I'm Back

With the water getting colder (in the upper 40s currently) the fish have mostly moved out of the shallows and tributaries and out into the mainstem of the Bay.

We had four fishermen today, Keith, Bill, Chris, and myself. They are all neighbors near the upper Bay, and I was filling a slot left by someone who had to drop out.
Based on the last few days of fishing, Pete headed straight down south to the mouth of Potomac River. We struggled down there, birds weren't showing the way, and we didn't stumble over them with the sonar and we only found a couple of dinks. We worked out way back up along the channel edge to near buoy 72A where Pete finally located fish using a combination of "bent pole" sonar, and his boat's amazing side scan sonar system. At that point we rapidly caught our limit of 8 fish. I got lucky, and hooked (and landed) the largest, this fat 28 inch fish.
The take, after 92 miles.
