Beach Report 2/9/23

Warm, and overcast today, with mild wind, about 10 kts from the east.

Because we were running a bit late, the tide was nearly to the top, and we could barely get up to the far part of Matoaka. With my slightly taller boots I crossed the small tree, and left Georgia and Skye on the other side . . . 

. . . and found this, an unusually wide White Shark tooth. Could it be the elusive "broad form", Carcharodon plicatilis? Fossilguy says they are only from Pliocene deposits, and all our are Miocene, so probably not.
