Beach Report 3/4/24

Around 50 F, overcast and with a bit of wind coming down from the north.
The added wave action helped the fossil hunting. I did pretty well, 22 teeth, mostly small and mediums, 2 crab claws, a tiny vertebrate, and 4 stingray mouth plates, including  . . .
This really nice, almost complete (they're pretty fragile) Bonnet Ray.
While I was way up the beach, the birds started working right in front of me in very shallow water. Are they hitting bait being pushed around by Striped Bass? Inquiring minds want to know, but, alas, I did not lug a fishing rod and reel along. It is tempting, though.
