A nursing student from Alabama was crowned Miss America 2025. Abbie Stockard, 22, who represented Alabama during the 2025 Miss America Pageant, won the title of Miss America Sunday.
“This is insane,” Stockard said in a video posted on the organization’s Instagram. “I don’t know what I did to deserve this.”
Stockard is a nursing student and former cheerleader at Auburn University, according to social media posts. She was crowned Miss Alabama in June 2024 before moving on to compete in Miss America.
Stockard competed against 51 other delegates from each state, including Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.
Inga Thompson, a former U.S. Olympic cyclist and lifelong member of the Democratic Party, admitted recently in an interview that she’s rooting for President Donald Trump when it comes to his views on protecting female sports from the transgender nonsense.
One of the biggest sticking points in Trump‘s campaign was his vow to wipe out biological males competing against women. During election season, pro-Trump advertisements put Kamala Harris on the side of transgenders being allowed to partake in female sports, which she is. My man Trump even gloriously labeled transgenders in women’s sports as “so far out.” (LMAO, love it) That’s when Thompson caught herself showing support for the president.

Pop superstar Taylor Swift and WNBA star Caitlin Clark made headlines on Sunday as they watched the Kansas City Chiefs play the Houston Texans together at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

She rushed to her Instagram account to share a video apology as if it were still 2020.

London (AFP) – Two climate activists disrupted a London stage performance of William Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”, starring Hollywood actress Sigourney Weaver, on Monday.
The protesters climbed onto the stage at London’s Theatre Royal, launching a confetti cannon and holding a sign which read “Over 1.5 Degrees is a Global Shipwreck”.
