needs diplomats willing to advance his America First agenda."

I&I asks a rhetorical question, Why Are Dems Dodging Questions About The DSA’s Radical Platform? PJM's Matt Margolis sees Jessica Tarlov Thought She Was Schooling Her Co-Hosts. She Got Humiliated Instead. ""You've been calling every Democratic candidate for over a decade a socialist or communist," Tarlov said. Gutfeld wasn't having it. "The socialists are calling themselves socialists! We didn't name them the DSA," he said." Amy Curtis @RantyAmyCurtis, "We know Hollywood is filled with commies. Funny how they don’t redistribute their wealth to the rest of us." Quote Nicholas Fondacaro @NickFondacaro, "Actress Molly Ringwald whines about McCarthyism and defends the communist ideology. She tacitly admits that Hollywood is filled with communists."

From the Victory Girls, Jewish Democrats In Michigan Plan To Back Republican If El-Sayed Wins Primary. We've been waiting for the majority of Jews to wise up for a long time. Data Republican at Substack, explore Chinese infiltration of US politics, Apax Partners: The Money Linking Singham and the DNC, "Apax Partners, Neville Roy Singham, and the sovereign investors surrounding the DNC’s most important political database." "Apax Partners’ management company — the entity that sits above every fund, including the one holding Democratic campaign infrastructure — counts China’s CIC and Singapore’s GIC among its owners. CIC is subject to China’s 2017 National Intelligence Law, which requires all organizations to “support, assist, and cooperate with national intelligence work.” GIC’s board is chaired by Singapore’s sitting Prime Minister, who also oversees the country’s intelligence services."

At Da Wire, Rubio Lays Down ‘Trump’s Law’ In 5 Words When Asked About Iran, "They are suffering billions of dollars in damage, and their economy’s a disaster." "“I saw Araghchi, the [Iranian] Foreign Minister, the other day say something about their policy is ‘an eye for an eye,’” Rubio told reporters. “The president’s policy is ‘a head for an eye.’" Gary Anderson at Am Spec worries Our Generals Are Failing Us in Iran and elsewhere. "The U.S. military excels at tactics and technology but too often fails at operational art, strategic thinking, and developing bold leaders."

Althouse is especially interested in the protests in Madison after the death of Corey Ruiz after he stabbed a policeman in Madison, Wisconsin. "I just wanted to get to my house — that is it"/"We all just want to do something in this world." Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Opinions @jsonlinemkebs, "Madison protestors have now shut down the main drag entering in and out of Madison's East side. Shutting this road down would delay first responders significantly if they were responding to a medical emergency. This is lawlessness and is putting innocent lives in danger." "The protesters are not just expressing themselves but demanding that other people stop living their lives freely and become one with the protest." And "The Dane County Farmers’ Market will still take place Saturday morning on the Capitol Square, though organizers say the market 'will look different.'" "'It is not a celebration of local food, but a space where everyone can find food grown in their community to sustain themselves and be together,' the market said in a social media post.... That's from "'My family needs justice': Relatives of Corey Ruiz speak out for first time since police shooting/Family members spoke at press event with civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who previously represented George Floyd's family" (WPR)." Stacy McCain covers the Criminal Carnival in Madison, Wisconsin. "Amy Curtis: “If you don’t know Wisconsin, let me explain that Madison is so left-wing it flies in circles.” Indeed."

At Coffee and Covid News, "You had to scroll all the way down this morning’s New York Times web page to find it, but the story reported, “Hawaii Lt. Gov. Is Indicted in Corruption Investigation.” The short article is almost mind-numbingly boring, packed with passive-tense, soft verbs, and a distinct absence of outrage. Maybe the reserved tone was because the indictments were more Democrats, including the highest-ranking Democrat official under indictment yet."

This leads us to a larger point about Trump 2.0’s Department of Justice. While many in the MAGA base are still spreading “waiting for someone to get arrested” memes, high-profile, state-level arrests are happening all over the country.

How? The Trump administration systematically dismantled the so-called “ethical” gatekeepers in D.C. The DOJ’s Public Integrity Section —which historically acted as a brake and a bottleneck, protecting favored politicians and shutting down local investigations— was slashed from 36 lawyers down to just two. The long-standing requirement that local prosecutors consult with D.C. before indicting any local political figures was suspended.

By removing the federal roadblock, the Trump DOJ effectively unleashed state-level corruption prosecutions. The Hawaii case, for example, is being prosecuted by the state Attorney General’s Special Investigation and Prosecution Division, using evidence provided by the feds.

Leslie Eastman at LI is gratified Trump Demands Review of ‘Reference Manual on Scientific Evidence’ Used by Federal Judges, "Meanwhile, the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology investigates the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) over its stewardship of this nation’s scientific efforts." Conquest's Second Law: Any organization not explicitly and constitutionally right-wing will sooner or later become left-wing. With Fritz's addendum, "With explicitly right-wing organization, it takes a little longer."

From Twitchy, Convicted Murderer Karmelo Anthony Seeks a New Trial, Claims Judge Was Biased, a routine procedural step. Jay Rogers at TownHall thinks The Carroll Case Still Deserves a Second Look, it didn't even make sense as fiction.

At Twitchy, Judges Enter Orders Preventing DHS From Terminating TPS for Ethiopia, South Sudan , despite the Supreme Court telling them, more or less directly, to cut that shit out. John Hinderacker at Power Line, compares Trump’s Success, and AI’s Bias on immigration. "My colleague David Zimmer dug into the data to assess the success of President Trump’s immigration policies. He found them to be very successful, indeed:... I thought I’d put AI to the test to see what its response would be regarding the data I presented above. It responded twice that I was misrepresenting the data relevant to both the number and percentage of illegal aliens detained who had either a criminal history or pending criminal charge. AI referenced the CATO Institute and the Migration Policy Institute as source documents for refuting my conclusions. I then provided the link to the DHS raw data and asked AI to calculate the figures and get back to me. Here’s AI’s response – I’ll take the win!..."

From Shooting News Week, Congress Moving to Block Gun Purchase Tracking Causes a Major Media Meltdown, but then, they melt down over nearly everything.

Sundance reports a Terrorist Attack at Berlin Gay Pride Event. Those damn white sup.... oh wait, Yashar Ali @yashar, "BREAKING via AP Berlin police say they have identified a suspect with ties to Islamic extremist circles after a van plowed into crowds at the city’s major LGBTQ celebration Saturday night. The suspect, who is known to police, remains at large as authorities conduct an intensive search. One person was killed and at least 16 others were injured."

From Michael Shellenberger at Public News, Radicalization Of Universities Behind Smithsonian’s Attack On History And Biological Reality "If museums continue to refuse to reform themselves, Congress should cut their funding." Flotsam and Jetsam - What The He!! is John Thune Doing?

TownHall's Matt Vespa wonders What Is John Thune Doing? As little as possible, and obstructing House Republicans when he has the chance. "Now, with government spending back on the agenda and us set to run out of money on September 30, you once again disregard House Republicans, adding that you’ll pass your own continuing resolution with Democrats. John, THEY WANT A SHUTDOWN. Are you blind, deaf, and dumb?" Also, Speaker Johnson Had a Legislative Hat Trick Today While Thune Wants to Sell Out to Dems. Jen O'Connell at RedState, John Thune Just Stabbed Mike Johnson—and House Republicans—in the Back. I think it was in the front.

Amy Curtis at TownHall likes how Scott Jennings Humiliated a CNN Panel Following Revelations of New Jersey Voter Fraud. Nick Sortor @nicksortor, " HOLY CRAP! The identity services provider New Jersey uses at the DMV is FIRING BACK at Gov. Sherrill, saying the NJ DIVISION OF ELECTIONS were the ones who registered 6,600 foreign voters This was NOT a “software error.” This is a SCANDAL. “IDEMIA's role is to transmit information through the motor vehicle system. The voter registration information is transmitted to the New Jersey Department of State, Division of Elections, which is ultimately responsible for verifying eligibility to vote. Information submitted by IDEMIA must still be validated and adjudicated by the Division of Elections.” So the Division of Elections MANUALLY APPROVED over SIX THOUSAND foreigners to vote. They were not automatically registered by the software provider as the governor claimed. Time to come clean, @GovSherrillNJ!" From Ace, Software Firm at Center of NJ's Illegal Alien Voting Scandal: There Was No "Glitch," Our Softward Did Exactly What NJ Wanted It To Do. 1. Foreigners never vote in our elections. 2. A few foreigners vote in our elections, but it's not a problem. 3. Foreigners do and should vote in our elections. Democrats are at #2. NewBusters notices The View Claims No Election Has Ever Been Stolen Before Trump Speech.

At PJM, VodkaPundit envisions Puting passing the hat, Buddy, Can You Spare 1.5 Trillion Rubles? "that's exactly what happened last week when the Kremlin attempted to sell OFZs (like U.S. Treasuries), but buyers said Nyet! so hard that "Russia’s Finance Ministry pulled the plug" on bond auctions until further notice, Crypto Briefing and others reported this week." Sundance at CTH admits befuddlement as Zelenskyy Removes and Replaces Leading Military Officials "None of these moves by Ukraine President Zelenskyy make any sense against the background story of them having incredible success against Russia. You don’t replace the entire military leadership apparatus if things are going swimmingly." So Ukrainian politics are probably at play. He also hosts Promethean Action PAC Reviews Motive of Canada -vs- USA on Trade and Tariffs.

Sarah at Insty says I DON’T TRUST ANY NUMBERS THESE DAYS. HOW MANY OF THESE ARE ON THE GIG ECONOMY? "Shocking 105 million Americans are not working – more than during COVID or the Great Recession. They’d probably count me in this."

Capt. Ed at Hat Hair, Trump: Bridge and Power Day Has Arrived If Iran Attacks Shipping. John Hinderacker at Power Line approves of Trump’s New Iran Policy. Ace, Trump: Every Time Iran Fires on a Ship, We Will Destroy One Bridge or Power Plant, make that two. wretchardthecat @wretchardthecat, "Eleven days into the US strikes on Iran the targets appear to be: 1. Iranian coastal targets; 2. Probable command and control centers and weapons sites. There isn't enough publicly available information to infer an implied purpose to these attacks. However their very anonymity suggests the targets are not symbolic, but rather obscure installations with an unpublicized military value. It would make sense but only if we had the secret map, which alas, we do not." Northern Barbarian @xnoesbueno, "Douche reporter got owned attempting a gotcha." Quote "Eric Daugherty @EricLDaugh, "JUST NOW — REPORTER: What will you say to the families today of the fallen troops? PRESIDENT TRUMP: "We love you. We love your child. That's what they are to them — their children. There's no games, no nothing. That's their child. All you can do is throw out your heart." PJM's Rick Moran appreciates The Exact Moment the Gates of Hell Opened for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

It concerns Jonathan Turley that Democrats Dismiss Our Constitutional Traditions as ‘Nostalgia’. Katya Sedgewick at the Everyman Commentary examines The DSA's Plan to Remake America. "In light of recent victories in New York by Democratic Socialists, it is important to appreciate how they are not shy about wanting to eradicate and remake our current government institutions." Sasha Stone has a short take on how The Democrats Have a Communist Problem. End Wokeness @EndWokeness, "Hasan Piker framed the 9/11 front page This is an enemy of America." Jonah Goldberg @JonahDispatch, "Okay. I can accept this. If “The Nazi propaganda starts when people say Mao is worse than Hitler” as you say, then it’s not propagandistic to say that Mao was merely almost as bad as Hitler. Now, I think the “which genocidal murderer was the worst” game can get pretty stupid, because people often seem to think that coming in second or third to Hitler absolves mass murderers of any condemnation. ... Quote evan loves worf @esjesjes, Replying to @ProjectLiberal. "First of all you should look up the definition of genocide. Second of all the Great Leap Forward maybe killed around 40 million largely by accident. The Nazis killed like 55 million very much on purpose. The Nazi propaganda starts when people say Mao is worse than Hitler." Then Readers added context, "The 55 million figure represents total global casualties in WWII, not people killed directly and intentionally by the Nazi regime. Scholars estimate that victims of the Holocaust and Nazi persecution numbered around 11 to 17 million." Dave Bernstein at the Volokh explores How Did Support for International Humanitarian Law and Norms Morph into Support for Hamas and its Goals? Hat Hair's John Sexton reads the Slantic: 'The DSA Is a Parasite' and Someone Should Say So. Dan McLaughlin @baseballcrank, "Karl Marx & Frederick Douglass were both born in 1818. Marx grew up in comfort, Douglass in chains. Marx thought the world owed him more comfort; Douglass only demanded liberty, & he'd do the rest." Quote Ben Shapiro @benshapiro, "Unsurprising. The most resentful people in the US are those who believe they are owed everything and fail; the least resentful are those who were given nothing and achieve." Capt. Ed says Platner, Mamdani, Talarico, and Now AOC: Scratch a Commie, Find a Mommy paying the bills. Geiger Capital @Geiger_Capital, "MSNBC host accidentally nails it… The far-left is driven by over-educated failures who can’t succeed in the real world, which is why they overwhelmingly hide in academia, NGOs and push socialism." Quote Chris Hayes @chrislhayes Replying to @NateSilver538, "The most left wing people in America are people with post graduate degrees who are financially strapped and the most right wing are people without 4 year college degrees who are rich." Spencer Pratt @spencerpratt, "As I’ve said…the socialist trend is for privileged dorks with enough family wealth to squander a decade as a perma-student, but not enough talent to actually achieve anything. Educated beyond their intelligence." Quote Nate Silver @NateSilver538 "Income and education are usually positively correlated. But sometimes the relationship breaks down. What's the most Democratic voting group in America? People with post-graduate degrees but lower-to-middle incomes."

From Da Wire, The Islamist-Marxist Takeover Of Middle America. "El-Sayed is the inevitable political result of Michigan’s multi-decade experiment with mass Muslim immigration." Jim Geraghty at NRO hears Mamdani Finally Admits He Can’t Arrest Bibi. Noam Blum @neontaster, "I get why Mamdani thought becoming mayor made him the generalisimo president of New York. Growing up in a fancy Ugandan compound with its own private militia will do that to a person." Dr. Maalouf @realMaalouf, "Shocking data reveals: 95% of Zohran Mamdani’s engagement comes from foreign, mostly Islamic nations. 60% from Pakistan alone. Flotsam and Jetsam - Sen. Lindsey Graham Dead at 71

At Fox, Sen. Lindsey Graham dead at 71 after 'brief and sudden' illness, office says, "The longtime politician had served as a US senator for South Carolina since 2003." Ah yes, the Reagan revolution. I vaguely remember. Insty says R.I.P. LINDSEY GRAHAM: "He has his fans and detractors, but for me his best moment was his insouciant response to being followed by shrieking harridans during the Kavanaugh confirmation." Althouse says Goodbye to Lindsey Graham. ""Lindsey Graham, longtime senator from South Carolina, dies at 71/Graham, a staunch Trump ally and key GOP foreign policy voice, was running for reelection this year. He died of a 'brief and sudden illness,' his office said" (WaPo)(gift link)." Long time commenter Shouting Thomas said... "Conspiracy theorists on X already have a handle on this. Graham was poisoned by Russia during his recent trip to Ukraine! And, in the telephone game of social media, that has now transitioned from a crazy theory to a verified fact… because people further up the call chain already claimed it. So, it’s verified!" Hat Hair's Stephen Moore has the sads that JD Vance Takes on Milton Friedman "If you turn economic development (i.e., prosperity) into a sort of idol, then you end up sacrificing a lot of the things that matter most." "American economic policy on the right is now much more Alexander Hamilton than it is Milton Friedman. I think that's obviously a good thing." Milton understood the economy better, but he really didn't care about the workers. Breitbart Bus Dig, The First Half of 2026 Saw Lowest Level of Jobless Claims Since 1969.

Flotsam and Jetsam - Hot Summer Day

And the country is getting ready for its 250th birthday tomorrow. The Victory Girls say Dear Democrats: Our National Party is Still On — Shut Up and STAY HOME and note Independence Day Gone Woke In San Diego County, California. Sounds like a blast! Beege Welborn at Hat Hair notes Anti-Trump States Wouldn't Fix Up Booths for the Fair - PA AMERICANs Took Matters Into Their Own Hands. Sore losers. Dr. Suneel Dhand's Newsletter gives 10 Reasons I'm PROUD to Be an American, "I left Britain and have been a citizen for over 10 years. Best thing I've ever done. An honest reflection this special July 4th." OTH, Hat Hair's John Sexton reports Man Charged with Felony for Damaging Reflecting Pool. "David Hearn, 67, of Maryland faces one felony count of destruction of property tied to a June 19 incident in which National Park Service employees say they caught him trying to rip a portion of sealant from the pool’s bottom. The charge carries a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison." It's DC, he won't be convicted. And at WaEx, Airman arrested during Capitol Hill protest urging Trump and Vance’s impeachment. "A Capitol Police spokesperson confirmed Watson’s arrest, noting that there are spots on Capitol Grounds where demonstrating is permitted, but “it is generally against the law for the public to demonstrate on the House Steps unless they are with a Member of Congress.” “Yesterday afternoon, a man was escorted to the House Steps by a Member of Congress,” the spokesperson told the Washington Examiner. “When the Member of Congress left the area, our officers gave the man lawful orders to stop the illegal demonstration or he would be arrested. The man refused our lawful orders. Jason Watson was then arrested for 22-1307 Crowding, Obstructing, and Incommoding.”" So he wasn't arrested for his speech denouncing Trump, he was arrested for unlawful conduct at the Capital, like the J6ers. I'm sure Pete Hegseth has plenty of grounds to toss him out of the Air Force, though. A Larry vid at Hat Hair says This Was All Trump Needed. They're Gonna Regret It.

At the Buckeye Firearms Assoc, Trump reiterates support for national right-to-carry reciprocity. As a fairly liberal New Yorker, I suspect Trump personally doesn't fell strongly pro-gun, but he knows his coalition. Mary Chastain is pleased to report the Energy Dept. is Moving to Drop ‘Green New Scam’ Appliance Mandates. "Thank you. THANK YOU. Make it happen!"

Hat Hair's Capt. Ed is worried that the US Adds Only 57,000 Jobs in June As Workforce Deflates. I gave up trying to make sense out of job numbers a while ago. The methodology is shitty, and manipulative. I also wonder how much of this is due to the ongoing self-deportation of illegals. The Wall Street Journal thinks it is.

Jenna’s Side is America Doesn't Have a Socialist Problem—We Have an Apathy Problem. "And apathy is how tiny, terrifying, highly motivated minorities end up running cities." At Hat Hair Dave Strom thinks Socialism in the West is Ignorance, Unearned Wealth, and Resentment,  Yes, The DSA Is a Communist Organization and Beege Welborn adds Commie Mamdani's Pied-à-Terre Billionaire Tax Attack Began Yesterday. Althouse notes "The DSA, in fact, seems to despise the Democratic Party. Darializa Avila Chevalier has called Joe Biden a 'rapist' and wrote 'Fuck Kamala Harris'...", ""... on social media. She proceeded to be nominated for a House race in New York last week by Democratic voters who presumably do not all share those feelings."  At Reason Kennedy recalls New York's Socialist Experiment Already Failed Once "Will Mamdani break New York City?" Leslie Eastman at LI hears NYC Mayor Mamdani’s Recommendation for ’78 Degrees’ Met with Frosty Reception. "The responses to his “78 degrees” suggestion included references to France and New York’s embrace of “Green Energy”." Capt. Ed hears from Fetterman: The One Thing That Would Force Me Out Of My Party Is ... being anti-Israel. Aren't we there already? Dave Strom thinks it might be AOC vs Vance?

Eric at Security and Cigars, explains Why Wolford Should Worry Big Gov Fans More Than Slaughter. "SCOTUS has now made clear that states and cities cannot simply designate broad categories of private property as “sensitive” and thereby ban the exercise of constitutional rights there. This has obvious and immediate implications for the Second Amendment, but it also reaches into First Amendment territory like speech, religion, and assembly. As well as many other rights protected by the Constitution." Charles C. W. Cooke @charlescwcooke, "Impressive ignorance. The unitary executive theory is about personnel; it confers no substantive powers on the executive branch that haven’t been delegated by Congress. The whole column is a bizarre non sequitur." Quote Dana Milbank @Milbank, "My latest column looks at how Democrats are drafting plans to to use the all-powerful, unitary executive that Trump has established (and the Roberts Court has blessed) to launch a new Progressive Era, in which a Democratic president imposes by executive fiat government-run health." At Da Caller, Clarence Thomas Laughs As MS NOW Reporter Barrages Him With Questions. Althouse says I don't believe Nina Totenberg's explanation for why she reported that Justice Alito was retiring. "I'm reading "'I am so, so sorry': NPR reporter explains SCOTUS retirement error" (CNN): "Say what really happened, " and "Democrats stopped talking about trans politics long before the court’s ruling this week." ""In June, which is L.G.B.T.Q. Pride month, no Democratic candidate mentioned the word 'transgender' in their TV ads, according to data from AdImpact, a media tracking firm. Their silence may be an attempt to deprive Republicans of campaign-trail ammunition.... A New York Times/Ipsos poll conducted in January 2025 showed that nearly 80 percent of Americans opposed allowing transgender athletes to participate in women’s sports...." At substact Insty recommends Ditching the Seventeenth. Gina Milan @ginamilan_ "Ruh Rho" Quote Paul Sperry @paulsperry_, "BREAKING: Here's the just-filed NLPC bar complaint against NY attorney Roberta Ann Kaplan. The basis for the complaint is that Kaplan failed to inform Trump’s lawyers + the court when she knew her client E. Jean Carroll provided false testimony by denying outside funding for her."

TownHall's Amy Curtis reports More Antifa Terrorists Were Just Sentenced in Texas "Antifa and their Leftist allies in the Democratic Party were not happy about these sentences. They really believed they were above the law, and are threatening the federal judges who put their comrades behind bars." Bob Spencer at PJM says Bravo: DeSantis Officially Calls Antifa and CAIR What They Really Are, terrorists.

Dave Strom takes a look at The Immigrants Who Hate America. Libs of TikTok @libsoftiktok, "BREAKING: The Somali flag flying over Buffalo City Hall has been reportedly STOLEN just hours after it was raised. Buffalo's Democrat Mayor Sean Ryan, claims that individuals cut the cable in the middle of the night and took the flag down. He then goes on a rant about "diversity." Police are currently investigating, and no charges have been filed." At NYPo, Andy Arthur opines ABC’s ‘3% delusion’ on criminal migrants turns the law on its head "ABC’s statistic is real — of the 438,537 illegal immigrants detained in the administration’s first 14 months, 13,018 of them had been convicted of a crime like homicide or sexual assault in the US. Yet its conclusion is utterly wrong, ignoring the impact of the most significant immigration law Congress has enacted in years: the Laken Riley Act.  Americans should remember why Congress passed that law. Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student, was murdered in February 2024 by an illegal immigrant who had been apprehended for committing lesser offenses and released into the United States. Her vicious killing sparked outrage over a system that repeatedly ignored warning signs — until an innocent American paid the ultimate price." Dave Strom, Yes, The Activists Want to Protect Paedos From Deportation. Gov. Walz helped pardon a child rapist so he couldn't be deported. The feds may yet find a way. Visegrád 24 @visegrad24, "BREAKING British authorities have released the ringleader of a Rochdale grooming gang, Shabir Ahmed, from prison The Pakistani man was sentenced to 22 years for 30 child rape charges involving girls as young as 12. Flotsam and Jetsam - 2016: Punch a Nazi. 2026: No Not That one.

Graham Platner is still an ass, but before we go there Hat Hair's Capt. Ed says BOOM: Jobs Market Adds 172,000 Jobs in May, +93K in Revisions. From Ace, May Jobs Report "Unexpectedly" Smashes "Expert" "Expectations" "Good news. Not enough to reverse the public's sour impressions of the economy, I'm afraid. And inflation is still a problem." Dan Bongino @dbongino, "Amazing how President Trump’s opponents keep attributing this all to “luck.” As if lower taxes and reductions in government red tape had no role? Even if it were “luck,” I’d rather gamble with Trump than a communist Democrat." Quote RNC Research @RNCResearch, "President Trump more than DOUBLES expectations for the May jobs report CNBC: "172,000...that is a really strong number.""

The Washington Monument reflecting pool is now refilled, after being renovated by Donald Trump at a fraction of the cost the Biden regency had planned. The White House @WhiteHouse, "The water is ON, the Reflecting Pool is reflecting, and D.C. is looking better than ever. We are so back. THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP." Sister Toldja at RedState sees Newsom's tweet 'Didn't Age Well': Newsom's Press Office Gets Inconvenient Update About Trump's Reflecting Pool Project Rapid Response 47 @RapidResponse47, "One might wonder why Newscum's team would post something so idiotic, but it makes sense considering they've never actually seen a project completed. It's a foreign concept to them." Right Angle News Network @Rightanglenews, "A Democrat in DC says she hates she’s forced to admit the Reflecting Pool now looks good. “I thought it was a stupid idea to paint the Reflecting Pool, but it looks really good. It makes the reflection look extraordinarily prominent in a way it did not before, and I hate that.”" Suburban Black Man @niceblackdude, "President Trump isn't allowed to restore our fountains and monuments, or build stunning structures showcasing American craftsmanship, engineering, and architectural excellence. Apparently, government spending is only acceptable when it's funding drag queens, the Taliban, Somalian pirates, and the pockets of Ukrainian oligarchs." At Althouse I just wanted to get a look at the refilling of the newly blue Reflecting Pool. "But I couldn't avoid seeing this video, shared by Trump:"

Tim O'Brien at PJM, Karoline Leavitt Is Enjoying Motherhood, and the Left Is Having a Cow “Karoline Leavitt appears to be turning a blind eye to America's ongoing cost-of-living crisis and instead focusing on cooking with pricey ingredients,” the Mirror's Ellie Hook wrote. The article then goes on to provide in uncomfortable detail what’s in one of the food photos." Mike LaChance at LI notes New York Democrats Pass Legislation That Changes ‘Mother’ to ‘Gestating Parent’ “It’s an example of how out of tune the New York legislature is. It’s an unnecessary and wasteful use of time” Tap In Daily @the_tapindaily, "White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s announcement of her daughter Viviana’s birth on May 1st has unexpectedly triggered a diplomatic confrontation. While Leavitt shared the news as a joyful family milestone, the Consulate General of Iran issued a harsh response. The Iranian post claimed Viviana would eventually feel "shame" over her mother’s alleged involvement in the "massacre of children in Iran and Minab." This aggressive move, injecting geopolitical grievances into a personal celebration, has ignited a fierce online debate. Critics argue the response crosses a moral line, while others view it as a stark reflection of the deepening tensions between Washington and Tehran. At Althouse, Platner presents his weary face to the camera "Chris Hayes confronts Platner with the damaging accusations that the NYT published. He was, he say, "not a good boyfriend." He was "self-medicating with alcohol." It was a "pretty dark period' of his life." Matt Vespa, An Ex-Sanders Aide Noticed Something Odd About Graham Platner's MS Now Interview. Symone D. Sanders Townsend @SymoneDSanders, "Planter’s campaign did not deny the allegations about him getting physical to the New York Times, but Platner is repeatedly denying it on MS NOW. Why didn’t they deny it in the piece?" Hat Hair's Capt. EducatëdHillbilly™ @RobProvince, "2016: Punch a Nazi. 2026: No not that one." Quote Zaid Jilani @ZaidJilani, "FWIW I do think Platner figured out the tattoo sometime within the last 18 years but if he had it covered up five years ago the story would’ve been he’s trying to hide his Nazi past. The way he handled it was the best way to politically handle it." Twitchy calls it A Set-Up All ALONG: Lyndsey Fifield SHREDS The New York Times for Using Her Story to HELP Graham Platner. PJM's Matt Margolis, NYT Deliberately Withheld the Most Explosive Graham Platner Allegations From Its Own Story. Matt Vespa at TownHall, Well, the NYT Caved and Omitted This Serious Allegation Against Graham Platner. Saul Sadka @Saul_Sadka, "Cenk is right! Since when was the New York Times meant to report corroborated facts about Nazis who want to be senators? Their job is to report the real news, like how Jews train r-pe dogs and worked out how to starve kids with fat parents." Quote Cenk Uygur @cenkuygur, "I didn't know @nytimes was a gossip rag now. They hyped up this bullshit story against @grahamformaine and then delivered rumors from a relationship when he was in his 20's. They only found one who alleged anything. It was uncorroborated and she's a GOP operative. Come on." Ace, Catch and Kill: The New York Times Had Two Witnesses Prepared to Accuse Graham Platner of Sexual Assault but Didn't Publish Their Stories. "So there's the answer: Yes, there were "multiple women" accusing the Nazi of rape, but the New York Times ran a catch-and-kill operation to suppress their stories, while only reporting on less serious charges. (Though still serious enough.) In newspaper parlance, "catch and kill" is a technique for "getting" a story with the intent to suppress it." At the Victory Girls Dems And Media On Platner: Believe All Women UNLESS She’s A Republican. PoIiMath @politicalmath, "I'm teaching my daughters that feminists and liberal women will NOT support them if they are abused by a left-wing man with any power They will run the old familiar "you can't believe that bitch" playbook b/c, ultimately, they are religious zealots and their religion is politics." Quote Emma Vigeland @EmmaVigeland "Here's the chair of the Independent Women’s Forum, the right-wing group where Lyndsey Fifield is a fellow, bragging about helping draft Susan Collins's remarks when she voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh. Fifield is NYT's main source, and the only one alleging anything physical." Mark Hemingway @Heminator, "I would like to remind everyone that there is, to this day, no piece of evidence or testimony corroborating whether Bret Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford WERE EVER IN THE SAME ROOM. That was the number one story in America for months. The Platner story is much more robust." Quote Joe Wrote @joewrote Replying to @AltoidTopochico, "The Times states that they reviewed her texts and messages and read her diary. And they still couldn't corroborate it. Personally, if the story is "Heritage Foundation staffer says this happened," I don't think it should be printed." Eyal Yakoby @EYakoby, "Ro will be traveling to Maine tomorrow to actually campaign for Graham Platner. You quite literally cannot make this up." Nick Arama at RedState thinks a New Report on That Tattoo and What Platner Says Now Should Have Dems Very Concerned "When the pair dated years ago, Platner would call the tattoo “my Totenkopf,” Fifield alleged in the bombshell report. “I would never have known what that was,” she told the outlet. “He would joke about it being a Nazi tattoo.”" At Twitchy, Nazi-Tatted Nepo-Baby Just Delivered the Final Nail in #MeToo’s Coffin — And the Left Can’t Stop Cheering. James Lee Bright Law @JLBrightLaw, "All it took was a female abusing, Nazi tattooed, veteran hating, nepo baby fake oyster fishing, Porto potty masturbating, rape shaming dude from Maine to finally kill the MeToo movement. And surprise, surprise it was the Left that killed it in pursuit of power. Who’d a’ guessed?" #MeToo isn't dead; it's like a vampire waiting for fresh Republican blood to revive itself. (((Not That Crown, Maybe))) @CrownMaybe, "Here are things that might come out: 1. "I thought we were serious and he clearly wasn't." 2. "I introduced him to my family and we still broke up." 3. "He was an ass." Things that won't: "He locked me in a room for any length of time." "He manhandled me." "He scared me."" Quote Evan Barker @evanwch, "Every man out there (if they’re being honest) is reading this Graham Platner story and thinking: “gee, what would happen if the biggest newspaper in the country interviewed all of my exes and asked them about our drunken fights?” That’s why this story ultimately won’t land..."

The only thing here is a stinky port-a john inside an empty parking lot. No homes. No mailboxes. No businesses. Yet TWENTY SIX ‘people’ are casting ballots here. Straight-up voter fraud out in the open. This just a glimpse of what’s happening under Gavin Newsom. This is why California desperately needs Voter ID — and we must pass the Save Act NOW." Shawn Farash @Shawn_Farash, "So California has been found to have: Hospice fraud SNAP fraud Homeless shelter/funding fraud Healthcare/Medicare fraud Immigration fraud And many other forms of fraud... Quote FischerKing @FischerKing64, "This is hilarious. The prosecution struck 3 potential jurors who were black, and the defense objected. He moved through multiple security layers, blended in with passengers, and got past the gate while employees were distracted. Once onboard, he sat in the wrong seat, bounced between bathrooms, used a false name, and even helped force the plane back to the gate. The flight was delayed for hours. HOW does this happen at one of America’s busiest airports? TSA and airport security have some serious explaining to do. Our so-called security systems are an absolute joke."
