Doggy Day at the Beach

It's nice and sunny today, and the wind, while above 10 mph, is almost straight out of the west, which gives us protection on the beach, and leaves the bay nice and calm (at least on our side).  A great day for a walk.

We met Buddy and his owner up on the street, and Buddy stopped by for a pet and a treat.
We also met Maggie and her Welsh Corgi, Theena (at least that's how I heard it).  She and Skye had a good romp.  Hopefully Skye won't be too sore tonight.  (We had a bit of a scare last Sunday night.)

Walleye Pete coming home for lunch, and to get a new crew of fishermen I suppose.

A kayaker setting out to fish.  Some hardy souls do paddle the 2+ miles down to the power plant in winter to fish.  I didn't see if he headed that direction, though.
"I'll drive home, Mom"!

  1. Scare with Skye? What happened? We almost lost Cinnamon to Pancreatitis over Christmas.

  2. Last Sunday, in the evening, she was having trouble with her hind legs, like she hurt them. We had a trip to the emergency vet a year ago over something similar. Never found anything, and it seems to get better over a day. But she's not getting any younger.
