Election 2020 and Beyond

Yeah, I know, this series has morphed in to a thread about elections and their consequences in general.

Shockingly Jen Rubin has an opinion at WaPoo, The Jan. 6 select committee is about more than just Jan. 6. Duh, it's all about maintaining a narrative that Trump and Trump supporters are dangerous racists until the next election. What did she think it was about? "In short, the Jan. 6 select committee should now be considered the “plot to steal the election” committee. "

At Am Great Adam Mill wonders Why Do Capitol Hill Police Keep Turning Up Dead?. Personally, I suspect it's because Jan 6. Capitol Incursion touched off a witch-hunt for "racist" Capitol Police officers. There's plenty of evidence that many opened doors and let the rioters in. They had to be worried. Prove me wrong. Also at Am Great, Joe Kent has more Questions About Feds’ Involvement in January 6 that Demand Answers. The FBI et al have infiltrated (and supported) a wide range of right-wing groups, it's almost unbelievable that they did not have agents and/or snitches at the Capitol that day. The FBI (as a whole, not individual agents) is evil, not incompetent.

1) How many confidential human sources (CHS), intelligence sources, agents, informants, or undercover law enforcement officers were present at the Capitol on January 6?

2) What role did these sources/agents/undercovers (SAUs) play during the events of the day?

3) How and what did the SAUs report to their controlling officers on January 6 and prior to that day?

4) How many SAUs were in direct contact with individuals currently detained or charged by the Justice Department?

5) How much involvement were SAUs allowed to have in illegal activity on January 6 or prior to that day?

6) Were the SAUs instructed to report threats of imminent danger? How many reported any plans to attack prior to January 6 or attacks in progress that day?

7) Prior to January 6, how many SAUs had infiltrated or were reporting on groups or individuals planning violence against the Capitol?

Like a dog with bone, Julie Kelly at Am Great chews on The Justice Department’s ‘Troubling’ Discovery Delays, "January 6 defendants appear to have practically no shot at a fair trial in Washington, D.C. Some judges are finally pushing back." Good.

Greg Piper at JTN reports Top Republicans demand answers from FBI for 'quasi-investigation' of conservative women's group

The FBI used a bureaucratic workaround to investigate a women's group with a socially conservative agenda, despite having no "particular factual predication" for wrongdoing, according to a document disclosed under the Freedom of Information Act.

The revelation outraged top Republicans on the House and Senate Judiciary committees, who are demanding an explanation from FBI Director Christopher Wray.

The July 2016 review of Concerned Women for America (CWA) for the "possibility of fraudulent activity" was based on its two-star rating (out of four) by Charity Navigator, which evaluates nonprofits for their financial health and transparency, according to the FBI "charity assessment."

The redacted FBI form emphasizes that CWA, whose leader was a public supporter of then-candidate Donald Trump, "underperforms most charities in its Cause" by Charity Navigator's standards. It's also listed among "non-disclosure charities" by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance, meaning it didn't consent to evaluation by that charity watchdog.

My guess, without bothering to check, is that in compliance with O'Sullivan's Law, Charity Navigator has become a left-wing shill.

Da Wire reports U.S. Army Vet Who Converted To Islam And Supported Violent Jihad Convicted In Plot To Bomb California Rally. A couple of points. It was a "right-wing" rally he intended to bomb, and an undercover FBI agent facilitated the plot by offering to make the bomb (this guy bought nails to put in the bomb allegedly). Would he have ever gotten there without the "assistance" of the FBI? Who knows.

WaPoo whines, What Rosen told U.S. senators: Trump applied ‘persistent’ pressure to get Justice to discredit election. The title contains a little sleight of hand; he applied pressure to get DOJ to investigate possible election fraud. They wanted to do as little as possible. Politico is even more flagrant with it's deception, Emails: Senior DOJ officials wrangled over baseless Trump voter fraud allegations, inserting the customary "baseless." Apparently in agreement, AllahPundit crows about "You're kidding yourself": Voter fraud isn't the reason Trump lost the election, says Dan Crenshaw. Business Insider, Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw is heckled at a fundraiser for insisting the 2020 election was 'absolutely not' stolen from Trump.

WaPoo whines Texas GOP ramps up push to enact voting restrictions, passing a bill in the Senate and moving to arrest House Democrats who staged walkout, maintaining the voting restriction narrative. HE, Texas Senate Passes Election Bill (Finally). See, a nice neutral title. The next fight is in the Texas House. Karen Townsend at Hot Hair informs us that a Texas fleebagger avoids arrest for now - judge grants writ of habeas corpus, but Nick Arama at Red State claims the Texas Supreme Court Wipes the Smile off Runaway Dems' Faces With Latest OrderBREAKING: The Texas Supreme Court just halted the Harris County judge’s order that was protecting Democrats from arrest warrants.

Greg Sargent at WaPoo opines The GOP strategy for retaking power is about to take an ugly new turn. He means  redistricting and Gerrymandering. Get back to me when your ready to fix Maryland.  NYPo, Census data used to draw congressional maps unveiled

With the new data, Republicans could see an advantage, with shifts in population and state legislatures in key swing states holding jurisdiction over certain states, many of which hold jurisdiction over redrawing the congressional lines.

With the population shifts, Texas is set to gain two seats, while Florida, North Carolina, Colorado, Montana and Oregon will each gain one seat. California, New York, Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Illinois are each slated to lose one congressional district.

At Da Caller, Here Are The Clear Reasons Why Hispanics Are Moving Away From The Democratic Party. Basically, because the Democrats are the party of crazy. From Breitbart, Trump Ally Grenell’s ‘Fix California’ Identifies 1.3 Million California Conservatives Not Registered to Vote. Not enough to turn the state, but maybe enough to capture some House seats.

As if we needed more proof you can't trust voting computers (machines), from JTN, Colorado orders Mesa County to replace election machines after data breach

Mesa County must replace its election machines following a data breach, the Colorado secretary of state ordered on Thursday. ''According to the order, Mesa County election officials must replace 41 voting machines after an investigation revealed that software passwords"
were compromised. So it's easier to throw them out and start fresh with machines pre-compromised from Dominion?

Grabien, a popular site conservative outlets use to obtain news clips, has been battling YouTube’s censorship over the past several months, starting in May when the tech giant blocked a Grabien video that featured a concerned mother denouncing child mask mandates. On Tuesday, Grabien founder Tom Elliott lamented that YouTube demonetized his company’s channel one week after it pulled a clip featuring former President Donald Trump speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

WaPoo,  The Technology 202: Google and Apple face a new threat in the Senate. The House is set to follow.

The bipartisan legislation would deal a massive blow to Google and Apple by prohibiting them from giving their own apps preferential treatment or punishing developers that offer their apps for different pricing elsewhere, as well as ending requirements that app providers use an app store’s payment system. Critics say the companies use those tactics to enrich themselves while squeezing smaller competitors, as my colleague Cat Zakrzewski reported.

It's a start, but it doesn't get to the heart of the censorship issue. Which, of course, Democrats have no interest in doing.

At Breitbart,  Eric Holder: ‘Citizens Need to Be in Streets’ Getting Arrested over Voting Rights. Of course, he means his side, but what happens when The Silent Majority is Going to Get Loud (Am Think). They'll just call them racist White supremacist's, like usual. Max Morton at Da Fed  believes The Biden Administration’s Extremism Is Fuel For Domestic Unrest Establishment, "gaslighting and threats from the Biden regime’s increasingly unhinged national security surrogates is itself becoming a radicalizing agent."

The NYT (cited at Hot Hair) is pissed that Watchdog to scrutinize Tucker Carlson's claim that NSA spied on him.

And last, sundance at CTH thinks the hoopla about the "lambda" variant is about maintaining mail-in, drive-in and ballot harvesting for the 2022 election: Next Up, Vaccine Resistant COVID Lambda Variant From Central and South America, The 2022 Mid-Term Lock-down and Mail-In Ballot Variant.

Election 2020: Schumer Tries to Pull a Fast One

But first, I'm starting off with Jan 6 material. A quick review, from Rick Moran at PJ Media, Federal Judge Suggests Prosecutors Being Too Lenient on Capitol Rioters and WHSV3, Man charged in Capitol riot assault can be released on bond. Fresh, from Clarice at Am Think, Latest developments in the prosecution of January 6 defendants and from rom LI, Jan 6 Prosecutors admit to possession of “images of officers hugging or fist-bumping rioters, posing for photos with rioters, and moving bike racks” "Calls into question the trespassing and related non-violent crimes charged against defendants like Cuoy Griffin." As Insty notes

WORST. INSURRECTION. EVER: Jan 6 Prosecutors admit to possession of “images of officers hugging or fist-bumping rioters, posing for photos with rioters, and moving bike racks.” Calls into question the trespassing and related non-violent crimes charged against defendants like Cuoy Griffin.

At the Morning Rant at Ace's the Great Ape says  HEY EVERYBODY, I KNOW WHAT WE CAN DO, LET'S PUT ON A SHOW!"

Seeing videos the Democrats' kangaroo court/investigation of the Jan 6th riots and the Capitol Police officers blubbering and boohooing like teenaged girls about how it was The Very Worst Day Of Their Entire Lives, Serious, Listen To Me Right Now Daddy I'm Talking To You and I had to laugh. I mean, really, is there *anybody* who can't see that this is all just a scripted drama? And we're all supposed to sit there and nod our heads gravely and feel our hearts aching for these poor, poor, pitiful, put-upon officers who had to endure such trauma and abuse. It's enough to make you cry. It sure enough was enough to make *them* cry.

The GOP leadership should've just laughed them out of the building.

But they don't. I'm tired of getting jerked around by these stupid fake victims the left puts up, these crisis actors that nobody pushes back on, nobody, that is, who is in any position to do so. Our side just plays right along.

At JTN,  Trump on who killed Ashli Babbitt: 'We know who he is' "If that happened to the 'other side,' there would be riots all over America," Trump said. At PM, BREAKING: Trump releases statement calling for 'justice' in the case of Ashli Babbitt. Samuel Goldman at Da Week asks, Have the parties switched sides on patriotism? No, but the Democrats can feign patriotism when it's useful.

Say for example, from the Wa Free Bee, Dem Official Says Burning Police Station Was ‘Act of Pure Righteousness’ "Minneapolis party chairman says 'decorum' is 'hallmark of white supremacy'" and Capt. Ed at Hot Hair, Minneapolis Dem chair: Torching the 3rd Precinct "an act of pure righteousness". Meanwhile, Law Officer reports Minneapolis rioter receives 9-year prison sentence. Good. At Am Great Nice Deb reports California Professor Accused of Starting Wildfires Predicted Trump Would ‘Get Violent’ if He Lost 2020 Election. With credentials like that he could Biden EPA administrator.

While court documents allege that Maynard is connected to more than a half-dozen dangerous fires in Northern California, he is currently charged with starting only the Ranch Fire. That blaze broke out on Saturday morning, in a remote area where, according to court records, Maynard had just camped for the night. It’s one of three fires officials allege Maynard set in recent days—all of them very close to the Dixie Fire’s northeastern footprint.

Breitbart,  Exclusive — GOP Stands Up ‘Permanent’ ‘Election Integrity Operations’ Nationwide to ‘Kill’ Democrat Takeover Attempts ‘in Their Infancy’. Atop Da Hill, Schumer sets September voting rights fight after GOP blocks quick debate  Karen Townsend at Hot Hair elaborates on how Ted Cruz blocks Democrats' attempt to shove through voting rights package in the middle of the night. Schumer is a sneaky shit.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer tried to pull a fast one in the wee hours of Wednesday morning. While most of us were sleeping last night, Schumer thought it was a good idea to bring up the Senate’s version of the For the People Act, calling for a vote via unanimous consent at 4:00 a.m. It takes only one objection from a senator to stop the vote. Senator Cruz was that vote.

The fact that Schumer tried to do this at 4:00 a.m. after fifteen hours of amendment votes on the $3.5 trillion budget resolution tells the story. He isn’t operating in good faith. The Senate passed the bloated budget resolution and then Schumer tried to pass the voting rights package by unanimous consent. Fortunately, Cruz was awake and paying attention. He objected which foiled Schumer’s effort. Cruz said, “This bill would constitute a federal government takeover of elections. It would constitute a massive power grab by Democrats.”

NYPo reports Arrest warrants issued for dozens of Texas Dems who fled state to halt voting bill and at PM, Arrest warrants signed by Texas House Speaker for 52 absent Democrats. Round 'em up, bring 'em home and chain them to their desks. But WaPoo suggests Texas GOP hits new roadblocks in its pursuit of voting restrictions "In the state Senate, a Democrat planned a filibuster to slow a Republican bill that would limit voter access. In the state House, officials chased absent Democrats — with little apparent success." No workee, no payee.

Dan Payne at JTN, Audit cites Fulton County elections department for financial errors, missing equipment, while HE reports Anti-Trump Group Donated $85k to Atlanta Election Judges, Auditors Want it Returned. No conflict of interest, though, I'm sure. Which brings us to Day Two, Mike Lindell Cyber Symposium on 2020 Election Fraud – Livestream Links, from sundance at CTH who features Seth Keshel Presents Ten Statistical Anomalies Highlighting 2020 Election Vote Fraud and Manipulation. It's a good talk, I recommend watching it. But statistics aren't going to cut it. Similarly Dave in FL at Ace's predicts a Democrat Disaster In Pennsylvania. Wait until the votes are cast.

You need to find the smoking gun and the bullets. Sadly, from Forbes (cited at Hot Hair), Trump allies Giuliani and Powell lose bid to dismiss Dominion lawsuits. They're sure trying hard to suppress something. WaPoo whines Giuliani told agents it was okay to ‘throw a fake’ during political campaign. A politician tell a lie on the campaign trail? If we arrested them all their wouldn't be any room for crack dealers.

At WaEx, Census data release starts redistricting scramble that could help GOP win House. I don't even trust the census not to cheat anymore.

The Casper Star Trib reports Republicans in 2 Wyoming counties vote to stop recognizing Cheney as party member and Mike Miller at Red State calls it Wyoming GOP Begins Throwing Liz Cheney Under the Bus in Classic Trumpian Style. Well, votes have consequences.

And the NYT (cited at Hot Hair) reluctantly admits Watchdog to scrutinize Tucker Carlson's claim that NSA spied on him

Election 2020: Fleebaggers Threatened with Arrest

The Jan. 6 thread seems a little thin today, only a single entry, but it's a hopeful one, via  the Wombat's In The Mailbox: 08.10.21,  bulldog Julie Kelly reports from Am Great that the Appellate Court Overturns Pre-Trial Detention for J6 Detainee. Will they take the hint and grant bail to the large number of people being held without bail on charges which are likely be reduced to misdemeanors? Or will they make each one appeal separately?

In a stunning but well-deserved rebuke, the D.C. Court of Appeals on Monday ordered that the pre-trial detention of George Tanios, one of two men accused of spraying Officer Sicknick and others on January 6, be reversed.

The brief ruling, which did not include the usual opinion explaining the court’s decision, bluntly stated:
“ORDERED and ADJUDGED that the district court’s May 12, 2021 order be reversed and the case remanded for the district court to order appellant’s pretrial release subject to appropriate conditions, including home detention and electronic monitoring. On this record, we conclude that the district court clearly erred in determining that no condition or combination of conditions of release would reasonably assure the safety of the community.”
Tanios and his friend, Julian Khater, were arrested in March. A grand jury indicted the men with numerous felonies including conspiracy and assaulting an officer with a “dangerous or deadly weapon.” Tanios and Khater brought chemical irritants, including bear spray, to the capital in anticipation of scuffles with leftist agitators. Tanios, however, is not accused of spraying his key chain pepper spray container. Their arrest and indictment are aimed at keeping alive the lie that Sicknick was killed in the line of duty by Trump “insurrectionists,” a falsehood repeated in the news media and by Joe Biden as late as Thursday at the White House.

Biden’s Justice Department asked the court to keep Khater and Tanios behind bars awaiting trial. They have been incarcerated in the harsh D.C. Deplorable jail since March; Tanios has no criminal record, operated a college campus sandwich shop (which is now shuttered) in West Virginia, and is the father of three young children.

“The record reflects that Tanios has no past felony convictions, no ties to any extremist organizations, and no post-January 6 criminal behavior that would otherwise show him to pose a danger to the community within the meaning of the Bail Reform Act,” the three Circuit judges wrote in the August 9 opinion.

On the case of the Texas Fleebaggers, some good news too. As of they day before yesterday,  Texas Judge Blocks Arrest of Fleebagger Democrats Wanting to Return Home (Rick Moran, PJ Media) and signs of dissension in the ranks, Mediaite, Texas Democratic Legislators Fume at Colleagues Returning to Statehouse: ‘You All Threw Us Under the Bus!’, Well, yesterday, the Texas Trib reported Texas Supreme Court allows for arrest of Democrats who don’t show up to Legislature and KWTX, Waco, Texas Supreme Court allows for arrest of Democrats who don’t show up to Legislature. Then, as AllahPundit whines, 80-12: Texas House authorizes sergeant-at-arms to arrest the Dem fleebaggers and bring them back. It's all fun and games until you get nabbed by the po-po.

Georgia Star, Fulton County Elections Officials Contradict Georgia Public Broadcasting About the Source and Status of Missing Absentee Ballot Chain of Custody Documents. Given the choice between Fulton County and NPR, I choose to remain skeptical about the whole business.

And that brings us to Mike Lindell, and his symposium on the election and possible cyber hacking. Sundance at CTH has Mike Lindell Cyber Symposium August 10, 11, 12, Ongoing Livestream Links. But he has also highlighted two talks, first, Video During Cyber Symposium Shows Forensic Perspective of Who, What and How U.S. Voting Data Was Modified. I didn't get much out of this except that China has the means, motivation and opportunity to screw with our elections. However the second, Stunning Video Explanation – Dr Douglas Frank Shows How The 2010 Census Was Used to Create the Algorithm That Fabricated the 2020 Electronic Vote Outcome. I can't seem to embed the Rumble video, or I would. We've seen him before, and he certainly seems to have something. I'm just not sure what. He also finds some Conspicuous Timing as Dominion Voting Systems Sues Newsmax, OAN and Patrick Byrne on Same Day As Mike Lindell Cyber Symposium. Also, at Reuters Dominion sues Newsmax, One America over U.S. election fraud claim and WSJ (cited at Hot Hair), Dominion sues Newsmax, OAN, others over election claims. John Solomon at JTN sends Vehement anti-Trump group donated $85k to Atlanta election judges, now auditors want some repaid, "Southern Poverty Law Center grant for absentee ballot drop boxes was part of campaign seeking to turn out black voters." Plainly racist. At TNP, Dem Congressman Leading Election Reforms Has 6-Figure Investments In Chinese Communist Espionage-Linked Firms. Rep. Jim Langevin (RI-2). It's seems like China owns everybody but me, and I'm not sure.

Cutie Pavlich at Town Hall is first with The NSA Unmasked Tucker Carlson and Now the Inspector General is Investigating, Sophie Mann at JTN, NSA watchdog to investigate allegations of spying on Fox News' Tucker Carlson  PM, Tucker Carlson’s allegations of spying being investigated by NSA watchdog and Gleen Grenwalt, The NSA's Inspector General Opens Investigation Into Allegations of Illegal Spying on Tucker Carlson. Ok, I understand how Tuckah was overheard while trying to schedule an interview with Vlad, I understand how he came to be unmasked. That all seems legit. What is patently illegal is leaking that result to the press. Find who did it it and put them in the hoosegow.

From an Exclusive Excerpt—Sean Spicer: ‘Radical Nation: Joe Biden & Kamala Harris’s Dangerous Plan for America’ at Breitbart.

Third, I believe that these politicians are planning ahead. Joe Biden’s immigration plan offers a path to citizenship in eight years. So if the Biden-Harris administration allows children ages 10 and up to flood into the country, the Democrats can expect to have an army of new Democratic voters a mere eight years from now. The Biden-Harris folks know exactly what they’re doing.

And if that doesn't work?  Jonathan S. Gould and Nicholas Stephanopoulos want to Pay People to Vote and from PM, Rep. Ayanna Pressley and Kendi push for voting age to be lowered to 16 because of 'racism'. Don't let 'em vote until they're old enough to buy their own gun.

JTN, YouTube censors Rand Paul, senator accuses tech giant of becoming 'arm of the government' for saying things that Google doesn't approve of about WuFlu.  "Paul says he's turning to other platforms like Rumble to upload content that YouTube censors"

"I think, for the most part, the first amendment doesn't apply to these entities but if they become an organ for the government, if they are taking CDC pronouncements, which I think there is science on the other side of this to argue against the CDC, which has become very politicized; if they are taking government edicts and then enforcing them, are they a private entity any longer or are they becoming an organ of the government? I think it's terrible for free speech," he also said.

 Break up the tech monopolies.

Election 2020: Two More "Capitol Kerflufflers" Take a Plea

According to a Morning Consult Poll from Fuzzy Slippers at LI,  Pelosi’s Jan 6th Panel “is largely preaching to its own choir” and from I&I, Just 36% Of Independents Think The Jan. 6 Commission Is A Genuine Fact-Finding Effort, and I assume they mostly lean left. Most of the "independents" I knew from work were people who found the Democrats too right-wing.

Via the Wombat's In The Mailbox: 08.02.21, First Street Journal reports  that Two more Capitol kerfufflers plead guilty to misdemeanors

A Kentucky couple who were at the Jan. 6 Capitol riot in Washington, D.C., have pleaded guilty to participating and face a maximum punishment of six months in prison, according to federal court records filed Tuesday.

Thomas and Lori Vinson, who were arrested on Feb. 23 and charged with participating in the riot and other related crimes, have each pleaded guilty to one count of parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol Building, according to plea agreements filed in federal court. In addition to a maximum prison time of six months, the two defendants could also face a fine of up to $5,000.

Meanwhile a career kerfluffler is expected to get off scot free, Jesse Jackson arrested at Poor People’s Campaign March in DC (Fox). Also from the Wombat, Paul Mirengoff at Power Line has Ashli Babbitt & George Floyd, Compare & Contrast. And, from Joy Pullman at Da Fed, If You Don’t Suspect Government Provocation At The 1/6 Riot, Start Paying Attention. If the FBI didn't have people in the "planning", they're incompetent. The FBI is not incompetent when it comes to infiltrating right wing groups. And from Am Con, General Milley’s Imaginary Coup. He has a savior complex

Julie Kelly at Am Great, Another Partisan Stunt by the U.S. Capitol Police

Only someone who has not paid any attention to how the U.S. Capitol Police department has conducted itself over the past seven months would take these officers’ accusations at face-value. The lies, the subterfuge, and the political theater from the agency should alarm all Americans, especially since USCP plans to expand its unaccountable operations to other states.

Meanwhile at Da Caller, Fourth Capitol Police Officer Dies By Suicide After Jan. 6 Riot. But no known relationship to Jan. 6. At NYPo, Kinzinger supports issuing Jan. 6 subpoenas to McCarthy, others. Right after Nancy Pelosi testifies under oath. Hah! Just kidding!

AZCentral reports Maricopa County and Dominion won't comply with new subpoenas issued by Arizona Senate. Sundance at CTH reacts Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Responds To Arizona Senate Subpoena – Go Spit, “It’s Time to Move On”

Obviously given the nature of the court rulings that have sustained the position of the state senate, the Maricopa County BoS view the legislative subpoena as legally valid but unenforceable. They appear to stand in open defiance of the state upper-chamber because the county board perceives no threat from any enforcement mechanism (law enforcement or state attorney).

From ET,  Pennsylvania Lawmaker Intends to Issue Subpoenas After 3 Counties Reject Audit Requests. You might guess they were counties dominated by Democrats. And you'd be right! What are they trying to hide? Also at ET, Most Georgia Voters Did Not Sufficiently Check Their Paper Ballots in 2020 Election: Study. Breaking news, most people are lazy, and voting is usually the least of their worries.

At Da Caller, House Republicans Urge Dismissal Of DOJ Lawsuit Against Georgia Election Law. “This lawsuit presents no viable basis for overturning the will of the citizens of Georgia, expressed through their elected representatives who have been given the constitutional authority and duty to regulate elections,” the brief read. “This lawsuit is without merit and should be dismissed.” A waste of effort. Let the Supreme Court do the lifting. Karen Townsend at Hot Hair reports Democrat legislators flock to D.C. to support flailing fleebaggers. Close the gates and don't let them out. But  It's Republicans Who Are a Threat to Democracy

When Donald Trump won the Presidency in 2016, it was a rude awakening for Democrats. It was time for the Democrats to humbly look inward regarding the reasons they lost the working class and middle America. The Democrats urgently needed to embark on a course of rectification, lest they became politically irrelevant.

How the Democrats react in reality?

Like the jilted lover who cannot accept rejection, they refused to concede that the public had voted against them. They were unequivocal that the fault was not theirs or that of their policies. The voter was called a bigot.

Worse, they became stalkers.

At Am Great, VDH makes the connection, Incompetence + Arrogance = Woke

Of course, public servants have long suffered the “Bloomberg effect”—focusing on misdemeanors to virtue signal competence as penance for failing to solve the existential crises. If you cannot clear New York City of snow in a timely manner, then lecture the trapped on everything from global warming to the dangers of super-sized soft drinks. Yet wokeism is a bit different since it now pervades our societies as a pandemic of its own.

Take Delta Airline CEO Ed Bastian. He earns $17 million in annual compensation, and lectures the state of Georgia and the nation at large on our supposedly racist voting laws. The issue at hand is mostly a requirement to show a valid ID to vote—in the manner one must present identification to enter the boarding area of Bastian’s planes. Surely if one should vote without an ID, why not then be allowed to board a Delta flight?

I also suggest the public try to call Delta’s consumer helplines to fix the airline’s post-quarantine screw-ups with credits, refunds, rebooking, and recalibrating charges. Just try it—but expect several hours of wait time on the phone. We know now Delta is woke, but what we don’t know is whether one’s past purchase of a ticket will ensure a spot on a Delta flight, or whether prior money or mileage credited will ever be returned or applied to future travel.

A cynical observer might suggest that if Ed Bastian cannot ensure adequate consumer service, it won’t matter since he weighs in on voting laws. (Or is it worse than that? Because he pontificates on voting laws and other assorted woke issues, he thinks he can simply worry less about his own consumer services?)

The Gorilla at Ace's Morning Rant,

The Democrats have signalled that these days are over and that no loss by them will be accepted.

Actually, they've been signalling this for some time. Stacey Abrams has become a permanent media fixture and has weaponized the term "voter suppression" as if it were a thing that actually existed. She lost her race by, what, 50,000 votes, so it wasn't even close. But her profession schtick is whining about the election she claims was stolen from her.

In the future, Democrats will claim that all of their election losses will be because they were stolen. Like Stacey says, it was voter supression by the GOP what done it.

The machinery is already in place, at least on the national level. Acccording to this epic thread:
It's a fact, according to Time Magazine, that mass riots were planned in cities across the country if Trump won. Sure, they were "protests", but they were planned by the same people as during the summer, and everyone knows what it would have meant. Judges have families, too. 31/x

Another epic thread from Twitchy, mostly about vaccine hesitancy, but with an occasional tangent to the election, ‘Imagine you’re a NORMAL person’: MEGA-THREAD explains in damning detail WHY people are vaccine-hesitant and it’s near perfection.

Daniel Greenfield at Front Page explains how Big Tech is Censoring Americans Using UN Law, "The UN and Big Tech are running a secret “No Fly List” for the internet."

Stephen Kruiser at PJ Media finds The Trump 2024 Democrat Destruction Machine Readying for Battle, "This political circus is just setting up its tent, and it’s probably going to be a lot of fun to watch."

ET, Former Head NSA Lawyer: Tucker Carlson’s Allegations Merit Further Investigation

According to former NSA general counsel Stewart Baker, this report supports the calls for an investigation made by Carlson and others. The report also supports the NSA’s earlier statement that it didn’t “target” Carlson, Baker said.

“So what about NSA/Carlson should be investigated and perhaps disclosed? The unmasking request, mainly. Motive matters. First, the requester should have given a reason for the unmasking. How plausible was it, given the requester’s position?” Baker wrote on Twitter.

“The second question about NSA/Carlson unmasking: How was Carlson identified when masked? ‘US Journalist’? ‘US Citizen’? That will help gauge whether the requester really needed to know the identity behind the mask.

“Traditionally, the intelligence communities would investigate the NSA/Carlson flap with full access to the classified data, and issue a report summarizing the investigation without disclosing the classified information. Not too hard if NSA has already done its own probe.”

Baker, now a partner at Steptoe & Johnson, also said that some aspects of the investigation would need to be protected due to the sensitivity of the intelligence operation. The NSA can’t provide the full context of the Carlson probe without disclosing a target and probably the method of intercept—both highly classified, according to Baker.

It makes sense that they would catch the conversation, it even makes some sense that he would be unmasked to somebody in the intel community.  No; what we really need to know is the pathway by which the unmasking was released to the press. And fire and prosecute every bureaucrat along that chain.

Election 2020: Still Talking Jan. 6 "Insurrection" Committee

Nancy Pelosi's hand picked totally objective 'Jan. 6 chose insurrection or else' committee is still the talk of the town, with the addition of never-Trumper Adam Kinzinger. Not a high bar. I credit Ann for actually stopping to think about it in "For too long, we’ve been pretending that Jan. 6 didn’t happen. Kevin McCarthy is technically my Republican leader. And to call members of Congress by childish names like Donald Trump used to do, I guess is just kind of par for the course."

They've accepted a role on the committee. Now, Kinzinger and Cheney need to step up and distinguish themselves. It's fine that McCarthy has laid down his insult. It's a default interpretation that represents what many of us believe, that the committee will not seek the truth but do the political work of the Democrats. I'm sure Kinzinger and Cheney would love us to trust them and to regard them as truth-bringers. But I want a fire lit under them. They'll need to rebut the presumption that they're "Pelosi Republicans."

"... greater than ISIS or al Qaeda or China or Russia, why do they need to manufacture a plot — and put in people's heads — the idea let's go kidnap Governor Whitmer? There should be tons of plots that they are detecting? That leads to the question people on your network and others have asked to the horror of the liberal sector of the corporate media, which is: What did the FBI know about the planning of the January 6 attack? How embedded were they in these groups? Because what happens is when these kinds of attacks happen, the FBI and the security state seize on them to say See? there are grave dangers, we need more money, more power, more surveillance authorities in order to keep you safe. And so if they are the ones driving it, it leads to the question of what those motives are."

Stacy McCain identifies The #1 Cause of Anti-Semitism
If the Anti-Defamation League wants to do something to suppress anti-Semitism in this country, they would encourage Chuck Schumer to retire or, failing that, tell him to stop insulting Americans:
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer berated 74 million Trump voters, saying at an event with Roosevelt Island and Upper East Side community leaders in New York that they voted for a “despicable,” “racist,” and “vile” man.
“How could 74 million people vote for such a despicable human being as Donald Trump?” Schumer asked in the video. “I don’t care if you’re a liberal or a conservative, Democrat or Republican, he is a vile man.”
“He is dishonest, divisive. That’s what he loves to do. Just divide and have people fighting with each other. He’s a racist,” Schumer claimed. “And he always appeals to the dark side of human nature.”
Everything that Schumer said about Trump is twice as true of Schumer, who is and always has been one of the most dishonest and divisive people in American politics. The fact that New Yorkers would elect such a vicious scumbag to the Senate is a stain upon the reputation of New York.

Election 2020: The Red Queen Gets Another Pawn

Verdict first, trial afterwards, with a jury selected with convictions already set. First Mediaite reports JUST IN: Nancy Pelosi Says She’s Speaking to GOP Rep. Kinzinger About Joining January 6 Committee, and at Breitbart, Pelosi: ‘My Plan’ Is to Appoint Rep. Kinzinger to the January 6 Select Committee. Kinzinger is, of course, the virulently Never-Trump congresscritter from Illinois who voted "aye" in the second impeachment. Then, Hot Hair cites a Forbes tweet, Adam Kinzinger accepts Pelosi appointment to January 6 committee. Sundance at CTH, Nancy Pelosi Enlists Adam Kinzinger For J6 Committee to Re-elect Democrats, Giddy Kinzinger Thanks Pelosi For The Opportunity to “Serve” Her Needs

Both Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are likely to be destroyed in the 2022 republican primary election, so it makes sense for them to do as much damage as possible before they formally announce their party affiliation switch to Democrat; following Florida’s famous Obama hugger, Charlie Crist, and his career path.

and REMINDER, Ten House Republicans Who Voted to Impeach President Trump, and Links To Their Primary Opponents Who Need Support

The Peacock crows that Liz Cheney's role on Jan. 6 committee grows after GOP pulls participation. WaPoo says Jan. 6 select committee to open investigation amid political chaos and controversy. At NYPo, Miranda Devine thinks Nancy Pelosi’s on her last legs: Devine. At WaEx, Byron York's Daily Memo details: Democrats, double standards, and the Capitol riot committee;

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she barred Representatives Jim Jordan and Jim Banks from the Capitol riot investigating committee because the two Republicans "had made statements and taken actions that I think would impact the integrity of the committee." Pelosi said Jordan and Banks also "made statements and took actions that just made it ridiculous to put them on such a committee seeking the truth."

But what about Pelosi's Democratic choices for the committee? Might some of their statements and actions in the past impact the integrity of the committee? And have some of them said and done things that were so at odds with the facts as to make it ridiculous to put them on a committee seeking the truth?
. . .
Then there is another Democratic member, Representative Adam Schiff. As the ranking minority on the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff promoted the slanderous and unsubstantiated theories of the Steele dossier. For example, Schiff publicized a theory that Russia offered low-level Trump campaign adviser Carter Page potentially billions of dollars to influence Trump -- Schiff actually read the dossier's allegations aloud at an Intelligence Committee hearing. Schiff protested bitterly when his Republican counterpart on the committee, Chairman Devin Nunes, revealed that the dossier was paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party and that the FBI improperly used it to get a court-approved warrant to wiretap Page. Of course, the Trump-Russia special counsel, Robert Mueller, found no evidence to establish the claim about Page.

On the broader issue of collusion, Schiff claimed to have proof that it was true. There was "ample evidence of collusion in plain sight," he said. But the Mueller investigation, which had infinitely more resources than Schiff, plus full law enforcement powers, could not establish that collusion ever took place, much less that it involved anyone in the Trump campaign. Schiff devoted years to leading his party -- and much of the media -- on a wild goose chase, even before he was chosen by Pelosi to lead the first Trump impeachment, which failed to convict the president.

Could one argue that Schiff has made statements and taken actions that would impact the integrity of the Capitol riot investigating committee?

No one really expects congressional committees to be fair, but this one is ridiculous even by the standards of congress.

Andrea Widburg at Am Think thinks she knows why There may be some method to the January 6 overcharging madness

Democrats, by likening those involved in January 6's Capitol fracas to the Civil War, Pearl Harbor, Kristallnacht, and 9/11, all rolled into one, created a conceptual problem for themselves because even felony charges will result in short sentences. The resulting cognitive dissonance will make people question the overheated claims about January 6. My friend Anony Mee, however, may have figured out one of the more nefarious things that's going on with the extremist hysteria to justify those felony charges:
It occurs to me that there is a reason behind charging the January 6 trespassers with felonies. It's so they can never again own guns or, in some states, vote.

The BLM/Antifa rioters and their hench-looters, if they were charged at all, were mostly charged with misdemeanors. Only some of those who seriously injured someone else were hit with a felony. They can still carry guns and vote.

The homeless who commit felony after felony are only charged with misdemeanors, if charged at all, so their "right" to vote is never in question.

The feds are still hunting down everyone who can be identified as having been anywhere near DC so that they can take away their guns and their right to vote.

Joseph Hackett, you see, is a 51-year-old Trump supporter and member of an organization called the “Oath Keepers,” a group whose members have pledged to “defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.” (You can see how this ends already, can’t you?) The FBI does not like the Oath Keepers. They arrested its leader in January and have picked up many other members in the months since. Hackett came from his home in Florida to join the Trump “Stop the Steal” rally that took place on January 6. According to court documents, he entered the Capitol at 2:45 that afternoon. He left some ten minutes later, at 2:54. The next day, he went home. On May 28, he was apprehended by the FBI and indicted on a long list of charges, including conspiracy, obstruction of an official proceeding, destruction of government property, and illegally entering a restricted building.

As far as I have been able to determine, no evidence of his destroying property has been made public. According to his wife, it is not even clear that he entered the Capitol. But he certainly was in the environs. He was a member of the Oath Keepers. He was a supporter of Donald Trump. Therefore, he must be neutralized. What about the Antifa and Black Lives Matter “peaceful protestors” who destroyed some $2 billion of property, killed or injured scores, and toppled countless public monuments? Take your time.

Dan Chaitin at WaEx reports a Pennsylvania senator to seek subpoenas for election audit. Another dangerous radical!

Letters were sent to Philadelphia, York, and Tiago counties earlier this month. Mastriano set a deadline of July 31 and threatened to pursue subpoenas if they did not comply, setting up a process reminiscent of the run-up to the GOP-led Arizona Senate's audit in Maricopa County. Some officials in these Pennsylvania counties already signaled they would not fully comply with the request as things stood.

Election 2020: SharpieGate Lives

A diverse lot for a Sunday Morning. Lets start with the As, as in Arizona, where the Western Journal has an AZ Audit Exclusive: AZ Senate President Confirms Ballots Were Printed on Wrong Paper, Allowed Bleed-Through. Remember the sharpie controversy? Turns out there might be something to it:

Speaking with The Western Journal on Thursday, Arizona State President Karen Fann confirmed that a number of ballots in the 2020 election were indeed printed on the wrong paper, allowing bleed-through which then invalidated those ballots. During a broadcasted state Senate hearing held on July 15 regarding the Maricopa County presidential election audit, Arizona senators revealed as much.
. . .
“For example, we can go back to an actual public document that [Maricopa County officials] had on their website and they put out there and said, ‘We only use four types of paper for our ballots,’ and those ballots are — it’s a special kind of paper that has, I believe, it’s a titanium film on it, if you will, which actually prevent people from — from the ballots, from seeping through on the other side,” Fann told The Western Journal.

“Well, we know for a fact from the hearing last Thursday that there is a lot of ballots out there that they marked through, and images of them. So clearly, that was misinformation when they said we only use four types of paper.”

During the July 15 hearing, images were provided showing that some ballots did suffer bleed-through which, if the proper VoteSecure paper had been used, should have been impossible. According to Fann, Senate Republicans have affidavits from poll workers confirming that some polls “were not using any special paper.”

“As a matter of fact, if they ran out of paper, somebody was sent down to the nearest office supply store to pick up more paper. So that in itself is, okay, obviously, that’s not secure paper. Obviously, you’re going to have bleed-throughs,” Fann told The Western Journal.

So here's the trick. A ballot marked with a sharpie bleeds through, and then the machine refuses to read it, and the ballot goes on to "adjudication" where a county employee is free to decide who the vote was intended for. It's no secret that most county employees are Democrats. Were votes changed in adjudication? Only a comparison of the original ballots and the "adjudicated" ballots can tell. Guess who's resisting that comparison.

At Breitbart, Rep. Byron Donalds Shreds Democrat Argument on Voter ID: I Had an ID at 13, but via Fox, Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. says voter ID requirements 'insidious' in talk with fleeing Texas Dems.

Speaking of the plague bearing Texas Fleebaggers, at Hot Hair, Karen Townsend reports Texas Democrats unravel - "I'm just pissed off" that Biden won't meet with them. Well, he's vaccinated, right? And again from Fox, Psaki refuses to give number of breakthrough WH Covid cases: 'Why do you need that information?' To embarrass you, thanks very much!

CNN claims Bumble match turns in January 6 suspect who allegedly whipped police. Michael Walsh at NYPo, The FBI is made of snitches, often trapping Americans into committing crimes. I think we'll find many undercover FBI agents and snitches participated in Jan, 6.

PM, NSA confirmed to have 'unmasked' Tucker Carlson in surveilled communications, "An NSA review confirms Tucker Carlson was unmasked in communications between two third-parties." And then leaked, which is how it got to Carlson, and other media figures. And speaking of Carlson, from Da Caller, ‘Settle Down, Son’: Tucker Carlson Laughs In Face Of Heckler Who Calls Him ‘Worst Human Being’ and Althouse reports The Lincoln Project celebrates intrusive rudeness by hailing the heckler. I guess it was Tucker's day to be Immanuel Goldstein.

Da Caller takes notice of how the Media Helps Push White House Line On Social Media Censorship. I guess we're still pretending this is just about WuFlu. As Michael Barone reports from NYPo, Democrats condemn Trump’s ‘Big Lie’ but keep telling ones even worse ones themselves. And PM must have taken the brown acid, FLASHBACK: MSNBC hosts spread vaccine misinformation in order to slam Trump. At Creators Syndicate Barone reminds us Speech Suppression is Habit-Forming. At City Journal, JS Steele  discussed The New Censorship, "History shows the dangers of suppressing scientific debate—but social media platforms, using public health as a justification, are eroding free speech" as Twitter Temporarily Suspends Marjorie Taylor Greene After Alleged Vaccine Misinformation (Da Caller)

Greene tweeted both Sunday and Monday that COVID-19 was not dangerous for individuals unless they were above the age of 65 and obese, The New York Times (NYT) reported. Greene also argued that “defeating obesity” would help fight the virus and that vaccines should not be mandated, according to The Hill.
Indeed, a bit of an overstatement, but that wouldn't get a lib banned. At NYPo Ben Shapiro thinks America’s silent majority must fight liberals killing freedom of speech. Quitting Twitter and Facebook would be a start. Da Beast is apparently happy that Even Dershowitz Took a Pass on Trump’s Big Tech Suit. Even if the fight is doomed, it's worth making the point. It's how the libs do it; keep hammering until they give in.
