It was a pretty low tide, (actually, right on astronomical), but as often happens on blow-out tides, fossil hunting was poor; I managed to pick up one very ordinary Carcharhinus tooth on the way back. Oh well, at least I didn't get skunked.
One day you wash up on the beach, wet and naked. Another day you wash back out. In between, the scenery changes constantly.

Beach Report 1/20/25
After watching the inauguration and the ensuing speech, I headed to the beach. It was clear and cold today, in the upper 20s, with a 15-20 knot NW wind. Even 2 weeks after the storm, and despite some rain yesterday, before the freeze, there's still some snow in places the sun doesn't reach.
